Okay, past the limit of my knowledge :P I doubt the lack of circuit opening relay will stop it working, I've heard of people wiring up their cars with just normal relays before. Shouldn't be a problem to have pump wired to accessory, just dangerous (if you have a prang pumps will keep pumping) Umm... not sure :P
-
Do you know why it doesn't turn over yet? Fuel? Spark? Something else? EFI cars are a pain to diagnose... How are your fuel pumps turned on and off if you're not using FC? I take it you don't have a proper circuit opening relay? You'll normally have a few plugs leftover, I know I took out a few before the loom went in the car, and I still have about 2 that aren't plugged to anything. What have/haven't you plugged in?

BATT is constant 12V, usually to somethin like the STOP fuse or something. +B1 and +B are pretty much the same wire, you can join them together. These go to your circuit opening relay, and will get power when your EFI main ralay comes on, ie when IGN on. FC again goes to your circuit opening relay. Basically when the engine is on the ECU earths this, which in turn pulls the relay on for the fuel pump.

Erm... now to dig up the old wiring diagrams and see what I did... Will get back to you when I actually find these diagrams :P

1ZZ's are actually pretty cheap now, and they are lighter than a 7AFE. 2ZZ's are still pretty expensive. The main thing that makes a *ZZ engine hard to put into RWD is the gearbox bits, but either a custom bellhousing or adaptor plate isn't *too* hard to do, but again only if you have money and/or motivation to throw into it. Also, you need the whole ign key barrel etc because of the security system on these engines. In otherwords, you probably need to buy the whole frontcut. Nothing wrong with a Lancer, as long as it's a GSR :P

Yes it is pretty well signposted. I would be guessing the best way would be along the Gateway (signposted from the Pacific Highway), but if you don't want to pay toll you can come all the way into the city and turn off toward the Valley, and follow the signs from there. Will probably take longer though. Either that, or Inner City Bypass will also take you there.

1 litre per 3 km? Wow. Now THAT's fuel economy! :P How much fuel did you go through for Qld Challenge? I used about 3/4 tank or something, and that included driving to Ipswitch. I've heard from several other sources that Iain from Carbtech is the place to go.

I've heard rumours that the Starion (?) or something came out with something along the lines of a 4G63, and they were RWD. In any case, even if they did you really wouldn't want to use them because of how early a 4G63 that would have been, and how old they are now. But I suspect you'd be able to use their gearboxes etc. Do remember as well that Mitsubishi's 4G63 engines have gone through a HUGE evolution, to the extent that virtually NOTHING is interchangeable between the Evo 4,5,6,7,8 4G63's and the earlier models (the engine was turned around). So the compatibility of these to any earlier gearboxes may be questionable. That said, with enough money (and/or motivation) you can make any FWD engine into RWD, I know of someone who's putting a 1ZZ engine into a clubman and all he's done is shave 12mm off the bellhousing and made a 12mm adaptor plate. And I know a company down south that's just put 2 x 1ZZ clubmans on the road...

No, it isn't. GIGO.

The "proper" way is to use a fish eye lens. This is basically a very wide angle lens, usually < 16mm. Most cameras don't do any less than 28mm.

On the same note have you tried comparing a Hayabusa engine to a 4K? 1300cc's of raw power... AND, they're both NA.

Has anyone bought the "barrel" from KFC lately? They don't give you the barrel anymore! The last time we bought a barrel they put it into a box, I thought that was such a major rip off! Why would anyone buy a barrel for any other reason than to get the barrel???
-
Well hey, this IS the "off topic" section ;)
-
Haha, and that's in Malaysia too ;) That looks like the Federal Highway that links Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur, but I could be wrong...

Well, KFC, you really can't compare that with normal chicken can you? I'm strange. When I was a kid in Malaysia, going to KFC and Maccas and Pizza Hut and the like was a really special occasion, we even used to dress up for it. It was the sort of place you'd go to for Christmas, or for a birthday or something. I used to LOVE KFC, especially if and when we got the barrel, cause then we'd have this huge paper barrel with red and white stripes which was just rad. Anyway, moving on to maybe 15 or 18 years down the track... I still get like major cravings for KFC. I hardly eat the stuff. But like, I'd be sitting around at home or whatever and I'll go "hmm, I REALLY want KFC..." and I'd go get it, take the first bite, and realise why I don't eat it very much, and then feel sick for the next few hours... I don't really know what's with it. I think it's the oil. It's so oily that it makes you feel sick. Maybe... In any case, I don't really know what my point was, so there ;)

Heh... my teeth have never ever been fantastic (I used to have some jaw problems, and I also have less teeth than most other people), and heh - no with muesli I actually don't like the way they get stuck in my teeth ;) Similar to say... Snakes. Snakes tend to get stuck in my teeth too, and it annoys me. Re: teeth breaking, I'm more afraid of things like... Minties. Although I still have to keep catching myself chewing on bits of ice...

I'm actually surprised by how much (well, little) power Dino made on the dyno... According to Evan, on the same dyno that I pulled 69hp from (and Rob pulled 61hp I think?), Dino pulled about 40hp after tuning. Being an L20, it should have pulled more? It looks like it's got a lot more mumbo than that...

Haha, looks like we've all run out of washing powder at the same time, what are the chances! I've been scratching around the bottom of my washing powder "box" for the past few weeks now, trying to get at the last of it... Muesli... I used to really like muesli. I guess I still do, but it gets stuck in my teeth and that annoys me. I like sultanas though, sultanas rock. That purple-box stuff (forget what it's called now) has lots of sultanas... I must admit though, coco pops really don't do much. Apart from making my milk all chocolaty (mmm) it isn't filling, or anything. I have coco pops in the morning, and by the time I get to work I'm hungry again...

Well, to the 6 people who voted for QC: YOU ALL LOST, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA ;) Had a look under the car yesterday when I was trying to fix my speedo drive, and although the paint around the bracket is a bit cracked, the weld still holds :D 5 more voters to go...

If anyone wants a 3.9 gearset to suit a T-series 6.7" diff I have one you can have... Mmm, 4.77 ;) I wonder if it'll be taxed? Hmm, probably. Anyone going to New Zealand anytime soon? You might be able to catch the last of the ski season!

Well I cooked chicken korma on Tuesday (or was it Monday?), still have the last of it which I think I really should eat tonight, else it'll probably end up in the bin. I love simmer sauce, it's the ultimate lifesaver for people who can't cook like me. Chicken from the city? Really? I would have thought it would be better to buy chicken in the outback, you'd' think they'd be more "natural" and stuff - a bit like buying free range eggs or something? The ones in the city are probably all pumped up with hormones and stuff... What kinda cereal do you eat? I usually have coco pops, although I'm rather tempted to try that new nutrigrain berry? Looks interesting anyway.

Oh yeah that's right, I'm supposed to buy some washing powder too (and milk). My huge box of washing powder finally ran out after 3.5 years of good service ;) Hell there's hardly even much left of the box, it fell apart ages ago! Hmm, what else? Should buy some chicken. I like chicken.

I would assume NZ$, since the freight is in NZ$. I think Mr Revhead was willing to sell the brand new TRD 2-way LSD's for slightly cheaper, at NZ$1260 or something along those lines. The 4.77 gears look really nice though. Alternatively AFAIK Levins and Trueno's in Japan came with 4.3 gears which are more common and may be cheaper...

Oh well, whoever Omo is, he/she has a birthday today, so Happy Birthday...
