  1. no prob.Today I traded the 3" blocks for more manageable 2" blocks. I cleaned up the welds on my rear panel. A welder with gas makes a big difference. I also swapped my 3rd member to my freeway flyer one. I took it for a quick drive and it seems much better. Ill try it out on the freeway tomorrow. There is quite a bit of work involved in a simple swap of gear ratios. Definitely not like a motorcycle. Green is my GO fast! color
  2. Congrats on a nice new running 4age. Sounds good!
  3. Ya, it's the better usdm hooker model. The struts are bigger because I have the beast of a 2t engine. I got the Weber from eBay (for 2t).the paint is that orangish red. I love the paint, but I found that the hood, front fenders, cowl were repainted in the wrong color. Now that I buffed it, it's really noticeable now. Lowering blocks are huge ones that will be pain in the a$$ to install.they are the size to use on a full size chevy truck. I can post more pics when I finish buffing.
  4. Nice work on the chin spoiler. What thickness of metal did you use? Is it heavy? I like the exsposed adjusting / mounting hardware.
  5. Looks good. Love the dunlop wheels on her.
  6. cool sketch. looks like your car scrapes often.
  7. Camber tops came in today. I can probably use either the round or triangle on my car. Looking at the comparison, The round will give me a lot more adjustability than the the triangles. The triangles will give me more metal around the bolts though. I am going to see how each of them fit. How much camber adjustability do you actually need? I'm looking at getting 2" lower and, and I want to keep my camber in check as to not unnecessarily wear out tires.
  8. I am ready to swap over some suspension components, but the seller of my camber plates sent me the wrong ones. I bought the triangle shaped ones and they sent the circle. The red springs are what I have in the car now. They are 320lbs at 7.5" tall. The new black ones are 10" at 300lbs, so it will make my ride a little smoother. the current rate is fine for the street for track feeling car, but i prefer a little softer and a taller spring. I also got thrust bearings to get rid of the popping noise that I get when cranking the wheel in parking lots.
  9. I took a buffer and some rubbing compound to my ridiculously oxidized paint. It's slow going, but I think its worth it. I'm about 1/2 way done. There are parts of primer and bare metal showing through, but it gives the car character.
  10. NICE! You have tons of room around that engine... for now.
  11. This made me laugh because I know what you mean. I have a 5 speed t50 in my car! Meaning = its in the trunk for cleaning in hopes that it will be bolted in one day. I remember the post of your car with the engine in the back. :laff: :laff: :laff:
  12. Looking good. How many ponies will that thing make when its done?
  13. Looking good. sheet metal work with a stick welder- Thats dedication.
  14. You should be fine with the DMV. Tell them that you want a "statement of fact" form. This will let you tell the story of how long you have had the car. After this, they will do a VIN verification, check to see if it’s stolen, then you get plates. I would try to use the original plates if you can. I thought the car looked familiar. Working on it and getting her going sounds like a blast. Take lots of Pics.
  15. Cool car! I am also in Ca (Fresno) with a TE27. Where abouts are you?
  16. WOW. Its better than new!
  17. Cool cars!
  18. I pulled my smog friendly weber, and swapped with my other one to see if it would get rid of that pesky hesitation right off of idle. The car now runs great. The power is a little lacking compared to the other. I think that is because the other one was leaned out, and this one is running pretty rich. Ill have to get out there and give it a tune. Please excuse my temporary tape oil cap. I put in my rear shocks in. What a difference it makes. With my home built coilovers, replaced needed bushings, and new shocks and struts, this car drives like its brand new. I can steer down the freeway with one finger. :D I also sprayed some etching primer on my rear panel so it wont rust due to the moisture. Ill work more on this at some point. And a pic of the car just because.
  19. That looks like a 2t 1600 engine. The little changes between your and mine are entertaining me. Skylines are nice.
  20. Awaiting Pics, And why is it for sale on craigslist?
  21. YES! there is so much win going on here. Keep at it.
  22. If you need ideas, Check / change fluids, Clean everything, Pull off the hitch from the back. The more time you spend with the car, the more you will refine what you want.
