  1. Oh wow, just been looking at shrunken coins and jacob's ladders, this stuff looks like fun! :insane:
  2. Nick: You should also come try the khanacross and autocrosses, they are HUGE fun :D Just don't go out after it's been raining :insane:
  3. Oooh tesla coils, fun!
  4. Well, we went bowling today, and boy did we suck. I tried to use the 12lb ball, but I've got virtually zero control over it whatsoever, couldn't keep my balance at all, so everything suffered. Couldn't get anything to work, so decided to go back to the 10lb, and couldn't bowl with that either!!! Bad approach, bad swing, bad followthrough, it was all amazingly bad!
  5. Umm... But it IS a sticky!
  6. I wonder how I found this page? Laa lalalalalalalalaaa... I am a wookie. Brrrm, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmm. Have you ever made brrm brrm noises underwater? Hmm! Grass is green, cherries are red and the world goes round, so what am I talking about now? The cows go moo, they stand around looking silly and go munch munch munch munch. I wonder if they can taste the grass they eat? cause wouldn't it be pointless, since a) grass doesn't taste that good and b) if all you ever eat is grass then it all tastes the same. maybe different sorts of grass taste different. Do you think it would taste different after the rain? Cows don't seem to mind getting wet, they stand around the field whether it's wet or dry, hot or cold, they just stand there eating grass. I wonder what they think about all day long. Do you think they'd be planning on wold domination? Mmmm, cows with guns. Cow pat. Do you think their bums itch? Imagine how annoying that would be, at least we can scratch most of ourselves, so if anything itches we can scratch. If you were a cow there'd be so much of you you couldn't scratch, it would drive you absolutely nuts! I don't like nuts anymore, they're evil, they make your teeth fall out. Then again maybe it's just my teeth, cause I have crappy teeth cause apparently I didn't drink enough milk when I was a kid. That's probably cause we don't get proper milk in Malaysia, just that UHT powdered stuff which is really rather lame. We did get like goats milk and stuff but it just wasn't quite the same. That plus the fact that milk there seems to taste different (crappy) and for some reason I'm also lactose intollerant in Malaysial; I can hardly drink any more than like a glass of milk before I start feeling sick. I like milk here, it's white, and it tastes good, and I can drink it all day long. Mmm, milk. Did you hear about that lady in New Zealand who was breast feeding her dog? My neighbour has a dog, it's a golden retriever I think. Actually, have you heard of the new craze? To have poodle cross breeds! My brother got one a few days ago, it is a poodle cross eskimo (which kinda looks like a samoyed or japanese spitz). His (?) name is Snowball, so I can only guess what he looks like. But anyways, was looking at photos of poodle cross dogs today, so cute! There was one of a GoldenDoodle and it was adorable. And then there were the Labradoodle and the Cockapoo and ShihPoo and Schnoodle, and the PekePoo, hahahaaa such silly names. I wish I had a dog, but I can't have a dog here cause the landlord won't allow it even though we've got this fenced area in the backyard, it's silly really, but oh well what can you do hey? Besides, keeping dogs is expensive, and I probably couldn't afford it anyway, what with all my money going into that silly white car downstairs, oh well. Started to repaint the sills and stuff, but got rather bored, I'm so slack. Hmm, I'm supposed to be going on holiday in about 7 days, you'd think I'd be excited and all that hey. But instead noooo I haven't even looked at my itenary, I probably should do that sometime. Like now, since I'm sooooo bored. Hmm, then again maybe dinner sounds better. Mmm, food. I like food, I like eating. I wonder what I feel like today? Perhaps Oki's chicken? Have you ever tried it? It's quite good, it's like Portugese chicken (did you know that the Peri Salsa sauce is basically chilli sauce? They just like calling it fancy names. Well, not really, but more or less. Whatever that's supposed to mean). Actually, thinking of food, I'm actually really hungry now. So I think I'm going to go for dinner. If you're read this far, I'm guessing you're really bored too, so maybe you should get something to eat too! Mmm, food!
  7. I generally don't do cruises (partially because I usually find them boring, and because my car isn't exactly a "cruise car"), but this one sounds like it's for a good cause. I've never been to the RBH, but my parents and brother (and sister-in-law) are doctors so I grew up in a hospital and know how hard they work. Hmm, maybe I'll just buy ribbons but skip the cruise...
  8. Added some of the rally dates in too, for our rally people (Hi Rob and Mel!) QRC = Queensland Rally Championship ARC = Australian Rally Championship Apart from the Short Course Rallies, QRC and any other dirt rallies, and the events in italics, all of the other events are pretty much open to anyone with a CAMS licence (generally 2S minimum)
  9. Also, as if there weren't enough events there already, IWMAC run "Test & Tune" days generally every 1st Sunday of the month. This is a practice day, not sure of pricing but have heard it's rather cheap (like $20 or something) using the autocross track, I don't think timing is done officially. Not sure who to contact about this, but the 2004 contact was Brenton Dibben (3281 8559 or 0407 256 265)
  10. And for future reference: Brisbane Sporting Car Club (BSCC) Holden Sporting Car Club of Queensland (HSCCQ) MG Car Club of Queensland (MGCCQ) Ipswitch West Moreton Auto Club (IWMAC) Gold Coast Tweed Motorsporting Club (GCTMC)
  11. Some events added, some changed. QMS = Queensland Motorkhana Series QMC = Queensland Motorkhana Championship QKS = Queensland Khanacross Series ICC = Interclub Challenge
  12. Should be the same.
  13. a "garfield" ball? I'd be guessing it would be a plastic ball, I can't see them giving us anything too flash. It's a "limited edition Coca cola ball", whatever that's supposed to mean...
  14. I didn't have any luck with mounting the 4A bellhousing to the early T50 (forward shifter, small bearing version), but that doesn't mean it's not possible. There are two styles of T-engine T50's, one with a forward shifter and one with a rear shifter (later model). I've heard of people using the one with the rear shifter... Does that even make any sense? I can't seem to construct sentences today... Yes you'll need the crossmember that's under the engine, but that's the same case with the 2T anyway (as in, in both cases you'll need a different crossmember).
  15. Well crazy_bunny is one of Trent's friends, but who is DJ Majah?
  16. Wow, nice work with the spelling too. Here's a few tips: 1) Use that spell checking tool that Teddy pointed out the other day. He used to be waaaaay worse than you (like to the point of not even being able to tell what he was trying to say), but see, he's actually pretty good now. 2) You've got the end-of-sentence full stop mostly right. Now you just need to put the in-between ones in and commas. I'm not an English teacher, and my English isn't perfect, so I'm not going to try to teach you how to do it. But one thing you could do is read your sentence, and where ever you think you might pause, put *something* in there. If it's a short kinda pause, put a comma in. If it's a bigger sort of pause, put a full stop. Chances are one or the other would be correct, so you're at least 50% right. In either case it'll be better than having *nothing* there. For instance, try saying this all in one breath, with no pauses: Did you pause anywhere? Do you think, maybe it would be more correct if you put a full stop after the word "cheaper"? The sentence isn't perfect, but at least with that in there it makes it a lot more understandable... Actually, let's show you what you're doing to us. Try reading this: I don't know about you, but if someone wrote that I'd be rather keen on kicking them very hard. Or I just wouldn't bother even reading their post. Or most probably both.
  17. Didn't realise there were different sort of weights in balls, did realise there were different grips and different materials. So does that mean I'm pretty much stuffed as far as bowling a hook ball if I use the house balls? If I join this league thing, we're meant to get a free ball at the end of it (drilled to whatever grip we want I would assume). Everyone I've spoken to recommends going for the "conventional" grip for now, as my average is still very crap, and probably wouldn't be that flash at the end of 30 weeks... They recon that I should be bowling at least a solid 140+ before even thinking of changing to a fingertip grip? Some people even recon waiting till I get to 170-180...
  18. hahahahahahaaaaa, "empares". Is that like "empire" with some spares? Or maybe it's some sort of new pear. Or a pair of m's. Haha. Seriously dude, you didn't even look at that spell checking plugin that Teddy pointed you to, did you? And yes, careful with the light tinting stuff, dept of transport is usually an overly big fan of it.
  19. Yes, just that etch primer tends to stick better to bare metal than normal primer. Well, it's supposed to anyway...
  20. Yaaaaaaay, thanks for that Rob :insane:
  21. Trent: So I'd assume you're quite good then? Would you have any tips on how to get more revs? No matter what I try I can't seem to get many revs on the ball so they all kinda go straight'ish... I guess the house balls aren't the best to bowl hook balls with, but I've seen some people do it and I'm curious :insane:
  22. Anything you're going to topcoat should be primed first. If it's bare metal you should use an etch primer, if it's flexible plastic you should use a plastic primer (I've only heard of plastic primer, I've never actually seen it sold). Anything else and I usually use primer filler just cause it helps to hide any imperfections. I hardly ever use primer surfacer these days. For your primer I'd say primer filler would be just fine. If you're painting white top coat try to find a light colored primer, will save you a lot of hassle later on.
  23. Probably also useful to keep an eye on the MG Car Club Queensland website
