  1. Grouse! That's sure to pucker your rear! I will keep an eye out for this over the goanna run weekend, I'm cruising back home in my wagon for it. Say G'day if you see the val cruisin round! Jarrad
  2. Matty... I have to say I like that look better than the 16's! Should be another great turnout... Must be because you all know I won't be there :P Don't forget your cameras! JP
  3. Don't go thinking a 7k will bolt straight in, it will only end in tears! You need to modify the sump, engine mounts and decide efi or carbs, the STD k box's all bolt up but you won't have them in one piece for long :D Talk to some local racers in your area, most are willing to help and will know what works with leaf rears and the like. They can be made to handle very well for minimal coin, especially in such a little car. A really good set of shocks and sway bars should be on your list, they will help no end. Don't forget Tyres too! Make it go round corners and stop and you will have a ball, then get into the grunt side of things. JP
  4. But it still looks best in my ke10! Will get the 5k back together next month and have it back in the car, detail the blower setup and bolt it on. Then I can get to painting the rest of the car. Got alot of work to do before the end of Jan! JP
  5. Well spotted Cameron! I can take no credit for the supercharger setup, stevejw on this forum (with the cool turbo ke15) built the entire setup and I love it, I don't usually like buying things like this as I prefer to build it myself but steve has done a brilliant proffesional job on it and I couldn't be happier. Taz, your right it does bolt onto the manifold as per peaches but it's mounted further forward on an adapter with a built in overboost/backfire valve to save making a custom snout. The manifold has also been modified to drop it lower in the bay. It all fits under a 1x bonnet line! It was making 10-15 psi on a 4k depending on the pulley user so I'm expecting about half that on my 5k. Some more quick pics. JP
  6. Yeah, a 1uz would be nice but they are just too wide to fit in the engine bay. Cam, no more woosh! Well not for a while! I now have a blown corolla to keep me boost happy so that will do for now, don't think for a minute that the wagons being neglected though, I just swapped a 4bbl manifold for a runner 318 and auto! Will be tearing it down to build a 350 horse 318 to put in sometime, that should be fun enough! JP
  7. Good to have you back Adam! I'm pretty sure I'm goingto miss this one, I have some crazy amounts of work to get done before November... Before GOR5 even! JP
  8. I like it! Swap meets are good fun and gives you a chance to check out other makes and models. I will be hitting the marsh rodders swap, it's out the front of my house so I have no excuse! The show n shine is usually pretty big for anyone wanting to come have a look, all makes are generally welcome provided the're presentable! Will be a BBQ at my place around 1-2pm as well if anyones interested. JP
  9. I like it... To the point! Will be good to see this on the road again chief, will have to go for another ride! JP
  10. He may tease but he delivers too! Looking good, always fun to check back and see what's on it this week! JP
  11. Yeah, it's going to be fun. I need to fill the other side of the engine bay now! Also have to do a later strut top conversion, is sitting as low as the front end will currently go. I thought it was coil bind but I'm pretty sure it's the struts running out of travel. Will be raising it for now then have some coilovers made up on shorter struts at some point. And the ally radiator no longer fits. Bugger. Tis about 10 mm to tall now as it has to sit so far forward, I can't even run a normal bonnet latch. Oh well! JP
  12. Update time! Things have been slow but are almost ready to get moving again. The sheds built and almost finished so I fan get to work on the rolla in there! Mind you, I haven't been doing nothing at all. The 5k is ready to be stripped down now for the gasket kit to go through it and paint it up. Once done it will be boltedto the 5 speed and slotted in. Things have changed intake wise as well, the picture should tell the story. More when I have it. JP
  13. Good luck with that! I was down that way a couple of weekends ago and saw the signs for the show, sounds like a good show in a great place. I won't be able to make it myself, I have sery weekend booked solid until mid November... And then I have to start and finish the 10 before GOR5! If people attend grab some pics! JP
  14. Might have to do that Joel, I'm flat out this month, every weekend is booked up. Accom will be sorted asap, the dates are as previously posted ( the weekend after Australia day) and were doing a one nighter, leaving the first meet point early Saturday to make the most of the time we have. Hope to see more interstaters there, Looks promising already even for a one nighter! Oh, got some more goodies for the '10, will be getting it ready for paint early November then it's assembly time once sprayed! Will be running/driving soon too. JP
  15. Yeah, 7k-15k is pretty average, it all depends on what you can do yourself and what you want the finished product to be like. My ke10 will owe me around 6-700 for a Respray, it will be straight as factory and the paint will be sweet but I'm not doing door jams or inside the boot the dash etc etc. It's only acrylic white so it's easy as pie. Doing all the bodywork/prep work is where the moneys being saved. If you have 3k to spend you will do alright, just steer clear of all the big panel shops etc. Strip the far yourself and get it to the panel shop, re assemble it yourself too. This all saves money. There's a place down the road from my work (cranwell street sunshine) that do good cheap work and there fast. But if you have rust, big dents etc don't expect a quick cheap job from anyone! Unluss you repair it beforehand. Jp
  16. And do it with me in the lane beside you! Two blown 5k ke1x rollas running together would be great to see!
  17. Very good call there Cam!
  18. Not at all, but knowing old fellas posts I'd say he's not serious, even says something like cheers for the laughs in his first post. Mind you, glueing up the head gasket works a treat, I know of some speedway guys that used to do it as they kept popping gaskets. Never had trouble after that. JP
  19. Any luck on the bike? Dirty scum taking someones pride and joy, can't stand it. I doubt I will see it this side of town but I'm still keepin my eyes peeled.
  20. The trimatics the box to use, plenty of interchangeable parts between all models. They will handle more power than any k will make. And 12psi is for pussies! :P mind you I will only run about that, if I was going turbo I would run far more. Like I said, stu (kickn5k) will be running in the region of 30psi... Or as much as he can get in before it starts making to much heat. Split bores anyone? :D The van box sounds promising, is it an overdrive box? Let us know what you find Cam. JP
  21. The setup you speak of Trev used to be a favorite with the Holden 6 crew, mechanical or efi. You can get injectors that fit intothe old spray nozzle holes so it works a treat, and there hose type so you can make it look like mechanical injection still. OldFella, you were onto it! Pretty good info there really. I instantly though they were stromie 97's, there a copy of those carbs anyway ( THE carb to have if your chasing the multi carb traditional setup), you can even buy them new again now. And as for how much of a copy looks wise they are, they even have the 97 cast into the side like the originals! JP
  22. That would have to be Stu... the nutters getting ready to throw 25+psi at a 5k to see what happens. As for the head not flowing he has someone on that for him, the amount of headwork going into making it flow is nuts. Box wise hes going auto once the manual cries enough too. Should be fun! I will be giving the quater a bashing soon too in my 10, blown 5k should go reasonably well. JP
  23. No belts in the rear of my 10, its a 68 model. Will be putting them in though, I need something to strap a baby seat in with!
  24. Cheers for that, I can understand why people prefer the mobile site, especially if there paying for there content! Would chew up your download limit pretty quickly! As per the warning I will give the new full site a crack, can't be worse that any other site I cruise around on the phone! Cheers, Jarrad
  25. Slightly different suggestion and not sure if it's the right spot for it (or if anything can be done about it) but can rc be made iPhone unfriendly??? Mght sound stupid but I barely get access to a computer there days and use my phone to get on the net, since the update it doesn't come up with the normal Rollaclub.com but a useless iphone version instead... Driving me nuts! Can't edit posts, go to my controls, have to go through each are of the forum to get to the sub forums (eg. Rollaclub to rc regional to Vic section rather than just click Vic), can't do bugger all! Otherwise rollaclubs getting better and better! Cheers, Jarrad
