  1. I agree with Dave on this one
  2. The reason I went with an SR is of course how easy it is to make power, I wont take anything away from Toyo motors that last forever and a day, just to get it to a level i was happy with a stock SR would suffice, to which i end up throwing money at it anyway, got out of hand, the alloy block is a plus I have been looking at the 3RZ motor and has proven results, so a swap could be in order
  3. To drive the car legally on the road you will need a mod plate in QLD and comes with an engineer certificate, You will be throwing alot of money at the car to get it on the road, and more to maintain it, Make sure you talk with an engineer about going about the conversion, I have 6 ADR codes on my mod plate, and you do not want to know how much it cost, and that was 5 years ago
  4. WGMG - Laptops, you type a response to a forum, then move the cursor and it clicks on a link and you loose all your text, grrrr haha
  5. If you get a half cut you don't really know know the history of the engine and box, i mean it might hold together or might let go its really hard to say, but stock in a KE70 for driting and stripped interior and setup properly i would not envision you have issues, It will be trial and error, don't quote me as I'm not up to speed in terms of drifting knowledge My 30 was an auto in its previous guise, so is larger yes and did not need the tunnel massaged, depends how you sit the motor in, i envision should clear the tunnel, others have had to give it a tap here and there, and yes the shifter does sit very close to the handbrake, you can shorten the handbrake itself or even buy a kit, mine is slightly angled yes, and when up i cannot get into reverse at the same time http://www.my105.com/listingdetails.aspx?id=5481&latest=1
  6. Yeah Rob you are right on that model, If you leave it 5 stud, you will have ford stud pattern, and get the hoppers kit up front, or wack RX7 brakes on it, they are also ford stud pattern They come out with 4.33 diff gears, you will need to shorten the diff to suit the tubbing of the car, Just go to the drags and query some of the guys who already have it done and have a good look
  7. Nice write up Brad, She will pull up a dime now, Ill have to catch up with you soon also
  8. Is this with your Nissan MC/Booster? Sounds like it if you nearly hit the windscreen, haha
  9. You can shorten the R31 diff, and generally they have 4.11 gears in them, A stock SR once in will get you about 200hp atw and will hold together, with an exedy drift/drag clutch and sidestepping will hold together fine, i don't know why you are going in search of a different box I feed alot into mine at times and never misses a beat, and has alot of power and no weight over the back, not drift of course the wheel base is far too short IMO and not my thing, haha if you set the car up properly you will not have any issues
  10. Hmm never knew Third gear would be the weakpoint in the box, seems to be the money gear, haha OT: Stock SR with a GT28RS, computer, injectors will pump close 300hp atw, and if your not silly I would imagine the box would be ok for a while with drifting, i can't comment for the other gearboxes tho, but not known many people to swap it out for something else Ben i would have thought a tremec would be ideal to some degree?
  11. I can understand Dave, oh and typical Gen Y also, haha When I was HR in Alice Springs, i see cases like this all the time, of course there are measures etc, but I would have them hang out with me and my family for the short time, and then they have to go back to the safe house, was sad as the child just wants to live, The system is tricky with massive shades of grey, *sigh
  12. Unless there is a back log in the adjudication process, should not take as long as it has, I can't comment on WA tho, in QLD, the TIN would pulled out of the mailing stack, and passed onto a supervisor where they attach a letter with the ticket and is log into a spreadsheet (stats of course), and sent out seperately
  13. WGMG - Cab drivers fron different areas, I know GPS helps but there are quicker ways to get to your destination, all you have to do is ask for help
  14. Pub Lunch!!!
  15. I should also mention Brad, that my pedal pressure is soft, I really need to push on it to stop the car, in saying that tho, the car does stop on a dime not a worry, Its not quite prosche performance, but I'm not gonna end up in a ditch anytime soon either
  16. Hell yeah, The Tongans played well tho, just their back line was shonky in attack and defence, not enough Taro boys,
  17. Ka Pai te Kare
  18. NT Family car, haha
  19. I got the receipt from all jap (somewhere) noting that it is the 180SX booster/master, I don't envision there would be much difference between the firewalls other than bolt locations Ill have to get down there and have a look and show you mine, I have all three Nissan pedals under mine, but the bore size might be different, perhaps source a VH4X booster
  20. Yeah and them also Ben, gee have to correct me, haha WGMG - Non twist top beers, grrr feed me my beer, need the egg flip ow'
  21. Yes they do them in smaller widths its just the offset that is the tricky part so with the coilver setup hoping to find a front set that will fit, and the 9's up back would be nice for traction At least you can give the car a good squirt now
  22. WGMG - Reaserchers and Studiest have findings for everything and how they have a bias effect on everything, Whats next, an itchy ass is know for a person who eats cereal for breakfast, bah!!
  23. I like to watch....
  24. Cheers mate look good, hmmm decisions, and you have the backin plate, haha nice I was thinkin of getting the Rota RBX Rims in Bronze, polished outer for mine, think it could be a winner there
