    Almost every paint job from the 80's is crap. A leaky water pump happens on any car, it is the sign of a failed pump seal.

    Hey, I need to get some measurements for a turbo since I am going to get an aluminium radiator so I am hoping that someone in SEQ has an 82 with the radiator and exhaust removed, I would use the mrs car but it has a bloody 1 piece exhaust.

    You are better off disconnecting the signal wire from the dizzy to the coil (negative) as you can stuff the coil by energising it and not using the power, I usually wind the engine over for 7 revolutions, this is enough for most engines to get to full operating pressure.

    Check to see if you have fuel pressure (at least 35) and injector pulse by using a noid light, LED test light or by connecting a spare injector and seeing if it pulses.

Nah it is annoying, if the seller puts down that they are willing to swap for a boat, jetski, motorbike etc. and they get a reply then that is fair enough, I just hate seeing 'hey mate swap for my ke70, it has cut springs and a locked diff'

    Exactly, I dunno where Dave got the 222kg figure from. So, how does yours handle around corners :P

    You do know that the compression rises into the late hundreds to thousands when the engine is actually running.

    Yeah man it will, best thing to do is remove the x-members and slide the motor and box into the car so you can see how much tunnel and firewall you need to cut, once it is cut you can work out the mounts. Where are you located?

    What colour smoke? If it is an old exhaust it may have water in it and when it gets warm it will condensate.

    Yeah some you have to take the top plate off and scoop it out.
