  1. cheers mate :P
  2. Dude quality build up you have here read through the pages the other day and its absoultly amazing how much effort has gone into this car very good work love it :P . Just a question I'm currently respraying my ae71 atm and would just like to know how much paint and thinner you used to paint the thing all in need is a rough estimate. Cheers
  3. swell car man, rear guards look pimp as. :P
  4. my 71 had a repco clutch exactly like that one not to sure if it came stock or it was a replacement some time during its life? I think the reason why your clutch has the irregular paint work on it is because this clutch has got extremely hot at some stage in its life. I had a extreme organic heavy duty in my 71 after my repco one had died and when i pulled the box off again my clutch had these exact particular marks like yours on it. Has this clutch been abused at any stage in its life? Mine had been abused regularly and got hot often .so maybe the same or similar thing has happened to your clutch ,probably the reason why its has these marks, this is just my opinion but i could be wrong though.
  5. shit 16.1 comp that's a lot you'd have to be spewin though.
  6. super hyper stock 4ac FTL.
  7. well ive been on this site for a while and have decided to put up my project. Car 1984 ae71. Specs- current full respray taking plate in midnight blue. Has been straightened and all rust has been removed and given sweet love to bring back its former glory motor- currently nothing. going 4age 16v small port but if you have a 4AC lying around and your in Adelaide let me know. suspension- chopped rear falcons and front Vl all round with 25 year old thrashed prostutional shocks :P but that will soon change. also white line front strut brace white line adjustable pan hard rod and tercel sway bar also RT142 corona control arms and new tie rod and rack ends that's about it .The set-up is extremely homosexual but will receive some tender cash suckling love soon. Drive line- Standard t50 box in good order with new T3 oversized shifter bush kit for that tightness. to T18 t-series rear end with locked 4.11 differential. Interior. Regretfully stripped, and generic Chinese slave labour (sports wheel and boss kit) le cheap budget model pioneer deck and 6x9 speakers. Exterior. Flared front guards tucked rears and fibreglass front lip not yet installed also ke70 square front conversion was considering going te71 quads but I'm too cheap so ill keep the square front. as for wheels there was previously ma61's supra wheels on it but when its done ill get something with offset for those pimp looks. Misc. lock spacer and soon to be painted atm is in primer. Should be finished next week some time. let me know what ya think. Pics: sorry for the horrible phone pics. Ill update when i paint this sack.
  8. if they fit dastuns they should defiantly fit.
  9. use au ed ef eb ea ford springs they are all real similar and work alright. i used to use ea fairlane springs in the rear of my ae71, as fairlanes are heavier than a standard falcon they will get a slightly heavier spring rate. I used vl commodore rear springs in the front of my 71 they seemed to fit and work well in the standard 71/70 strut.
  10. adjust both the brakes from the rear drums and the in cabin cable on the handbrake if if this doesn't work your cables probably extremely stretched. Just grab a tight one from a wrecker.
  11. hey mate check if the pads haven't worn through to metal. Also how much fluid do ya have in the master slaves could be sticking and brakes could be locked on a bit. so check and bleed ya brakes. I had a similar problem with my old cressida.
  12. this thing looks pimp the matt black greatly suits the bumpers i love it :P

  14. spotted maroon ae71 the other night with some sort of black chalangers and exhaust pertruding from the rear near the city skate park looked tuff. Also spotted a green ke11 down prospect road overrated with old timer driving.

  16. All fixed i just had to take off the manifold and get it out magnets just wouldnt work but its all good and running fine.
  17. I was putting a new carby on my 4k and i dropped a nut down the inlet manifold without realising so i started it and it seams to run fine so i don't think its done any damage i will pull off the manifold tomorrow and get it out luckily its too big to get past the valve it was running for about 10 minutes before i realsied i could hear it rattling in the inlet so i turned it off does any one think it would have caused any damage i don't really care its only a 4k but anyway?
