  4. Cheers makes my many hours if time killing i do on here interesting again :)
  5. 9/10 user posted images on the site don't appear. Is it due to them being older images and have been deleted? Example: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...=dash&st=90 can't see the image on that page or any other pictures of his car. I looked at them a few months ago on the site :) Also i am logged in, obviously. Cheers,
  6. lol currens are quite common and very sort after in the way of performance/looks/ricer. This thread is funny youz are naming al these cars that are everyday sights. Try www.trademe.co.nz in the motors section to see our vechiles.
  7. 3K-R 1.3 16 valve dohc. only a handful were made. Based on the Toyota 3K engine of 1166cc, engine was increased to 1293cc. The result? 180ps (hp) @ 9500 rpm. Torque 14.0 kg at 7000rpm.
  8. Isn't that a 3k-r engine? looks awesome none the less.
  9. just fill your tank right up? should dilute it rightout.
  10. I'm from New Zealand sorry and don't have excess funds thats why ill be doing my own headwork
  11. i have a budget and buying this block didnt come into lol now i can't just chuck a standard 3k head on. It will only be a clean up and port matching, nothing majour. Although i havent done it before i don't see to much trouble if its just a small bit off. I'm pretty set on doing it aye wont be done for a probably a month so will give me more time to research, looks like 4 hours have been spent just now reading on how to head work. This will just be for a weekend/sometimes daily car. If I'm on a buget for this head what are minimum things i will need to do, ie valve springs, steams.. etc?
  12. I'm going to just get a die grinder and have a go at it myself, then take it to a n engineer and get it shaved a bit to up compression. The only problem I for see is possible valves/springs might not be up to par with some good revving ill be giving it.
  13. Cheers guys he rang me today and had cost the previous owner $2100 to get the whole engine done. Yes comes with cam and new clutch for the price both of those are worth it. What would a rough cost to get my head down?
  14. Keen if they get made up, probably will defo get one after someone can comfirmm they give the wank factor whine :n:
  15. I'm buying a 4k worked engine tonight guy doesnt no to much about it as he bought it off his mate who spent some money on it. It doesnt come with a head so can't really run it. What are some clear give away things to look out for that its been worked.
  16. we had a 2 door ke70 liftback at our place for a while was rusted from beyond help so got dumped. But the shit thing is 5 years ago when it was put there it was good.
  17. Hey all standard 3k with extractors and twin carbs. I'm not looking for performance just noise. What would be most aggressive cam I could go for 30/70? Will cam place understand me if i ask for this? Cam will most likely get dropped into a 4k/5k down the track somewhere I'm pretty much after lumpy cam idle specs  Cheers,
  18. Ah sorry. I while back i did a stupid topic....
  19. The 5k would be a straight swap, The 7k's sump is lower + I'm preeety sure the bonnet clearance would be tight or can't do
  20. lol that's stripped hard
