  1. lol. I was thinking the same thing. Looks good on that car.
  2. WOW. Now I don't feel so bad when I hard shift mine with my stock 2tc. :jamie:
  3. I put a 32/36 dft 9a on my stock 2tc. this carb is brand new, so nothing has been tuned or adjusted. The car runs but doesnt idle. Where do I start. Here are the jets and adjustments: There are the 4 inside the housing here, and the high idle on the right side: There is a screw in a tube here (blocking the hole?) and under the choke there is another adjustment for the throttle. I have no idea how to achieve idle, but it would be nice to have so I can drive it to the guy that tunes cars. any help appriciated.
  4. I have a stock 2tc in mine, and I love it even with a tri-matic. And for the reliablility, my parents had a te70 with a 3tc in it. The car got up into the 360k mile range before it was retired with the original engine, t50 trans, axle, etc... It still ran after we parked it.
  5. This car is going to be sweet! I am looking forward to seeing more progress. How strong is the trimatic? Do you have an approximation of HP it can handle? How does it stand vs the t50?
  6. looks like fun.
  7. Very nice. I'd trade a datsun for that any day. Thanks for giving me an idea on what mine will look like in black.
  8. So clean and simple on the outside. Bet its a pleasure to drive with that power to weight ratio + 5 speed. I hope to make my car like this one!
  9. Clean car. I like the look of the slant ke70s with that light blue. Have fun with the project.
  10. Very nice. Must be a blast to drive.
  11. I forgot about this post. I would buy an adapter but this carb isn’t made anymore. I heard they stopped making them in the early 80’s. I can find Weber adapters, but not for this carb. I just ended up making this: don't mind the one on the left. I just need to put it on now.
  12. Sounds like a lot of fun. So what does the car look like now?
  13. looks like a good start.
  14. I was not happy with the progress on my spacer. I had a bad plan on how to do the middle large holes. After working on it for a while, I realized that I can make another one for less time than it would be done, and it would be a cleaner job. So in a very short time I made one. I like the way this one lines up better than the old. This one got a little beat up while trying to get the middle of the big holes out: Lets just try again: There we go. Nice and clean: I hope to have this weber on the car soon. I have temp. registration on my car till January.
  15. NOOOooooo.....
  16. looks good. Lets see how it turns out.
  17. Love your wheel / tire combo. can't wait to see it resting on its own feet.
  18. Click the blue link on the bottom of my post to see my car. It is a lot like yours.
  19. If you can do the work a diff / axle from an AE86 can fit. You would have to convert your car to link, or convert the axle to leaf. If you are doing that much work you might as well go with a celica one that has lsd and can handle a lot more power.
  20. Looks like a fun project. Looking forward to seeing more around christmas break.
  21. VERY NICE CAR! You guys did a great job. Love the lime green.
  22. Cool car. Let’s see some more pics of it. How about some pics of the wheels? -before / after? You are asking us for ideas on what to do to your car?!?! -I recommend looking around at other peoples build threads and seeing what you like about each of them. Then, you can put together a plan for your own car to make it suite your taste. I look forward to seeing more pics of your 75' :) (you can look at my beater for ideas \/ in sig.)
  23. slow low budget build, D.I.Y., Necessities first- sounds like a good build to me. Looking forward to your build. Your car looks like its a good start MINUS those square headlights- eeeeyuk! I avoid those things like the plague. GL with engine building
  24. thanks guys.
