So it is a CS, CS-X, Spirit? :P
It has/had 13" stockies and a vinyl hood lining.
I actually emailed the dealer that the car was purchased from but they said to go to toyota aus as it dates back too far.
I did it in the 70 van, pull it all the way forward and push at the base (closest to steering column) with one hand and pull on the end with the other hand (tip).
Make sense?
So I got my 71 on the weekend and as soon as I seen it I immediately thought 'spirit' as it has several spirit features (interior, wing and grille) but it is badged as a CS-X. Now I can remember something from my old ae71 sales brochure that said that the spirit was basically a stickered CS-X.
Basic run down:
2 tone seats.
Colour coded grille.
Spirit wing
And all the other cs-x options (except boot/fuel release).
passenger vanity mirror.
internally adjusted side mirrors.
Tacho dash.
Console compartment.
retracting rear belts.
Front door pockets.
Now I don't really care if it's a cs-x or if it's a spirit as it isn't going to change anything but I am just curious as to what it is, CS-X fitted from factory with spirit stuff perhaps.
Still costs you a minimum of 1100 bucks to put twin webers on a 4ag, my 45's were 800 but I did a part trade with some 40's I had, then you have the manifold, filters, fuel pump and ignition system which I went with the hyperpak.
