Two or four doors?? I wouldn't pay any more than $300 for an auto 4 door. Depending on what it has on it, eg. wheels. Also, 92,000 on a KE30 could mean its been around already. My update KE30 had 208,000 so it is possible. Posting pics may help if you have some too..

Have a look under the car to see if the excess oil has come out maybe? I was under mine yesterday and thing I might have overfilled it last time. :)

Thats mhat my Haynes manual says for K40/K50 box. And T40/T50 is 1.5Ltrs. And the Gregory's manual says exactly the same.

The boxes should swap right over. Depending on what the box is from the shifter position may vary. KE70 shifter position is towards the back while KE3X/KE5X is in the center. Not sure if there was KE1X/KE2X 5 speeds but if there were it'd be towards the front. J.

Its all fine at the mo, the cars at the mechanic getting fixed. Tho she doesn't kick over first go, i'll see when it comes back if it continues and maybe have it looked into.

Okay, Temp sender out and replaced. I had to get it from SL2's 4K as SL1's was stuck on and Lolla's 4K is at Trev's. Sadly, I can't test it as the oil leak from behind my fuel pump is worse than I thought. One of the nuts were loose and when I originally tried to tighten it, it kept slipping. I grabbed a nut from my spare 4K hoping that it wasn't worse than that and found that the thread on that bolt was like a spring and easily came off. I've stuck it back one but with one nut. I'm hoping it'll hold while I drive it tomorrow down to my mechanic.

All we could find was the two piece.

Sounds like a plan. I'll have make a trip to Trev's as thats where the engine is at the mo. She's also leaking oil from what I could see from under the fuel pump. It might just need a new gasket. I'll be looking into that tomorrow.

This month is Lolla's 29th birthday :P and she's been in my possession for two years now. So I decided to mark the occasion by installing a 5K. Lolla now is a 1.5 and is the first of three to have her implants. Here are the photos of the day... Lolla waiting eagerly for her surgery. The 5K in question that is currently in my car. One last look at the engine bay before we pull it apart. Just a shot of Lolla parked in the jungle of Trev's long grass. 4K almost ready to come out. 4K coming out. I was even able to ride it out as we needed to push the box down :no2: Engine finally out. Only been two years since this bay was empty last. Des, the late comer, having one thing to say. Trev saying the same thing. Engine finally going in. I stopped taking photos from here, i was getting too dirty for my phone. My hands were amazingly black. The current engine bay shot looks pretty much like it did beforehand, except for the fact that the 5K is dirtier. We had a few issues when sticking it back in, My extractors played a massive part in that. We think we might have bent them when either pulling the 4K out or dropping the 5K in. The help of Trev's trusty hammer got the inlet manifold on. We stuck the one from the 4K on as it had no emission controls. I'll see how that goes and if I have to I'll change it back. Only one problem left. Its reading a fairly high temp as I'm driving. It sits around 2/3's on the highway and 1/2 when I'm stationary. Would anyone know what my problem could be? Driving home last night was soo good. She has got a fair bit of extra power. I LOVE IT!!

Looks great manOH MAY GOD THOSE PLATES ARE HUGE!! Is that so the cops can read your numbers from extra far way?? It almost looks like someone sprayed those numbers on with a stencil. Back on topic, whats next on the cards??

Aren't the wiper motors all the same?? I had intermitiant wipers installed in my 30 and all I needed was the part that sits behind the kick panel. I'm assuming it wouldn't be too much of a differance between 55's and 70's.

So what are you doing with the old box?? Auto or man?

Apparently it is a H4 kit but according to my auto electrician it isn't. They'll be in in a week or so when I get paid next.
