  1. Hey Guys, Considering the option of respraying the Rolla while the engine is out and engine bay is completely stripped. Looking for someone locally who can do a top job but of course on a budget! Anyone on here willing to do the job or know of someone who can? It was only resprayed a few years ago so very limited body work required. A little sink back in some areas, some very minor dents and slight bubbling of rust around filler cap. Aside from that the car is still in really good solid condition. Thinking of going a satin white finish, or maybe a different white. Most importantly is getting the body back to dead straight.
  2. EPC = Electronic parts catalogue? Where would I find?
  3. I was trying to get the levin part numbers for tail lights etc... but cheers all the same!
  4. Already tried that :( It only lists landcruiser for 71
  5. Hey guys, does anyone know if there is a website where you can look at parts diagrams to get part numbers for a 71 rolla? Every website I've found only goes back to 1975 :( Cheers
  6. Up for sale is my 2001 Ford Econovan Located North West Brisbane. Looking for swaps for a tidy Corolla to a $4000 value or less for cash to help fund my KE25 resto! Good clean body and paint, no rust and good tyres. Interior is clean and tidy. Runs and drives very well. Manual shifts smoothly. Would be a great parts carrier, tradies van or turn it into a mini van. Tonnes of room inside! Let me know what you got. 0426 391 876 - Cam
  7. Styler - Your scaring me now mate!! I am going to talk to a brake specialist about it to make sure I get it right first time! Don't want the hassles of chopping and changing setups, brakes failing and locking up etc... Will keep you posted on what does actually work as I can't find a lot of successful installs.
  8. Thanks Parrot - One of the guys has a KE70 master so will give it a go to see if it works. Let me know if you have any luck from your library!
  9. I'm going to try a KE70 master as apparently these are the same as the '86 masters The TE27 pedal box looks like a bit of work to get in place but nothing major.
  10. I did already sus out your post but alas no final outcome as yet! I spoke to a local guy in Brissy today regarding new brake lines. He has quoted around $150 for the fronts double flared as required. He has also advised to keep the proportioning valve and try the AE86 master. The said the most important thing is that it is jetted correctly otherwise you end up with severely biased brakes. He has also suggested another guy who is supposed to be a true legend when it comes to braking systems locally. I will keep you updated on the progress. Just being cheap and lazy trying to find a tried and tested setup that works!
  11. Currently the master is the standard KE25 item. I have read that the Ford Meteors and Galant masters will fit. I think standard bore size of master is 11/16 but will need confirmation if anyone knows? Maybe the idea of the 86 master is the way to go, however will this suit a drum brake rear as the 86's more than likely came out with disc rear? I am also not sure if the brake proportioning valve needs to be kept or simply thrown over my shoulder. Brakes are something I have never had to play with so a massive learning curve. Cheers
  12. Hey guys, I am in the middle of transplanting a TE27 hydraulic pedal box into my KE25 but need some assistance with replacement master cylinder options. I am not going for a booster as I prefer the natural feel. The setup in the rolla is as follows. KE25 71 model TE27 hydraulic pedal box 3TC (to be turbo'd at a later date Single webber so room is not an issue ADM AE86 struts and calipers Standard diff with drums Can someone who has had success with their setup please let me know what the simplest and best option for a replacement master cylinder. Yes there are a lot of options out there and info on the forum but a lot is heresay as opposed to sucessful conversions. Your help is appreciated. Cheers
  13. lol. I did some dodgy stuff in my days but nothing compared to that! Stick with what GJM85 says as this is what I did in the past and it has been tried and tested! Good luck.
  14. 4k solids with either datto 1200 or Holden 202 pushrods
  15. G'day Jay, Great find!! Thanks for the point in the right direction bud. Cam
  16. G'day guys, Wondering if the more experienced and frugal might be able to point me in the direction of some parts for the KE25. Obviously trying to do the build on a budget so every penny counts! I mainly need suspension bushes, ball joints, tie rod ends etc.. Repco are quoting ridiculous prices. $100 for a single ball joint!! Your advise would be appreciated. Cheers
  17. oh, and this like is full of tonnes of useful info. Scoured the net before I decided to go 3TC k series

  20. buy the 4k turbo kit for sale in the classifieds section - best bang for buck. I had a turbo 5k in my old 36 and it flew. Bog stock engine though the standard head gasket didn't like it. Was running a blow through 1 3/4 su carb. For what it cost it certainly moved!
  21. Cheers mate, I managed to buy a crossmember and mounts off a fellow member in NZ. There is another guy selling on here but not sure if they have been modified. The ones I brought are OEM.
