  1. You may not yet... Stu was being quite literal, I cooked it today... Will see how she goes over the next couple of days. Stay tuned!
  2. Mills is on the ball! I bet they can't get it started, I found out why it's hard to start too, the ignition barrels on it's way out, sometimes it's good sometimes it's not. Sometimes my fuel guage works sometimes it doesn't! Hopefully they go ok and it's not running like to big a bag of shit! Stu, drags will be good but not til I get it tuned properly. It's running a bit lean up top as it heats up when cruising at 100+ k's. Will sort that out soon. And it's too rich down low. Found more cracks in the manifold and inlet from the blower to manifold so I'm not having much luck! all can be fixed though. I might even move the blower to the other side and make a crossover pipe to a stock manifold yet. We will see. JP
  3. Nah, it's still slow! It's certainly not a monster of a car, just has bucket loads of low down torque. It's still not running right so that will sort things out. Mind you, it's still quite happy hazing the Tyres into second in the dry. I will get some good videos when I hit the 1/4 or 1/8th, that's the best place for it.
  4. Something like this Josh... Note the drink cooler :) JP
  5. What's more fun (*caugh* stupidly fun) than a ke1x corolla in the wet on the way to work? A Blown 5k powered ke1x corolla! First drive in the rain was a wild one, ended up leaving the line in second to try and tame the wheel spin and short shifting into 3rd to keep it straight... I broke my thermo fan switch that's next to the blower on off switch, if I turn the blower off it moves the fan switch and turns it off! Not a good combo in traffic! Will be fixing it before work for a more sedate drive home :) JP
  6. He could have driven it home on sunday... Or this Sunday coming...
  7. Jimi, your right about the bigger carpark but it shouldn't be an issue. We've met in that carpark for the last couple of years without any issues, you have to remember we're meeting nice and early on a Saturday morning. It also makes it far easier to get fuel and something to eat without having to break the group up to do a fuel stop etc. Jaygore, I will give you another call after I finish work to organise the pickup, I'm not sure when I'm coming home so I will just make it when your going to be there! I'm almost finished sorting the car, just have my rust repairs to finish, a wheel alignment tomorrow and some tuning. Easy. JP
  8. Make a trip to bacchus marsh, I have one out of a running car that was not overheating, it should do you for now. Yours for a six pack of Jimmy. It is however missing the overflow tube off the filler neck but a radiator shop could easily fix it. Get it cleaned out if you can but it should be ok. I was planning on running it but the bottom hose is on the wrong angle for me. I knock off work at 4:30-5 so give me a call if you want it. Jarrad
  9. Good work on the map. I think there's a crappy version in the info email. We will be meeting up in the carpark to the left of maccas on the screen shot. Nice big carpark with plenty of room for 30 cars. Oh, should also say we have 36-38 people for the cruise now :) JP
  10. Great idea Roosa, it hasn't been mentioned as yet. Our main meet time is 8am with a 9am departure time. If we leave later than this we will not make it to warnambool in decent time to get some lunch and meet the SA crew. We will be making a stop at camperdown as per usual. Remember all... Saturday the 29th at waurn ponds apco service station/mcdonalds. Take the Geelong bypass to the end at waurn ponds and hang a left, tis just down the road. 9am departure time! Call me on 0400843198 for any more info or if you have any problems/questions. Jarrad
  11. Negative on the brakes, it stops well enough to lock the fronts at the moment. Will be done though to see what difference it makes. I think it's just the fact that the small master is trying to fill the much bigger ke70 brakes so it has to shift more fluid out. The galant master upgrade will sort it out. Rust it all cut out today along with a muffler change. Also the front guard has been painted, complete with overspray that needs to be buffed off... Had paint mixed up but it's not quite the right colour. But it's white! Will do until I spray the whole car. Needs another coat tomorrow when I finish the boot then I can spray the sills black again after the rust repairs. Coming along! Pix soon. JP
  12. Sounds like a "normal" GOR trip, this year is an interesting one as it's only one night, usually at least two, last and next year were 3nights :) Under expression of interest in the Vic section shornsheep has thrown a little info up about the trip. With such little interest here not much more has been thrown up but more will come for sure. It may be a good way to help out some flood affected towns if we spend some money there. JP
  13. If you take a look there is another expression of interest with very little of it being organised by the Tcca with an open invite to us. Will be a great trip. And being a little later, April may, it will be cheap and not quite as wet as it is now! Always happy for another event, not trying to shut you down evan, just making sura everyone knows that another ones being organized. Cheers. JP
  14. Keep your pants on Stu! It's all happening, rust repairs today and tomorrow and paining the boot and guard. Just a couple of little things too sort after then and it's all good. Then I have to tune the bastard! I think it needs less fuel down low but more up top. Will hopefully be borrowing a sniffer through the week to get it reasonable. I'm still using less fuel than the kickn5k blown injected beast though! But I still used about 16l foraround 100km. JP
  15. I hope no one turned up to the first meet point thismorning! I know some people made a rather large effort to get ready for the cruise but forgot to check the dates! JP
  16. Sweet shit! I gave the ke10 a major service... Oil, filter, oil pump, all gaskets, ahhhhhh... 5k, blower, extractors, 5 speed..... Maybe it's more of a rebuild! Almost club reg'd, been driving the wheels off it to see what falls off before the trip. Can't wait. JP
  17. That's not good news, I was waitingto see what came of this but nothing so far? SLO, how the plans comin along? This was set to be the biggest SA turnout yet with 6 of you! Hopefully you can all still make it, one week to go... Although some people thought it was this weekend! JP
  18. Just down the road, might have to have a lookie and see if they have anything else!
  19. Couldn't get hold of him, I think it's a problem on my end... Bloody phone. But I did get hold of Cliff, a little closer to home. Will see what I still need to do tonight. JP
  20. Jeez I'm a dill, forgot about the front apron again! Will sort it out asap. Jarrad
  21. Yep, I made it to work with minimal fuss... Needs a bloody wheel alignment though! And a tune! Was up lateish but I had to be up early to make sure I got to work. Will be a big weekend finishing the car off for final inspection! It actually drives well, need to stiffen the rear up a bit and the tune will help on off throttle transition. Then a bigger exhaust and more fuel up to as well. JP
  22. Just had a quick look with one of the guys from the front counter.
  23. Grannies can go down to if they want to :P
  24. Nice pickup with the coupe! Dropped in today as I saw the beast at the workshop, seems it lives there without you from what in told! Tis looking the goods, still can't believe the size of that blower, it's half the size of mine! I had a thought, what are you doing ignition wise? Have you left it stock? At the very least you should back it right off to avoid killing it, I'm running a locked (no mechanical advance) 5k lecy dissy set at 20deg. I will be experimenting with my vac advance and less bade timing soon too, easier to start and good cruise economy but not enough timing to do damage under boost. And how much boost are you making? Will catch up with you one day! Jarrad
