  1. Heh, fair enough. An you can use all S13 stuff, which is a lot more common...
  2. Huh? Didn't you say that big brakes were a waste of time and that this conversion was a stupid idea (or something to that effect)? Oh well, good luck anyway...
  3. Hmm, okay. Going to have a play tonight and see if I can think of some bizzare solution, else will give Keith a call tomorrow maybe...
  4. Yes, that's what's currently on the ends of the cable. But I have no idea where to get them from, or where to find a crimper big enough to crimp them. Went to hardware store, they scratched their head too. On one of their displays they had a clamp with 2 screws in it that looked like it would work, but it was only a display, and they had no idea where to get them either... I've found one solution on someone's Westfield build diary where he put a piece of brake tube over the end, splayed the wire and put a big blob of solder in it. Apparently he load tested it and the cable snapped before the "end" gave way, so apparently it's strong enough...
  5. Rah rah, brake places don't know, fastener places don't know, hmm, I wonder who does this sort of thing?
  6. Right, spent lots of time welding yesterday, and I now have a diff full of boiled diff oil, and some brackets to bolt my handbrake cable set up to. All good, I think. The only thing left to be done to get the mechanical handbrake to work, as far as I can tell, is to shorten the handbrake cables... Any ideas what would be the best/cheapest way to do it?
  7. I would assume that a place like Pedders would have those separator things. I know I got a new set when I got my leaves redone...
  8. Had fun. Camry only died once, but problem was anticipated so fix was already sourced (water temp sender) so all good. Had heaps of fun, watching rally gods in rally cars having rally fun. And then talking to rally gods. And then having more fun. It was fun. Although at the end of the day, virtually everyone I knew had retired, apart from 2... A little Honda Civic (Ferris) and Tony Scott in his awesome KE70...
  9. Umm, Fook isn't on drugs.
  10. I know about the different sorts of K engines (or rather, the fact that there are the flat piston and dish piston sorts), but not much more. However, Doug (Felix) would most probably know the answer to your querries...
  11. No, I didn't catch the phone number (I was driving by)
  12. Failing that there was an AE71 for sale at Woodford, I think it was going for $1300. It looked alright from the other side of the road :insane:
  13. Ask Mumblezz, I believe he did this conversion. AFAIK you'll need to get the T18 tailshaft as well, it's shorter than the AE71/86 one because the diff is longer. Tailshaft should go straight onto the T50.
  14. Woo hoo, going to watch rally :insane: Hope Camry makes it!
  15. That's true. A lot of people change their exhausts etc to try to pull more power, and end up getting less. Honda put a lot of thought and technology into their cars from factory, so unless you really know what you're doing, chances are you'll just make it worse. Has anyone seen those Honda FWD drag cars from the US? Talk about MAD.
  16. Well, my camera was out so I thought I'd have a look, and true enough I took photos. Apparently I had a work Christmas party or something today at some park somewhere. Hmm. Yay!
  17. What day is it again? Hmm. According to something I posted today I was at work this morning. I know the Camry is in the driveway, yet the Corolla is on the street. So I mustave taken the Corolla out of the garage and driven it somewhere. That's odd, I don't usually drive the Corolla anywhere unless the Camry is broken, and if the Camry is in the driveway then I must have moved it there after taking the Corolla out, so I'm guessing it works. And I apparently wore my Rollaclub shirt to work today. That's odd. I usually wear a business shirt and slacks. Mustave been a special day. Have got nothing special in the palm pilot apart from work. And the housewarming dinner that I missed. Hmm. I wonder what I did today. As far as I can remember my day appears to have started with Haikal knocking at the door asking what we were doing tomorrow... Hmm. I wonder what I did today.
  18. I'd almost suggest getting the front cut before you finish the interior (esp dash) because you'll most probably have to have to have the dash out to spline in the wiring. Apart from that, sounds alright.
  19. My 100kW 4AGE must suck then, with extractors and pod filter it makes 69rwhp :insane:
  20. I'm not big-boned, I'm PHAT!!! :insane:
  21. Tom: Don't worry, we've seen that in you for awhile now :insane:

  23. Well, if you bothered to read the last few posts, you'd know that it is up and running. Also, as Rob said in the other post, punctuation is your friend.
  24. Ask Fook? As Rob says: Custom stuff comes at a price and doesn't always work. The Camry shares a lot of parts with the Celica of the same era. So the simplest thing to do would be to do what Ben said and get a frontcut, and transfer everything over.
  25. Translation: he's got no money to play with turbo's, so he wants to play with fake turbos... Cause that wouldn't make a BOV sound :insane:
