  1. Mine blocked the virus but it won't let me back to the site :laff:
  2. Ha. OT: when I was younger I used to go and do laps of Ippy and there used to be this fat heffa that drove a Daewoo (well something along those lines) with a 'HONK FOR HEADIES' sticker on the back window, one night I seen the car and looked over and seen a guy driving it so me and my mate drove beside him on the horn, dude just kept looking straight and drove on through.
  3. A car is as reliable as you make it, skimp out on servicing and looking after it and you may run into trouble, I have had a few 4age's with over 300,000k's on the clock and and they still got driven hard.
  4. Since this is the mrs car I suggest you get the following sticker: "you beat me and I will get my tits out" :laff:
  5. That I can vouch for, cousin has a Cruze CDX and it states to use only E10, he thought he would put 98 in it one week to see if it does any better in the fuel economy, he ended up getting almost 200k's less to the tank, if you were to retune the ecu's timing then it would run on 98 but at what advantage. I have looked into running premium ethanol again but (old seca used to love v-power racing) but they state not to run ethanol contiuously in a car that was not designed for it as it will perish rubber, this may not be true but I would rather not find out the hard way. The apparent reason that ethanol was ruled out over here a while back was because they were introducing too much into the fuel, they have now found a safe level.
  6. Have you checked to see what fuel the car you are getting is meant to run on (where ever it is coming from), being an import I would guess that it isn't a new car so it will most likely need to be run on premium over here.
  7. Welcome, love the paint scheme on the rolla, reminds me of an SLR.
  8. double post.
  9. The only advantage that ethanol has over standard fuels is that less crude oil is needed in its production but then the downside is that you need to use a shit load of corn just to make a small amount.

Nothing wrong with the M series engines, head gaskets are a factory fault which you can fix completely by changing the head gasket, cleaning/skimming the surfaces, buying new head bolts and actually tensioning them properly. I dare say that people will get sick of seeing a J series in crowns & cressidas soon, keep it authentic, go with the M series :y:
  11. Not true, even EFI is limited to the use of E10. I only ever use 98 or a minimum of 95 so unless they remove this then I am not worried.
  12. Yes, check the timing.
  13. Nah, no spares, that one will need to be modified.
  14. Not having much luck with it.
  15. I am getting my old bigport GZE back and I should have a FWD turbo manifold next week, plan to drive the 4ac for a while and do the GTE conversion in one go. Still have not got the sedan regd as yet either.
  16. Nice little hatch, a good improvement over the old 2ac as well.
  17. No.
  18. I also had one similar but gave every model code for the model, lost it in the flood.
  19. The LS2 + stroked VZ ute at work has the biggest cam available from crow, it does sweet f@$k all under 4500rpm but still makes 450 - 500hp at the wheels, if you were to get the same car, same engine but put a smaller cam in it and 2 relatively small turbo's (gt28rs etc) and it was tuned to the same power output then I reckon the TT would walk all over the N/A the the power curve would be lower. Just comes down to the engine set up.
  20. I know you shouldn't, that is what I said. Bolded part, it pays ton read a thread before you comment.
  21. Can you get some pics? I would say that you may have to hook the Facet up to ignition power so you can prime the system before the car starts but even then it should be supplying enough fuel to fill the tank.
  22. Have you got the lowest point of the surge tank feeding into the bosch pump, the facet feed above that and the return to the tank above that? Is the return from the engine bay going back to the surge tank or to the fuel tank?
  23. Bah, I make mistakes too, I just love the way you do your write ups, always funny, was going to say that if you didn't sort it out by this weekend then I could probably come up with the vacuum pump but good to see it is sorted.
  24. Car? Engine? What fuel pump set up are you running, do you have a pick up pump and a high pressure pump? The fuel pump will be set up to turn on with oil pressure as a safety device.
  25. LOL, you dumbass, btw, they are wheel cylinders, not slaves :P
