  4. Inspired me as similar setup to mine, and i am about 200kgs lighter, but silly shortwheel base Keep up the progress tho, I'm surprised you have not sidestepped the cutch just for kicks yet, haha
  5. bahaha, Why wont you let me live.....
  6. Thought about it, the cage is the same colour as the car, I know roadworthy, in case of collision head is protected (to some degree) with the assistance of the padding, you'd think with harnesses and fixed seats i would not get that far, and the car runs along very neatly around the head zone, why, to make it look stealth, you would be surprised how subtle it looks, but right next to it, nah and it has nice material with velco wrapped around it, instead of the zip tie look
  7. Hey hey Ben, nice read mate, and wow alot of history, Reading this has inspired me, my Rolla would be ideal for you to throw around the track
  8. WMMH - The smell of burning E85 with Berry Fragrance Methanol based protection fluid, Just not corrosion when it sits for 24 hours tho, hmmm :hmm:
  9. hey hey, progress, looks good mate
  10. fair enough, would have thought it would have been more easier for the pipes and pressure drop (if any) Still nice work mate :y:
  11. Looks good mate, Nice big GT turbo hanging off there *edit, flip that cooler so you don't have to cut up too much
  12. haha cage over the top, never haha always good to get it done right the first time Taxi bar i don't know, guess always been a fan of the diaginal bar, mine is simple tho
  13. Andy you going to the boot / parcel shelf or wheel wells, In terms of racing I'm not a fan of the taxi bar, have one down as low just above the trans tunnel sp you can hook your harnesses to, and yeah X brace behind the seats that cage is like FIA spec, something id like in a Mk1 Cortina If you keep it as close to the A pillar you can weld it to dicrectly, but id you need to have plates to brace to the A and B pillars Lot of work ahead of you
  14. edit
  15. i had a look at it, I'm thinkin of mini tubbin the car and cruise it haha I'm gettin really annoyed with the paddin on the a pillar as its a massive blind spot when comin into a round about
  16. I get a hard time for the engine thats in my car from Toyo enthusiasts Otherwise people don't generally ask anything more about it
  17. Look to slip it down there in the future, and have it boxed in so you don't get dirt from the wheel
  18. Yeah I had a read of the schedule, padding is advised unless its FIA class, and a full wrap around race seat where the healmet or body would not come in contact with cage, I don't know if ill be able to get a log book as the place that built mine is no longer there, i have the receipt still Yeah i cut the side bars out, and could still use clamps, i could still have her registered today i reckon
  19. Looks good mate, weather don't look to goos where you are Always handy to have the log books, I have mine also, history of the car always has a story with it
  20. I was there crispy in the EVO, oh and went for a drive in one of those commodores, all i can tell you is that my stomach started going back to my spine, unreal
  21. looks good mate, if you had a MAP sensor could have had the pod running down and under pickin up fresh air
  22. More like inspiration, it starts with an idea
  23. If you go a pod filter you can hide it, Had no probs with inspection, easy to setup even have ducting to the paper filter??
  24. Lookin good Scott, very clean
  25. WMMH - Positive news on the Daniel Morcombe case, Id rather have answers than wonder, why all my life?? I'm not a parent but not one thing I would NOT want to endure and I'm strong minded also
