  1. You pair are nucking futs :lolcry: Good to see the planned trip is passing through T-bar
  2. "Lefty - losey, tighty - righty" It tends to come natural from spinning spanners etc after a bit. But it tends to come unstuck, i guess you could say, when your trying to break the lock on a bolt that you can barely even see brake caliper bolt, bottom manifold bolt or just a brake hose thats firmly attached to its bracket or your on your back arms up in grease, oil and crap in your eyes. Or just that bolt that starts to go loose and then it tightens up again..... and even with load of possum piss on it. And here you are swinging off the bolt thinking lefty - losey ?!? So WTF ?!? Right hand into the thumps up position in the rough direction you want the bolt to travel and you'll figure it out if your doing it right or rong. I picked up the tip decades ago from an old guy that was a mechanic for decades. Anybody else got a tech tip that they think makes their life a bit easier ? Doesn't matter if its car based or garage based.
  3. Neat tip on working out which way you need to turn the spanner etc. Right hand threads By holding your right hand in front of yourself like in the picture. Hold your thumb in the direction you want the nut or bolt to travel. Working as an example on the nut in the picture of the nut and bolt. If you want the loosen the nut, the thumb points up. If you want to tighten the nut, the thumb points down. See how the tips of the fingers point into the palm of your hand (arrows show direction) is the direction you'll need to turn the spanner etc. Uncommon left hand threads are treated the same but with your left hand instead.
  4. All going well we should be there.
  5. Looks like we're going to have to pull the pin as well. I was hoping my man flu would have been better by now but its gotten worse instead :-(
  6. We'll do the usual thing and meet up out at the camp site. We'll be bringing one extra with us, ambers dad. A gas heater and a extra table (about the same size as JiP's)
  7. I don't really want to know where you stuck your flute.
  8. And the woman doesn't care one little bit that i'm sick
  9. Netspace. Since we're getting the net disconnected on the 10th and netspace went down yesterday and their now back up as we found out on the phone to them. They didn't bother reconnecting us. Its going to take a minium of 48hours upto a maximum of 288hours (2-10 days). So in basic words we told them "F U we want a refund for those days we don't have the net"
  10. Datsun 120y Well almost, but the ones a mate and i checked out needed a bullet more then anything. And on one case the owner, who "forgot" to tell us that the brakes didn't work. And as things were looking pretty bleak the mate found a corolla that "Needed TLC" in the paper. I bitched but we had a look and i fell in love with it. One fiber washer for the sump plug, a degrease, two ball joints, two tires, a roadie and rego is all it needed and i had my first ke30 running a 4k with a k50 g'box.
  11. The sigma arms aren't a direct bolt in job. The steering arms have to be modified for the sigma ball joints. Just to clear the air on that
  12. Cool cool. We're still keen. But i'm not sure if i'll be able to take the turtle out with me :-( On going stupid clutch problems.
  13. :y:
  14. What the heck is she wearing |blink| :lmao:
  15. Unfortunately no there isn't enough meat on the ke30 :( If your game you could lift the pivot point up and out by about 20mm +/- but then you'll start getting bump steer problems. Sigma LCA's on the ke30 would give a shocking amount of camber.
  16. Its so hard to believe that the flash flood ripped through here Same spot
  17. Bumping us to the top Almost a month ago Yesterday I'm positive its owned by someone on here.
  18. Amber's been on my back a little She wants to know is the date still 7th-8th may and is it still out at cressbrook ??
  19. The only other way i can see it not fitting is if the motor has been up-righted. Which would also mean the g'box x-member would need to be fixed or something so that it can be angled over as well for the box to fit to the motor. Sandwich plates - about the only real difference is the one that fits between the auto and motor has an inspection hole. At least that's what i've noticed with the ones i have here. I think i'd be asking to see it, cause i don't believe it.
  20. Or the struts have been bent and someone has turned them around. I wouldn't think it'd be that hard to do, especially since the car was off the ground and the suspension unloaded.
  21. Sorry no beer for Reed cause you gave your credit card to the missus
  22. Far out that wheel looks sexy
  23. Don't forget Dave the gear stick is in a different position for the ke70. Its further back then what it is for the ke30/55. And the gearbox mounts are different. You'll be needing the g'box from another ke70.
