My other half just has to print some catalogs off for a cut, colour and foils.....

Yeah its frigging stupid. Just how damn hard is it to slip a disc to the side before it gets placed into a bloody box. Man, i couldn't even careless if it was just wrapped in plastic with a part number written on it.....
-
^^ Thats something i would have done for shuts and fiddles.

Went into an auto shop to grab just a clutch disc only to find thats its a discontinued item. The only way to get one is to buy the whole kit....

Let me guess its either a male or its a on heat female. But i'd say a male - just wait till it starts marking his territory. Go to the vet and get the snip :) Get a scratching post for it. One of our cats gives one a good clawing from time to time and the other cat goes stupid when she starts clawing one of them.

But this time today i had the fun of doing the job of taking it out myself. And with a DIY transmission jack that i made up i had the g'box out and pulled the clutch out. The g'box side of the clutch plate, pressure plate still had a bit of grease on it. But since i was taking it kind of slow i give it all a good bath with three cans worth. Putting the box back in and the father-in-law spotted this little venomous phucker Toowoomba Funnel-web I really really hate spiders. More so the ones that can kill in an hour or two.

Had a mate come up from Gympie for a few days and he helped me with the clutch. About the only thing we could find was the clutch plate itself was greased up a little. A good hit with brake cleaner on the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and inside the bellhousing did a good job on the grease. Seamed to work in fixing the slippage, but the test drive i think there was still some there.

Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives... You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore, rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side, here in this country of ours. You, the mothers, who sent their sons from far away countries... Wipe away your tears. Your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land, they have become our sons as well. M. KEMAL ATATURK, 1934 (The founder of Turkish Republic) FOR THE FALLEN: THE ODE They went with songs to the Battle They were young, Straight of limb, True of eyes, steady and aglow, they were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, They fell with their faces to the foe They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun and in the morning WE WILL REMEMBER - LEST WE FORGET The Rising Sun, was worn on the turned up side of the Slouch Hat. A smaller Rising Sun badge was worn on each side of the neck, on the collars of the battledress jacket, in World War One. What is it with bloody repeats on the idiot box this past week....

You'll have to remove the lower control arms from the x-member and the drag link from between the steering box and the idler arm.

The 5k i have has a similar style head. And it came with the air injection crap, except for the air pump.

Well, whats better A super stiff suspension setup that has no body roll ? Or a stiff suspension setup that keeps some body roll ? Which one will go around corners better and faster ?
-
Google the sentence "Apex of a corner". Would be one step closer. "Cornering dynamics" is another. By the way, chopped springs and a locked diff is also a good way of losing the car as well as your licence. Have a nice day :) Edit - fixed last nights phone attempt

I only saw the ad for the win local news but looked the car got totalled in a driving misadventure :glare:

Thats cool. The photo of the clutch cable also shows where it runs through the bellhousing. As with the welding, you could give it a go but i don't really think much of the chances of it surviving for all that long. Where the cable attaches to the fork moves like a pivot point, welding the cable won't give that needed pivot.
-
Thats your speedo cable, which fits here Clutch cable fits about here, and your missing the goldie looking bit that fits onto the cable which attaches to the clutch fork And page from my workshop book, hopefully the picture is clear enough to see how it all goes together. If your on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com....=item41571e584e But normally when you buy a clutch kit the release bearing is included Don't forget the little bearing that goes in the end of the crankshaft. Its needed for the gearbox input shaft to sit in. Edit - the pictures i put up of the g'box are coming up stupid, but the links for them are fine. Their just coming as attached pictures at the bottom.

Nar sorry mate don't have a spare bonnet at all. And for a bit of an update on the charoit - I've been having troubles with the clutch. Its been slipping, but only after about 20min of driving and really only in 4th and from time to time in third. Never in first, second or reverse. I've made sure the clutch cables adjusted correctly, all the bolts that i can get too are tight and I've also done the test of having the motor idling, stepping on the clutch, selecting 4th and taking my foot off the clutch and the motor starts bitching as soon as the clutch starts to grab. I'm wanting to get under to pull the g'box out so i can have a look see, but firstly i need to get the motovation to do it :(

Ae86 Front End Suspension + Brakes Into Ke55
towe001 replied to Chillin's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
I'm pretty sure the ke55 camber hats will bolt onto the ae86 struts. At least thats what i've done with the t-18 struts i've got under my thing. I know the t-18 camber hats will fit but i went with the ke30 ones cause they have a lower profile. I'd say sniff it and see with the ae86. Can't say on that one, but at a guess you'll be needing a bigger MC cause of the bigger calipers. -
On the south side near the "I see ghosts" cemetery down past k-mart. Ke30 sedan. But at the moment its just sitting around chilling out cause it can't make its mind up if the clutch is going to slip or not. And i don't have the motivation to do something about it at the moment

Its how i did it. But then again, i did pull the whole she-bang out of the car first before removing the transmission off the motor. From memory the torque converter was connected to the transmission shaft and the converter is bolted to the flywheel. I'm not sure on that one. But i do remember having to go under the sump to unbolt the converter. Which, no matter how much oil had been drained from the auto, will still have a load of oil in it.
