Check to see if the thermo switch is still connected, Its the green plug on the thermostat housing.

Is this an auto or manual? The automatic timing should be set to 0 BTDC and the manual 5 or 10 (can't remember) BTDC.

Ha nah man there was no issue, I have always said to my mate to make his rx2 into a sleeper but its a bit hard with a 13bpp, I have always wanted to see someone do something as creative as what you have done with it, Have you got any running vids?

Yes but with all the people convertion to big singles its sometimes more appropriate to do so.

Have you got the timing light direction going the right way, I have seen it reversed and believe me it puts you off.

I have to think now as the engine layout is different, It is the rear most intercooler pipe connector, The car still made boost but it wasnt alot, It also had a rough run every now and then but before you do that check to see if your engine belts are tight.

You can use castrol vmx80 in the charger, Make sure the inlet hoses arent split, The mr2 i drive had a bad power issue, Found a split hose.

Just thought I would add, I guy I know (met through a mate at work) has an MA70 with a 1JZGE in it but he bolted on a turbo and runs the standard ecu with 13psi, He managed a ET of 12.90 last week, Not phuckin shabby at all.
