  1. And don't expect a great job with them either, take it real easy and you should get an acceptable result.
  2. Well that explains alot :D Evan, was that 6or7 cars coming to the kings non existent lake cruise? Or GOR? If we have that many more people turn up were going to be in for a big 30plus car weekend!
  3. Not sure about the light evan. ??? Dunno! Would be great if someone could check it out next time they hit that wreckers, my bet is the steering box is gone if it's power steer, if it's not please let us know or pull it out for us! Always something in it for you :P Cheers, Jarrad
  4. Due to lack of time, not lack of interest I won't be making this trip. Should be great driving though... Plus, the sexcel still hasn't recovered :P Won't be long and the Rolla will be hitting a cruise near you... With some suprised in store :D Looking forward to the pictures. JP
  5. Your not selling it because my cars faster than yours are you? (we shall not speak of what I drive :P ). Seriously though, a big shame to hear your selling it. Brilliant car and you've only made it better chops this means the 7k beast will be even better! JP
  6. But fark me it drives like shit compared to anything else you can buy off the showroom floor with that amount of power. So let's get back on topic and get over it yeah?
  7. Dates for the cruise are the weekend after Australia day 2011, sat 29th and sun 30th of Jan. As per usual it's a big cruise, expect to clock up about 1000km for the Vic crew and more for the SA cruisers! Flying doesn't count :fuzz: JP
  8. No mrs nobbler on the trip, that would have been dfunkt and Katie in the crown  I was the one in the excel that made you shit yourself when I popped the clutch beside you in frankston
  9. aahhhhhh.... yeah..... 11......
  10. Cheers Cam, bit of a drive for a wrecker run for you! Hoping to find out earlier than that but matem if Saturdays it then we will still be pretty happy. Planning on doing to steering conversion to the chev next week if theres a box in it. If theres not it will be an HG box for it instead. And Minty, cheers for the update on the car. Hopefully it hasnt been molested to much but we will see how we go! Just hope its power steer!
  11. Deano, your a funny man  The sexcel is fully sick  beats walking! Bloody great run matty, did a great job organising the cruise. Biggest run I have been on with rc. Brilliant. Great to meet plenty of people that I didn't know on here as well. Just need my 10 on the road now! JP
  12. Hi all, Thought I should throw some more info up on this request! Deano's chasing a datsun 260-280c power steering box and there's a datto in pick a part. Were hoping someone could help us out this week and have a look at the car to see if it's a power steer far and if the box is still there. If so we will come get it ( unless you can pull it out for some coin or cans). Any help would be very much appreciated b JP
  13. Glad your happy with them! That's what counts isn't it?! JP
  14. Jaygore, blowing through webers can be done and done well but is a tedious exercise. I can't really think of anyone doing that in aus, maybe a on alfa specialist. As for supercharging a 5k, there are a few ways to do it. Mainly it comes down to an efi or carbie choice. Blown 5k's ate real torque monsters and plenty of fun. Kickn5k has a blown injected intercooler setup with a custom blower cam in his ke11, it makes just shy of 100kw at the wheels and sounds like a 20b crossed with a NASCAR. It's loads of fun and easy to go back to stock if ever needed. Mind you, don't say no yo turbos, far more scope for improvement down the track if you feel the need and similar to setup etc. JP
  15. Oh dear.. No good!
  16. Tidy 26 you have there. Seems you need some late rear axles to change the rear stud pattern over! Then yo keep the look some r31 steelies would look good. Didn't think I would like the intercepter style wheels on a Rolla bit it looks good. As for the Q, very nice. No need to be in the closet about that!
  17. Well that's upsettingly tidy!
  18. Update time. Got stuck into the brakes over the last few weekends... My how it sucks working outside in the weather... Within he month the shed will be up, can't bloody wait! Anyway, brakes. I used ke 26 hubs as I had some (cheers Tate), ke55 backing plates and dust covers, ke70 disks, calipers and rubber lines all sitting on new ke10 wheel bearings. All bolted up fine after I drilled and taped the stub to 10mm bolts, some people use the factory 8mm bolts but it just didn't sit right with me. So now I can move the car again :D The drums were almost seized solid, wasn't fun getting it in the yard! Will be either making complete new hard lines to the brake hoses from the galant master cylinder or as suggested by a mate in the brake game I could run a braided line joiner to run to the original lines. Will see what I come up with. :) From this. to this... better make sure the wheels still fit!!!! While I had the nose in the air I thought I should start doing something about the tide height... Even if it doesn't have an engine and box in it :) I pulled the transverse leaf out as I had planned, I will be converting to 26 strut tops and have springs made to suit once the engine etc is back in... For now I'm happy with the height the stock ball point pen springs are giving me! Even if it's only 40ish mm off the bump stops... Which is actually the springs binding! The new tops and springs will stop this problem of course. I like where it sits now, gives me a little room to play with :D Ordered my gasket kit for the 5k as well, engine should be sorted soon. Just need to finish off the bits for the solid cam conversion. Can't wait ;) JP
  19. Lots of new local members that haven't had a hello yet... So... Hello! It's great to see so many more people interested in rollas in Victoria, hopefully we can get you all to an event sometime! Jarrad
  20. Jeez... Your cutting it as I am! At least my engines out! I'm not sure what you have left to do (Gze conversion yeah?) but I have panel work and paint, put the 5k together and sort the delloroto's out, exhaust, manual conversion, rebuild rear brakes (just finished the front), polish my wheels and put tyres on then sort out the suspension! DAMN! It WILL be there
  21. Sooooooo........??????? Jump on them yet????
  22. Ricky has put it well... I think  Dfunkt will be a happy man to see another 65 on here, it looks pretty clean. Might have to get some happy snaps together. Welcome to the club  JP
  23. I saw this one on eBay, I would have snapped it up but I bought the other ke10 in Geelong instead! A little closer yo home! Your car has previously been setup for a rotary, great news as they enlarged the gearbox tunnel to suit. Will make things much easier down the track. Will be keeping an eye on this one. Great catch. Jarrad
  24. Just keeping you on your toes :laff:
  25. Where's the spoon fed icon when you need it??? :laff:
