No worries, I was told by someone that the numbers run in series and there is no same numbers.

Hey guys, I have been muckin around with my weber's lately as I'm trying to get the van going asap and i have noticed that both carbies have the same numbers, I always thought that they numbers went in series, This is what both carbies have on the top plates: WEBER CARBURATORI MADE IN SPAIN TIPO 40DOCE 151 No 276 4 I take it that this means they are a matching set as there is no other number, No flamage either.

Yeah you could of but i thought id stir you up for getting be outta bed so early. Today was more cleaning and if this 4AG leaks oil i will be pissed off, I removed the guards and cleaned under them, I now have most of the engine bay scrubbed just gotta do the battery holder section, While I'm at it I'm going to get another stonetray and bonnet support as they are very twisted, Oh and AE82 guards don't fit :hmm: Heres some pics... This is a before shot of the engine bay: Once i finish cleaning the rest i will get some really good degreaser and give it a good soak.

A little more of an update, Did a bit of general cleaning today around the body (such as removing excess bog....DES :hmm:), There was a bogged rust spot on the wiper cowl and i expected it to be a big rust spot so i removed it and there was nothing under it and the rust was only in the cowl and was quite small, I gave the windscreen a good clean and there is no rust surrounding it, I also removed the bog from the back of the roof, I will be taking the front apart tomorrow to clean it all up properly, Here is a pic:

Early liteace is 4k and is the one that has the thicker sidewalls.

It looks like a series 1 AE82 front bar with the top vents (between the indicators) moved down and just had an extension with a numberplate mount moulded in but there is something different overall.

Not really, The single cams have no strut brace mounts and have to be bolted on, I have found that toyota were really model specific, Take an old commonwhore for example, If you wanted to do a manual swap in it goes, On a AE71 you have to drill the firewall to mount the clutch master, I jumped under Slims car ages ago and i don't recall seeing any thread but i didnt have a long look.

And i don't think toyota would like the image that they are catering for younger drivers to wrap themselves around a pole.

1. Valve stem seals or rings. 2. Could be a few things but firstly if its blowing smoke check your plugs cause they are probably fouled up bad. 3. Rear crank seal sounds like it is stuffed.

Hey guys i just wanna know what this front bar is, I thought it was the early MR2 at first and then i realised it looked like my old exa front but neither are the same, Its also different to a AE82 front bar:

Another corolla for the yard, This time its a KE55 that dad picked up from the people a few houses up from me, Odometer reads 212xxxkm's and the engine is heaps healthy (gravity fed it), It even has 8mm leads, Other than a few rust spots, A few interior probs and a stuffed fuel pump its very clean, They have to be the straightest and cleanest bumpers i have seen in person. That makes it for 6 corollas in the yard and 8 cars in total, Still got shit loads of parking space :)

My roof lining and a few and the rear side panels werent the best so out they come: I'm going to get in the back with a grinder and get rid of all the mounting tabs and then clean it all up so i can paint the full inside black, It will still have the full dash, console and carpet.
