Its not because I didn’t look around. Its because I couldn’t find a RUNNING engine. Found a few but they either weren’t in the car or didn’t run. I’m not going to risk buying an engine for hundreds and not be totally sure its running. Anyone can take out an engine and say its running to a buyer, I'm just not willing to risk it as I don’t have cash coming from anywhere. Called up a few yards but they wanted $400+ for a 4K, its bullshit. Went and looked at this KE20. The chick started it and it fired first go. That’s just what I want, something that runs. I don’t care what it is. If it gets me from A to B then I'm happy. Later on I will think about engine conversions and such. Hmmm maybe a 12A, 13BT :) or a 2TG. But anything like that isn’t going to happen any time soon I really couldn’t care less. 3K, 4K, 5K. Its my first car so I just want to get it running sweet. Cheers Tally

Hey guys Finally some progress!!!!!! Bought that Brown 72' KE20 thats is now in the Car Trader. Just a shitty old 3K, gutless as hell but meh it runs for god sake!!! Engine is a little smokey but looks to be in good condition. Runs too... hehehe yea well I'm so releaved that I have got an engine for my beloved KE25... Going to do the swap in the next week or two so will keep you guys updated on the progress... Looks like it wont be long till you see me rollin in my rolla.. :) Cheers Tally

that last one is a Mazda 1300 wagon. Found that on the net ages ago. Its a 4 door and is a JDM spec as can be seen from the unfaded paint that was behind the square numberplate. good luck restoring that thing....

What grinds my gears is my Corolla. Its a Love/Hate relationship. I miss it during the week, and when I'm not working on the weekend and I'm trying to work on it at my uncles house. Sometimes I just want to kick the shit out of it. 1. Because its not running 2. Because I can't find a decent running engine at a good price 3. Because its a shitbox 4. Because it loves eating money and 5. Because I can't stop spending money on it meh I dunno mates... Cheers Tally

If any of you have seen the Rusty Relics thread on ausrotary you would have seen a lot of old, tied and very rusty Mazda’s. Well I thought id start a thread on rollaclub for the same reason except this one will be about Corollas and other Toyotas. I have about 87 MB of Mazda Rusty Relics and only 4 MB of Toyotas so I hope others can contribute. I know most Corollas aren’t that desirable except for the TE27 and a few others but a lot of other models are real collector’s items. Very similar to Mazda’s. I hope to go on a road trip later this year once my KE25 is done and find all the hidden treasure in the bush. Mainly going to find old Mazdas but also early KE Corollas aswell. Let you in on more info once it gets closer to happening... So let me start the thread with me collection to date :locked:
