I say your ride will look sick once you've completed what you are plainning to do. Go for it. My car was a peice of shit at first. My brother tried giving it away to the wreckers and no one wanted it. And now, one year on, he is surprised at how well it runs and looks. Plus shes so hot, that there are people that wanna steal her. :y:

I thought I might share what happened to Lolla yesterday afternoon. I've just now come home from doing another massive shift (like 14 hours). I work as a manager at a McDonalds restaraunt south of Brisbane. Just after 5pm yesterday i was working on the drive thru with the kids and i heard an alarm go off through the speaker box. I looked up at the monitor and saw my car with its lights flashing and a young guy legging it away from my car. As soon as i saw that i got all worked up and ran to check out Lolla. I deactivated the alarm and went to inspect my ride. The other cars in drive thru told me that the theif said to them that his battery was flat and he was trying to lift the bonnet up or something. I just don't understand why he didn't see the flashing light on my dash. A guy I work with said that apparently if a car has an immobiliser, and if you unplug the battery and plug it back in it will turn it off. Is this tru?? I donno if hes done anything and I can't see any damage cause its still dark. What upsets me the most if that Lolla almost became a statistic. The kid only would have used her for a joy ride and smashed the f@$k out of her before torching her. My store manager was gonna check the security footage but the mouse on the security camera computer had a flat battery. One thing I kept saying all night was that "Thats the best $1,000.00 i've ever spent". Has anyone else been in a similar situation?? And what would you do if you caught the peice of shit??

I rung around yesterday for quotes on having my speedo re-calabrated. I want to have it done cause at the moment my speedo is out by abit and soon it will be further out when i get my gearbox in and new mags on. The first guy told me $80, which i thought was cool. the second guy quoted me $600, which completely confused the f@$k out of me. Now i'm more confused that what i was when I started.

Well i'm happy to this day i haven't hit a car in a parking lot. When dring with my sister i still have to reverse park for her. She's hit many cars in parking lots.

I think 100hrs is bull. Does that mean you need 100hrs with an actual driving school?? Cause back when i learned to drive i learnt thru my parents. They both happened to be driving school instructors bur i didn't go thru a driving school or pay. Could you imagine how much 100hrs would set you back?? Say a driving lesson costs $40-$50 for an hour. (I donno what the prices are now a days) That would end up costing you $4,000-$5,000. Thats rediculous. Who can afford that. End Rant

This is what I found out:~:~:~ *Coupes came out with shelves under the dash. *Air conditioning was an optional extra *5 Speed gearbox is available *KE70 handbrake storage box fits over(Yes you guessed it) Handbrake. *KE70 boot release can be modified ot fit a KE30 *KE50's have a tacho that can sit inplace of the temp/fuel guage *Early Celica's hace a small temp/fuel guage that can be put inplace of the (USELESS) clock. *Trip meter speedo (if found) can be fitted. (only goes up to 99,999)

Can this guy calabrate speedos too?? I have a feeling mine is out like 10. I'm about to drop in a 5 speed and maybe a differant diff. So where in Brisneyland is this guy??

i kept getting really low times in the first one and second one but when it came to the third and fourth, i kept hitting the cars. In one case i gunned it for the dog. GRRR
