  2. things like this lol me. wondering what to do to a car for $300 to get more power but later on planning on putting a supercharged 20v in good luck
  3. cheers will look into that this weekend. hopefully get somewhere on it
  4. OK after getting ke30 back on the road was running good for a while minus hesitation when accelerating sometimes would bog down and have no power and just have to pump gas /hold throttle until it kicked back in. This would not usually happen if i took off with a bit of revs over 3k. Problem got worse after driving car hard one night home. started spluttering and then spluttered to dead. Car slowly dropped off idle. Then wouldn't start back up, eventually it did. Car started but its like the accelerator cable wasn't attached as it would immediately die afterwards. After it starting then immediately dying after a second or so i just kept cranking starter to keep it from dying off. eventually this would (with throttle right down) catch and let me rev the car but only above 3k sorta things. i was able to drive home but had to use 3rd and second and not drop revs. This has been happening ever since. I noticed fuel pump was leaking so i assumed it was at fault. Swapped for good unti and still have problem. i half replaced intake gasket as i thought might be a nasty gasket leak, found one of the threads in my head is a little stripped and wont tighten a bolt? possible problems i think carby, acceleration pump ( have carb apart, looks fine (will buy another secound hand working unit this week) only happens once slightly warmed up usually. My pcv pipe wasn't connected this hole time? please Any help at all would be great.

  7. awesome have already seen it but always good to watch. I own one of them also c110/240k, mine is a coupe rb25det etc all in good time. Corolla is practically finished so might as well get into it For anyone that might be interested? http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=12418
  8. run a smaller tyre thats my plan on my 30. I got 14x8 for the back and 14x7 for the front. The backs i have located some 195/45s and fronts ill be looking at something similar but in a 175 185 width
  9. I'm doing the other side with the top 2 leafs will show pics and pics with it in car. Thanks thatll be great.
  10. just put second to top leaf on the bottom and attained a 2inchs ish drop possibly slightly more.
  11. Hey rwd kp starlet I'm on os i seen you I'm requiemk there Ya i want it sitting just above on bumps as that is just legal height. AM I'm grey zone as i want it legal in a sense that it isnt to low but don't mind how i achieve it (illegal) Cheers for input
  12. i seriously hadn't thought of this option and it sounds the best, cheers. If i take out the bumpstops or chop them will the leafs go lower or do they sit level at the bumps?
  13. So his only option in your book is for full blown custom coilovers? due to most aftermarket springs are around the same height Chop a coil off, your springs will be quite soft anyway. Will make them a bit harder
  14. I'm mainly after my target mark as if I'm sitting on bumps thats illegal height (100m) from ground If i get my desired height with leafs i can just whip out the blocks when it comes to warrants etc.
  15. Well i have a plan lol Here in NZ 50mm blocks are the biggest you can legally use I need to do my leafs first and attain a height drop between 2-3inchs via this so i can use smaller blocks to attain my ideal height 3.75ish inch drop. How was the ride with top 2 flipped?
  16. If i flip over my top leaf what lowerage height will i achieve? I'm after roughly 2-3inchs drop from flipping leafs and will make up the other inch or so with blocks I bought reset leaf springs but they didn't even take me down an inch only (2cm) I now have 2 sets of leafs so can i incorporate a leaf from the pack to stiffen it up or to use fro the flipping? Or flipping what leafs gives what height etc? Cheers any info will help.

  18. So where are the pics at??
  19. I just sold some universal flares that didn't quite "universally" fit my ke30. Looked like to much of a hassle. I ended up just flaring my guards with a hammer and dolly set. Turned out quite good, few skims of bog got them smooth. I only done it so that i would have enough clearance once the car was lowered. Work out what wheels you want get them buy the tyres etc and fit see how much you need and go to panel beaters and see how much they'd want to flare/roll them out should be cheap or you can do it yourself like i did. There's a good chance you wont need flares if you get the right offset wheels. Although if flares are what your after you can always put them on afterwards. Make the flares the last option after you've got everything else sorted. You don't want to be cutting up your guards now then realise you could have done with out and just wrecked your car.
  20. If your running wide wheels and low you'll probably need to cut them but if your just putting them on to make it look tough (in your eyes) you wont need to. Usually rivet/bolt it onto the guard. Look where other are bolted onto. If screwed bolted and you find out you need the extra room under the guards simple take off then cut then put back on no problems. It's also probably not best if you bogged it on the for the smooth look as it tends to crack sometimes. Hope that helps.
  21. No worries mate, keep us posted
  22. Any news on this?
  23. There was a 4g63 ke30 for sale here in nz a while back so not the first :P
  24. If you come across a 5k you mgiht as well put a 5speed behind it while your doing the conversion.
  25. Hmm most likely not as you will need a rwd box. k50 - weakest t50 - strong w50 - really strong all of these will need a 4age bellhousing http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...eries/Gearboxes http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...eries/Gearboxes http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Manual_Gearbox
