  1. Hmm... I think Nick's white KE70 has some potential :doublebird:
  2. Heh, maybe because "everybody" in Japan has an NSX, so to be different you can have a Ferrari :doublebird:
  3. Not sure if these pictures have been posted up before, but I just stumbled across them and thought of Teddy :doublebird: Not 100% sure what this is...
  4. I have serious doubts if a K box would hold up to 200hp, even T boxes have trouble coping with that sort of power.
  5. Most stickers don't like water too much.
  6. Good on ya :doublebird: I stuck my HSCCQ sticker on my toolbox, but it kinda peeled off when my toolbox went swimming last week (garage flooded again, as usual) Would be good to see you out at some events next year! There are heaps!
  7. The Celica diff (T-series, 6.7" CW) is the same diff that came out in TE37's etc, and if you have the original workshop manual (yellow book) it shows these diffs too. Celica diff is reasonably easy to put into a Corolla, as they are more or less the same width. All I did with mine (It's an RA28 diff) was cut the existing mounts off, and get some leaf spring mounts put on in the correct places. When I was doing mine I found it easier to simply make new mounts than to cut off mounts from my old diff and modify them to fit... Once you have the mounts done, it's pretty much bolt in. The only thing that needs attention then is the tailshaft, which will be shorter (shortening tailshaft is simpler than making it longer) and with a different yoke on the end to suit the diff. Bear in mind that different Celicas had different yokes, so make sure you get the right one. I learnt that the hard way.
  8. I've found some 4.77 gears for the T-series (Celica/T18/AE86) diff for about USD399, which is marginally better than Palmside NZ. Postage will probably be more though, so it will probably end up about the same price. I'm ordering my Cusco RS center tomorrow or day after, $1280 inc shipping. They're usually about $1500. Cusco MZ and TRD usually go for about $1300 inc shipping, but I think if you get in before the end of this week coming you might be able to pick one up for about $1100. Heh, then I can sit and stare at my nice new LSD for awhile while I save up for some new gears...
  9. Haha, no I meant I've never been *admitted* to the RBH :insane: Those Hi-5 days have scarred me for life...
  10. And you thought you'd seen it all... http://www.heavy.com/collegiate/videos/pajamaricers.wmv They must have a steady supply of Camry's to trash or something... :insane:
  11. Nevo pulleys seems to be quite highly regarded. I wonder how much they cost? If Bill Sherwood uses them, they have to be "the shitz, yo" :insane:
  12. K bellhousings for T50 boxes are rare as rocking horse shit. Jamie was looking for one of these for AGES, I believe he's given up now...
  13. Just wandering around the Internet today, I stumbled across the Nevo website and noticed that they have "underdrive pulleys". The 4AGE ones are 15% underdrive on the crank and 10% underdrive on waterpump and alternator, while Bill Sherwood's ones special ones are standard crank, and very large others. I can understand putting smaller pulleys on the pump & alternator if you expect to be doing high revs a fair bit, but what's the advantage of underdriving the crank pulley?
  14. 2 gearboxes, K40 (4 speed) and K50 (5 speed). K50's came in some KE55's (I believe only in the XX model, but I could be wrong) and some KE70's. KE70 version is different to KE55 version, so I think you'll be wanting the KE70 version. I've heard rumours that the K50 box isn't as strong as the K40 box though, but not sure how true.
  15. Oh wow. With a car that neat, I'd rather keep it stock! That'd have to be one of the neatest KE20s I've seen in a long time...
  16. Hahahaaa, I know the feeling :insane: At least no one else in my house really uses the garage:
  17. MIG welder much nicer welds than an ARC. TIG even better :insane: I've got a MIG welder, but my welding is rather crap. I did weld up all the rust on my car, so I guess I can weld, but I won't claim to be any good at it at all. Most rust converters are very similar, they are pretty much some sort of acid. I'm using some stuff I got from Repco a little while ago, can't remember what brand it is now, but it seems to work. Don't get it on your hands, it's acid and it really stings! Or in your eyes, that's just all bad...
  18. Rust there is quite common. Make sure you get rid of all the rust (cut if it's really bad, or rust convert if it looks surfacy), then it's up to you how you want to fix it. Welding a patch back in is the "proper" way to do it, else fibreglass is probably the best bet. Not sure about the antenna cable, I don't have an AE71.
  19. Does anyone know of any workshops/people/cousins/brothers/etc who are good at working 4AGE engines? The only person I know who knows lots about 4AGE's is Anthony Kellam, but I don't know if he knows much about working them... Bill Sherwood seems to know a lot, but he's not really someone easy to get a hold of... I'm just looking for direction as to where to go with my engine... (which probably won't go anywhere for awhile due to zero funds, but would be nice to know where I could go if I did have some funds!)
  20. I've noticed a new rally person among us! Welcome, Raynman! :insane:
