It's not all bad, I'm a car nut through and through... I'm almost as bad as stu, ask anyone about having a conversation with me! Always ends up in car talk! I wanted to be a mechanic but listened to people beforehand and decided against it, purely for the fact I love working on engines and the like and wanted to keep it that way. Went off yo uni and had some fun but got sick of it and started looking into automotive based apps and wound up workng for one of melbournes best trimmers. 5 years down the track and I'm still lloving it, workng on bloody cool cars everyday and I'm happy to go home and work on my own gear. What I'm saying is basically what everyone else is, don't do it because you love it unless your totaly consumed by it in all aspects. Find something else you like, there are plenty of other trades in the auto industry. And plenty that aren't that pay more! JP

Not sure of the exact model ( I need to hit the wreckers with a measuring tape) but a falcon rear swaybay and mounts works very well on the front of ke1x's, went to have a look at a 1x 4 door a while back and that's what it was running. Is as thick as your typical aftermarket piece and was a very good fit. Just need to take some measurements to sort it out but I'm pretty sure it would be from a xe-xf or similar. Have to get one myself. Also, if it's that model you can get cheap adjustable ones for them as well. But if you were buying a new one you may as well buy one made to suit. JP

Hi all, Just wondering if anyones going? I will be there from thursday night so keep a look out for my wagon if you venture over! It's the biggest car and bike swap in Australia so it's worth the trip, even for a look. I have room on my site so pm me or call me on 0400843198 if you wouldlike to come and stay or want to sell some gear for the weekend and need a site to do it from. Will be another ripper of a swap, my 5th year staying for the weekend. Hope to see you there. Jarrad

Was worth the trip... But let's not talk about parking... :) -
Depends on what flappers you like, the atlas ones from antique tyres look better (personal taste really), really depends on the tyre sidewall. Should come up nice, will be keeping tabs onthis. JP

Gotta love that! Comin along chief, keep it up! JP

With Colin posting this up I thought it might be the Kia Carnival event with modded people movers everywhere :y: Well, this looks like it will be a major event for the year, thanks for posting it up early... I need all the time I can get to have the 11 ready :hmm: would even use the wagon as a tow car! Maybe we could have a Rollaclub presence there? I'm sure the tccav will make a showing, this weekend sounds nuts! Especially the prospect of a street course through town! JP

Leeroy, I will be there after work for this great cause, hope to see more members. Will be in the wags, but looks as though there full so it will be outside :) you get that! See you Saturday. -
50% chance of rain tomorrow! Oh well, should be fun! Also, it seems every club around is meeting at the bp in the morning, I know for sure that the vw club and early Holden clubs are meeting about the same time as you lot... Will be a show in itself! I will be waiting for you at the gisbourne freeway entry, will just jump in with the pack as you cruise past. JP
-
How did you go chief? It's a bit far for myself but if still needed we may be able to sort something out...
-
Sweet! Can't wait! I was too busy hangin off the wheel in the wags I didn't even get pics!
-
Well here we go again! Nice work chief, will have to come visit one day and check this out in person. And you really are showing us all why you won the princess award on the GOR trip! I'm not sure if you even know you won! JP
-
You just need a rather large box of special crayons... The box is big because the kid comes with it :D you could always catch a ride in the 'goon or the crown sweet... :jamie:
-
Oh dear... What happened? Cruising the custom nats give you other ideas?
-
I like it just for the fact it's not like every other xe7x on here, the wheels completely change the look of the car. JP
-
Was a grouse weekend, all went smoothly and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! Next year will be different as aus day is mid week, will probably have our first great ocean road 2 day sprint! One night and some wild driving/cruising for all! Darren, can't forget noiseworks and crowded house on Saturday night! And just for Cam, I learnt Closing Time for next year! :jamie: Oh, I will have a corolla next year too :D Can't wait for the videos Ted! JP
-
Will have to settle for my wagon, the 11s not coming for at least 12 months! Might have to meet up with you lot along the way, looking forward to scaring some celica owners :jamie:
-
I wonder how that happened :)
-
Yep, your right. Sorry CH1KA but thems the rules. I would move it but it's not in the right for sale format either. Please post them up in the for sale section. :D

Bookings under Jarrad Saleta ... Write that down! The bloke will know me as he's jarrad as well ;) We are looking to be there around 1-1:30 depending on our rest stop. Will be keeping you informed along the trip Mick. If Tate can get the luxo barge up to speed we could be earlier... But don't get your hopes up :)

I haven't looked into it properlybut you might be able to get some late bw axles cut down and re splined to suit a 10-11 bw diff, but it wouldn't be the strongest option. I'm looking at a pintara diff so I won't kill it down the track when boost gomes along ;) JP
