  1. Are these motivational pics to get me working again?
  2. Cool project. I guess these RA40s can look good.
  3. Keep up the good work. I like what you have done to the car so far. Good luck with the hood. Hope you find one.
  4. Nice car. Looks nice and clean.
  5. Finally worked on the car again. I stripped the tires off my rims and bead blasted them. After tires removed: Nice and dusty: I weighed them and compared to a 13" steel wheel. The MA61's are 1 lb heavier. Steel was 15.5 and mag was 16.5, but the mags gain 2 inches in width and an in added in circumference. I plan to paint the insides black and polish the face / lip.
  6. It happens. Glad yo see you undertaking your own paint job. I am interested to see how it turns up. This will be the way I do mine as well. So far I practiced on engine parts. Did you paint your inner door area too?
  7. WOW good 2-3tc info. what kind of power output do you have to be making to start adding dowled FW, rocker locks, and oil squirters? I assume that your 2-3tc's are ran VERY hard in a rally car application. Are these mods specifically for high horsepower NA built engines or shall the same be done for turbo application? Thanks for the great info.
  8. Take a pic of the metal tag close enough so I can read it and Ill look up the numbers. I am wondering because I have a t50 (manual trans) that is going into mine and I have a 4.10 ratio diff and a 3.5-something and I am wondering how the 2tc will pull it. THIS! My spare 2tc is going 3tc inside
  9. I was planning on a swap, but the 2tc does really well. I'm just going to keep mine simple. What rear end ratio do you have? have a pic of the engine bay metal tag?
  10. Like this?: I think they are rather cool looking. Hijack over- carry on.
  11. Huge improvement. I think it looks rather good with the plasti-dipped parts. I like looking at other cars that are like mine. I can get good ideas for mine. I'm looking at your engine- any plans for a tidy up?
  12. Thanks for the props Update My car is running much better with the weber on and all dialed in (aka figuring out the vac lines). Now Ill have to find some time to get it to the smog shop, then It will be legal to drive. After this I can work on the cars aesthetics. I am looking forward to swapping out some bits and start driving it. Edit- Video added: http://s707.beta.pho...481981.mp4.html
  13. If you arnt making huge power out of the engine, I don't think the runner's length would matter that much. You can easily, and cheaply make an adapter to adapt the carb to the manifold's bolt holes. I did this on my corolla because my CA legal carb kit was missing the adapter. The 6011 alum. I used was about 16$ shipped (enough for at least 2 tries). Take a look at my later pages of my build thread for more details. You can even do it with primitive tools with more time and creativity.
  14. Ya that would be 3tc G. I have the same issue with them. I think I may do the same front suspension as you. 4" lowering blocks!?!? will there be any suspension travel left? or will the axle be held tightly aginst the bumpstops by the leafs?
  15. I love those tic tac toe rims.
  16. Daliy TE31's ... ahh yea
  17. Nice. Good to see another te31 on here. Yours has a lot more blue than mine. I am curious to see what you do with your suspension. I plan to lower mine 2" all around.
  18. I ended up bumping the high and low idle up till it barely ran (like a tractor). I drove it after putting my home built linkage system on it. Now I have to wait for a tuning shop to be open so I can stumble my car down there. To see more of what I did click my thread link below.
  19. Where are you from? That may change the value of these cars. Its probably unlikely since it is a ke70. Those are pretty common everywhere.
  20. Loving the progress. I like how the interior is turning out.
  21. So clean.
  22. Things are slow going with my car as I am prepping my house for sale. I have installed the Weber carb. I had to make the adapter from previous posts, and a throttle sinkage setup. Here they are on the car and a video of it running like a tractor. Enjoy: Made these: Installed: All buttoned up with the air cleaner on: Running like a sick tractor until i get it tuned:
  23. Yes. The kit was made in 1980ish? (32/34 DFT 9A) They made this kit back in the day specifically for the 2tc and 3tc engines. Perhaps someone who knows Weber Carbs can tell me the technical names of each adjusting screw. If I can get this I can use Webers tuning guide. ( http://www.carburetion.com/weber/adjust.htm ) If not ill have to look up some diagrams and see if I can figure it out.
  24. Which screw is that?
  25. I am not around the car right now. I would like to raise the idle with the idle circuit. The car otherwise runs well enough for a brand new carb. I just have to tap the gas every few seconds to keep the idle from stumbling. Perhaps I could just open the throttle up a little with those adjusters and make it idle ok until I get it tuned. Would make the drive a little more bearable… Wait, this is my corolla I’m talking about, I love riving this thing regardless.
