  1. Thanks for the offer Josh, sadly it's the complete opposite of what I need! Pretty sure I have the shaft covered now, won't be sorting much more out until I get back from holidays/Christmas. Then it's drive time :) Jarrad
  2. Depends how they do it. Once you throw I. A set of springs, re set the rear leaves (provided they aren't just resetting the front springs and throwing blocks in the rear) then add labor costs it's about what I would expect to pay to have someone lower a car.
  3. This will be fun... I hate front drivers but my tincan was one of the most fun cars to drive that I have owned! Can't wait to overtake you on the back straight of winton :P JP
  4. Cheers Matt, as Stu said, she's still smokeyer than an 80's magna so the tune needs some help! I haven't really touched it this week due to house reno commitments but will have a crack later today. It's still not drivable as I need the tailshaft and accelerator cable, after Christmas for that! Frasian, sadly it's going to be lifted in the nose about an inch. It's currently sitting on bump stops! I will be doing the later stut top conversion to get it down a bit but then it will come back up with decent springs. Some time next I will be sorting out some adjustable strut tops and coilovers for it and will have the struts shortened about 2 inches. That should get it back down to where it is now and give me some travel. Then the rear can come down as well. JP
  5. A couple of updated yet crappy pics! JP
  6. Haven't been through them personally but from mates experienced they are very good, not cheap and very trustworthy. In short, they know there shit. JP
  7. Sounds like it will be another fun setup. Good to see more forced K goodness! I'm a little worried about your intake path to the blower from the carb, any particular reason why it goes down so far before coming back up to to blower inlet? Low speed driving/lowair speed situations will probably cause fuel puddling down the bottom of the bend making for some interesting tuning issues! Looking forward to seeing this up and running! JP
  8. Cutoff is here! If you haven't got an entry form back to us or a deposit to me you need to call me on 0400843198 asap or you will not recieve a shirt or goodies bag and most likely you will miss out on a spot in gor5! If you have been emailed a form and not sent it back please get to it, I can think of a few off the top of my head *caugh* evan *caugh* :P Or let me know if you can't make it for that matter. Either way we need to know! We need to know shirt sizes tonight or you get a medium! Call 0400843198 tonight! Jarrad
  9. Luke! What's going on chief? Cut offs today but give me a call on 0400843198 if your still keen. That goes for anyone really! Needs to be gone asap! If I don't hear back from people this weekend t shirts will not be available to you and I'm giving a weeks grace to get entry forms and deposits in. Cheers. Jarrad
  10. Good stuff! I have a small backlog of PM's! I will get back to you all asap. Otherwise please call ms after hours (4:30) on 0400843198. Much easier to sort out. JP
  11. I have greenmac, lukeae71 and fusion on the list... But only fusion has given me the time of day :) Looking to be the most populated event yet! More from SA and we've got more from QLD as well. Should be over 30 all up if people get back to me. Can't wait! JP
  12. Philbey, it all bolts up fine but you have to drill the mounting holes yourself. Being an alloy rad it should really be rubber mounted/isolated to prevent it from dying in the arse in a hurry! The only reason I'm not running it is the blower, I want more than 2mm clearance from the pulley! Pm dfunkt about said radiator, it was on loan from him to test fitment.
  13. I'm early as per usual... Well, to these meets anyway! See you all when you get here!

  15. I wouldn't go bigger than a 14 on an earlie girl, getting rubber under them on a 15 becomes an issue! It can be done however, it all depends on what you like I guess. You can get wheels welded and redrilled to 110 pattern, that's your best solution for steelies above 13 inch. If you can handle 13's hit your early mazdas. 15's, you would have to get some Nissan chaser style wheels redrilled I guess, really any wheels regardless of pattern can be re drilled provided the centre bore size works for you. JP
  16. Just a reminder we need deposits by the 17th of December! Get onto it! No deposit, no trip! And it will be a very intimate trip with only 7 of us that have payed up! Jarrad
  17. Thanks again. Rollaclub'd that problem on the head :D Will order a set of unis at lunch and get into it tonight. Pretty sure I can get hold of a jap tailshaft without any problems. The unis should hold up against the torque but I'm not sure the axles will... Lucky I have a spare diff! Thanks again. Jarrad
  18. If your getting backfires through the carb re set your timing making sure the dizzy is not 180deg out. I did the same thing over the weekend, very easy to do. Spun it round 180 and fired straight up. If this doesn't fix it then look into something darker and more upsetting! JP
  19. That's the info I was hoping to hear. Thanks Felix. I'm pretty sure it would be a jap diff being a ke10, I have a ke11 here as well with the same diff in it. How do I tell the difference? I'm guessing a jap diffed ke2x tailshaft will work the same as the 3x trick? I can get one quick smart if this is the case. Then it's hook up the accelerator cable and tailshaft and do some road tuning. JP
  20. Hi all. Just about to finish bolting a ke70 5 speed into my ke10. Everythinge worked well do far, love the shifter position and can wait to take the blown 5k for a spin... Until I tried my taishaft. The output on the box is much bigger than the orig 1x 4speed setup so now I'm stuck. What have other people managed to come up with? Was hoping to have it ready to drive this weekend but without a tailshaft it's a no go! Cheers. Jarrad
  21. Thanks parrot, it like great in the pics but isn't quite as tidy up close, still pretty reasonable though. Micko, the ally rad is just too tall. It would fit well if I could run it where it's supposed to be but spacing it forward makes it sit higher. I even have to space the factory one 20mm to give the blower drive clearance. I might grab the ally one again and make sure, I can't run a STD radiator support with it And will have to run bonnet pins. Will see how I go. On a good note, I finally fired it up tonight. Need to adjust the timing among many other things but it's alive and in dire need of a tune and an exhaust! Gave it a rev and scored 4psi out of it already which was suprising. Once I sort a few more things out I will get it out of the garage for a trip down the street. Will be putting panels back on shortly as well, need it looking like a car again! JP
  22. Jimi, that's dfunkt's crown... Will be great to get these two together for a photo! Goodluck with reg! JP
  23. Cheers Micko... I'm going for a race car/Road car theme with and keeping it all black, white, alloy and charcoal. Will have plenty to do even after its road going, I'm not going to get everything I want done before gor but will get it to a decent stage! Still have the front sway bar and strut top conversion to do, will need to have some springs made up for the front as well. can't wait to hit the gas for the first time with that blower!
  24. And a couple more from before I painted the bay... Sadly I wont be using the alloy radiator anymore, it doesnt clear the blower! If I can I will post up a vid of it running when I fire it up. JP
