  1. Soooooooo..... What's news on the run? JP
  2. That's repairable... :laff:
  3. Cheers for the heads up philbey, I was planning on buying a new one as I'm not really into skimping on brakes! I figure while I have an empty engine bay I should sort it all out properly. Doogs, your right. We will be cruising in style! Mind you, I'm pretty sure my build will be a bit quicker than yours!
  4. Got stuck into the car again on the weekend between doing other things. Got one of my wheels polished up, only three to go! Also got stuck into the disk brake upgrade. Running ke55 backing plates with ke70 disks and calipers with ke26 hubs to keep the old stud pattern. Will finish bolting it all together this week. Before and after. JP
  5. Hahahaha, I love out of context quotes!
  6. Hmmm... Did I say that? :) Well, I guess this is going to be fun then!
  7. Don't worry... I've done more on my car in two weeks than Tate has on his wagon in two years! Pete, I think I have a case of badge envy... Mmmmm..........
  8. Hmmm... Head porting you say Ted??? I'm sorted for a head for the moment, the old head off Stu's 11 will be going on my bottom end but I have a recoed head that's on the engine at the moment that I would like to get bigger valves and some porting done to. Will be getting in touch for sure! You will have to take it for a spin on GOR5 Ted :D I'm on the hunt for an early galant master cyl to sort out my brakes, then I can finish the brake lines and get it movable again... The factory drums on the front have all but siezed. Looks like I will be running ke55/70 brakes on 20 hubs to keep the early stud pattern. Will convert the strut tops to ke2x ones while I'm at it and remove the transverse spring. Need to get it low! But I suppose an engine in the bay would help there too! I have pulled the primered panels off the car now as well, seems I'm not alowed to just paint some of the car anymore :) will be doing the whole thing once my sheds up in a couple of months. Can't wait! JP
  9. This ones getting the same treatment. 5k 5 speed, dellorto's, monster cam and 10.5:1ish comp. Biggest brakes I can easily do etc. Will be fun! I'm just in love with the new wheels :P
  10. Just thought I would throw up a teaser pic :P JP
  11. Thanks for the offer either way :P
  12. Jeez... You updated before I left the meeting! :P looking forward to it. Shame we can't get big red to make it! JP
  13. Hmm... All this time I had it in my head that thus would be a red car... Being a deTomato and all... Looks the goods Adam!
  14. Adams parmas would be like his cars... Small, full of beans and the menu would change from month to month...

    ...

Coming along really nicely. Going to be a head turner for sure. And, do you have any more info on the v12 beast??? That sounds almost as nuts as your project :(
  16. Give new way wheels a call to redo wheels like that. A much better option! And there in melb.
  17. It's surely low! The photos with Whitewalls are before the 2 1/2 dropped spindles went in... And the stockies are from the weekend away where he nearly lost a wheels, he snapped 4 out of 5 wheel studs at once! No good! Good to see it up here Deano, should get some pics of the new driveline up! Or of the Ballarat drags... Where I beat you :( Nob.
  18. Oh dear... You better call Dave! Looking forward to it... I need to print out a membership form :(
  19. Would be somewhat of a highlight to meet mr Red himself :( Hopefully you can make it. Jarrad
  20. This is handy... I'm about to do a 5k solid lifter conversion... The different lengths could also be to do with the different rocker post setups. Early alloy ones vs later cast ones. JP
  21. It is time ! ( must be said in a big, deep voice :( ) I shal be there... It's probably time I sign my life away too :D See you all Tuesday night. Edit: hmm... Would seem mr organised just bet me to it :D
  22. Ahh... Another Melbourne lad! Better hope you make it to the cruise on the 8th of august! Nice van!
  23. Vic roads have cracked down on easy roadies lately. They have realised that every man and there dog can do roadies now as they have given to many licences out. When you got caught for a rwc that wasn't up to scratch you used to get a warning, it was much like a licence points system that we all know. Now, if you stuff up there's no second choice... They take it away without a worry. Recently happened to a mate of mine over a warn tyre that was supposed to be getting replaced before they went to vicroads but they didn't do it. Bugger... That would explain the harshish roady, but I still think you've done well.
  24. Woohoo, good stuff young man! :bash: Will be riding shotgun with someone else for this run or I may be in the sexcel :P Will be a great run!
