  2. 30th Jan. You'll need to book really soon though, places disappear really quickly (I missed out on the last one). I don't have the contact number on me unfortunately, but it might be on the MG Car club website maybe....
  3. What a silly looking car though :insane:
  4. And here's someone else with too much time: DIY Diablo
  5. Heh, no was not driving, just spectating. Corolla was broken so didn't put in entry, by the time it was running entries had closed... Not to mention I don't know if I really want to take the Corolla out there in it's current set up, it's rather difficult to drive anywhere even close to the limit. It's very fidgity and snappy, doesn't inspire any sort of confidence at all... Have put my name down for the come & try day in Jan though :insane:
  6. Who cares? And since when did anyone buy a Ferrari (or NSX for that matter) to drift anyway?
  7. Brant's Midget (which is for sale :insane: ) Datgirl: Last weekend was my first time ever at the hill climb...
  8. Very cool fabrication work, but makes you kinda wonder "why?" DIY Ferrari
  9. Have been thinking about my suspension, and what I can do to maybe make the car easier to drive, and talking to a few people who would probably know what they are talking about, and one thing that could be wrong with the current set up is maybe the rear shocks aren't really up to the job. They are currently standard KE35 KYB's. The car, however, is a little heavier (cage), the diff is heavier (Celica) and the springs a fair bit stiffer (approx 200lb), so perhaps the KYB's aren't really valved for all that... Will be getting the car back on the shock dyno early next year so I guess I'll find out then. I've heard rumours that Commodore shocks are a suitable replacement? Is this true? If so, what sort of Commodore? How are they different to the Corolla ones? Heavier valving? Any other differences? Or maybe I should just get some adjustable shocks like Koni's or something... Or Proflex, hahahahhahahahahahahahahaaaaaa :insane: Dream on...
  10. heh, speaking of which: 250cc International Superkart Some specs of these crazy things 4 wheel disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, 6 speed sequential gearbox, 0-100 in 2.35 seconds, high-8 quarters, these things are MAD!!!
  11. Haha, it's the sweep car. It comes round after all the competitors have been through to "sweep" the stage.
  12. Here's a photo from the hill climb on the weekend, just cause I felt like posting a photo up:
  13. Take 1 x go kart. Put big brakes on. Put big wings on. Install gearbox so that you can go faster. Go have fun :insane:
  14. Geez how many lights does Ian have??? He must have a BIG alternator :insane:
  15. Some photos, for some fun: His and Hers Redwarf doing what Redwarf does One for Teddy Tony Scott slippin and slidin (bald rear tyres don't help!) Peter Menzies Falcon Darn those rally cars have bright lights *edit* More photos
  16. Does anyone here go 10-pin bowling? Haikal and I have recently started going bowling again (well, okay we've been like twice), and were thinking of joining a league next year just for fun. We aren't very good at all (average about 80-100) but it's fun anyway. The league we're thinking of joining is the Coke league (Kedron AMF), runs for 30 weeks from Jan 30th, $15 per week for 3 games (and you get practice discounts for games outside the league) and if you finish the league you get a limited edition bowling ball at the end of it. Sounds like fun :insane: Hmm :D
  17. Sadly, I don't think so. I think I'm going in the wrong direction. My itenary says I take off from the US on 31st Dec, and if I'm not mistaken I land in NZ on the 2nd Jan. So I pretty much miss it completely. Hopefully they'll do something fun on the plane, this is the 2nd time I'm missing new years!
  18. Well... When you compare it to other extreme sports, what they do doesn't sound quite so crazy anymore. For instance, I used to inline skate and we used to do massive stair rides down HUGE (like, 4 story) stairs, and grinds down similar sorts of rails. One stuff up, and you end up rolling all or most of the way down the stairs, and believe me, it hurts especially when you fall on your back... Also did a few other crazy things like grinding down rails with more than 1 story drop offs on the other side, and jumping from table top to table top, skitching (hanging on to the bumpers of cars) and other crazy stuff... And then if you think that's extreme then look at BASE jumpers...
  19. On new years eve, I'll be boarding a plane in Arizona (USA), and on new years day I'll be somewhere between there and Auckland (NZ)
  20. Neither will I... :insane:
  21. AE101 and AE71 are very different in the front suspension, and won't really be worth the effort. I'm using Pug 604 discs and Landcruiser calipers on the front and Bluebird discs on the back, was a fairly easy conversion.
  22. You wouldn't need to get it sand blasted. And no you can't just use primer either, you have to put a top coat on it. Primer isn't waterproof.
  23. I take 1 :insane:
  24. Jason: My Globes are currently blue where the photo you have is black. The rest is just well, plain metal silver sort of color. But you can paint over the blue to whatever color you like. Mine are 14x6.
  25. I have a set, they could be for sale. Basically what I paid for them.
