What I normally do is pull one hose off the dizzy and the other off the vacuum pipe and loop the vacuum pipes together, if you let it suck air in it will idle up.

Did you set the timing with the vac advance disconnected, try some shell v-power in it and yes freedom does have ethanol in it's premiums but not sure if it is all servos.

The VG30 is a very good engine, very underestimated. Matt, most auto shops carry falcon power steer hoses as the swivel ones love to leak, this is the main problem for pump failure.

Twincam conversion, 4ac dash is white/blue, 4age dash is orange/red, want it to be as much as possible a twincam sedan so I want to use the orange/red dash.

You are a dumbass, that is why you remove the tacho and clock and insert them into the original dash, it is what I did with the AE71 to retain it's 16****k's.

When I finally get around to putting the twincam in the corolla I am also wanting to put the twincam speedo in this one (unlike the last conversion) as it is a red display, now I want to know the legalities of adjusting the odometer on the replacement dash to suit my cars body k's, does anyone know if this is legal as all I can find is speedo tampering is illegal but does that just refer to winding back a speedo to sell a car?

Make an inline dry ice & water holder from the fan so all you have to do is full up the holder and the inner core will supply the cold to cool the air, just don't put dry ice in your ducts as you may get co2 poisoning.
