  4. Colour is nice. 15x7 0 offset will sit nice me thinks.
  5. Nice van.
  6. 4.3 is commonly available too. 4.1 3.89
  7. No. If the tappet cover gasket is leaking replace it though. Rocker cover.
  8. That would be good. Been reading some books about methanol mechanical injection *drool*. I will also get some pics of a melted titanium valve.
  9. You will need to use high temp engine enamel paint. Since your removing the head you will need to get another head gasket. If the engine is old it might be worth getting the valve stem seals replaced, You will need to get the head surfaced so its dead flat to put back on. You would probably spend $30 on paint and $30 for a new head gasket, Around $60 for the head to be surfaced and $90 for the valve stem seals to be done.
  10. You need twincam struts to fit twincam springs. Not sure if they are heavier or not. I don't think the SOHC models had a front sway bar either.
  11. I have in my ae82 twincam Rear Stock height king springs. KYB dampers. White line adjustable sway bar. Custom wheel alignment. Front Stock twincam springs. KYB dampers. Stock sway bar. And again a custom wheel alignment. Sticks to the road like shit to a blanket. Keeping the sway bar settings and wheel alignment settings to myself too many hours put in to tell.
  12. Cage looks intense.
  13. Can be made to fit but its not an easy task for you and me. A ignition only ECU would be nice. Des :P
  14. Might be but i have never seen nor heard of one.
  15. No such thing as a KE70 CSX plus VIC has a spotted thread put stuff like this in that thread.
  16. I will come with a boot full of 4AGE parts and other bits too.
  17. This is what i was told. I boat a few years ago was doing 110mph and the propeller broke and locked up causing the boat to flip, Driver was killed when he hit the water and there was a massive investigation as to why the boat flipped.
  18. I'm in and i bring a mate or two.
  19. This happened because it ran too lean. Barrel valve decided to play games.
  20. Hey Hey, The dude at work builds race engines for some boats on the side, At the moment he is building a mild 253 for a stock class boat which means crank mods only. But this was a previous motor in the unlimited N/A class. 366 Chev. Loads of head work. JE pistons. Carillo rods. Custom stroker crank. Titanium valves Methanol mechanical injection. 16:1 Compression ratio 800hp - 850hp. Bad tune = bye bye rods, valves, pistons, crank, sump, block and $15,000+.
  21. Says Datsun and Mitsubishi, Which i assume he means sigma and old lancer's in that they should fit.

    I don't own a ke70 to tempt me this time. :P

    Des' Twincam.

Found a complete silver top engine. Gearbox, Loom, Ecu, Drive shafts, Air flow meter etc. So i will be sticking that in my ae82 and selling off my bigport gear. What would be for sale soonish: Rebuilt bigport head, Done 4000km since build, Have receipt. Bigport loom. Bigport Ecu. C52 and drive shafts. 40 thou over sized 3 rib block, Rattle in number 3. complete. 3 rib block missing pistons and rods. Also got some more snap on gear too, 3/8 12 inch extension, 24 inch pry bar and a cold chisel.
  24. How many times do you change your auto transmission oil ? Not that often so i don't see the point in hunting around for one with a drain plug, Not hard to one corner down and drain into a tin. Drilling and tapping a hole wont work, The pan is too thin and there wont be much thread to hold it. Drill a hole and get some one to weld a nut around the hole. Use a magnetic drain plug with the same thread as the nut.
  25. To me thats a poor way of dealing with it, Might have fixed it but he probably doesn't know what was wrong with it in the 1st place.
