  1. Hey guys, Ive been checking out all the other members rides and decided to start a thread on my project. My AE82 CS sedan with the boring old 4A-C (It's not that bad i can think of worse). Basically i've wanted to clean it up then wanted to get rid of it and now i've decided to keep it (any corollas better than no corolla.) A few details 09/1988 Corolla CS Sedan 5 speed manual White, blue and soon to mix a bit of red in temporarily. Original driveline 330 000 kms and still going strong. Future plans include *4AGE smallport, then turbo/Sc when i get my blacks *Fitting unknown front bar in my avatar (have seen the exact same on a few AE86s)anyone have more info, i'll post pics of it later. Fully functional AE92 Dash All electrical features Set of 16s for cruising 19s for show lol no really New KYB Excel G struts (quoted 580 for all 4 yesterday, how does that price sound?) and fit the superlow kings i have lying in the shed. Clean up and body filler the rain sills For the moment i'm replacing the shot standard brakes with those from a standard AE92, not much difference but a fair bit fresher look and feel. window tint and all the other usual improvements The main emphasis at the moment is cutting out the bloody rust. A few photos- bit rough (1.3Mpix phone resolution) Dash and rest of the interior is coming out for AE92 conversion, sandblast and fresh coat of paint My wheels, scored 3 off the uncle-in-law when he bought his wife her corolla and he couldnt find the forth so he handed them over and i tracked the forth down. 4 for the price of 1. Currently paint stripping them for a respray, I'm thinking white. I've snapped up progress pics of the rims. 1. Too shiny damn i hate chrome 2. Paint stripped 4. Primed up ready for sanding and paint. The rear end has been stripped so i can blast it all and upgrade and respray everything. (Do rear sway bars meant for the twinky fit in the sedans?? comfirmation please) more stripping The exhaust i scored off one of my mates. And not to forget the house rattling Lightning Audio stereo setup(soon to be powered by jaycar) And lastly a few shots of the father-in-laws 2002 Beetle. Have to say i was pretty anti -volkswagen until a drive in this and a turbo jetta. Rims have slowly been growing in size, 15..16.17.18(current).. and he's now been tempted into 20s. And
  2. Just a quick question. Search gave no results. Anyone know what these are for?, theres 3 plugs wired into the loom near the battery one is two plugs together but one side has a blank plug in the socket.. Do i make sense? If you can help..please do so!!!!! if you can't ...move along lol
  3. 16s are a good choice because they allow for some decent tyre profile and fill out the guards really good where as 15s looks too small on some cars and the only tyres in a 17 are rubber band thickness, I cringe every time some one comes to work with 205/40x17 or worse 215/35x18. Also ill state that 215/35x19 will fit under the guards of ae82 sedans with a bit of body refinement but not as much as u would expect. First hand exp. Lol
  4. yeah were going to check those retards out, and laugh at the F**king weasels. especially Rebeccah-- "winge winge, no one likes me, f**king winge" (doing my best ronnie johns take on uncle Chop-Chop)
  5. stupid me shouldd have thought about the pubs first lol will check it out, and of course I'm gonna go gamble some money at conrad
  6. Hey people, the father in law's sending me and my lady to surfers for a week starting sunday and i'd like to know whats the areas got to keep us entertained (P.S. have been there before, not a newbie) were going to dreamworld and decided to test out white water world (opinions???). Staying at the Australis Sovereign on Ferny Ave Anyone been there/know what its like? ohh and are the Infinity and space walker places crap? or not. Thanks to anyone who replies. BJ
  7. you will need the fc/fe gearbox, the 4ac box cannot be used because of where the stater motor sits-fe/fc exhaust fouls 4ac starter motor, of course thats only a problem if you don't have the fe/fc box with the engine
  8. hey man, I'm wrecking that corolla and if someone wanted to take it they werent having my superlows, they are going into an ae92 in the future. I'm buying a guard roller soon and ill practise on this beast until its gone and until i can roll without doing damage. to be able to tuck them you would need a massive lip or flare, but it would look sweet
  9. this is my 215/45x17 versus 175/70x13 shot
  10. turned the strut upside down and smashed the hell out of the strut bottom plate so the inside of the tyre wouldnt scrub out
  11. Hey, i was experimenting with my AE82 sedan today and after the hammer had a argument with the rear struts i managed to fit 215/45x17 tyres on 17x7 +40 mags under the guards, of course this isnt really a good idea to run but hey they fit. This is a diameter jump from 578mm to 625 mm, 205/40x17 are 596mm and 215/35x18 are 207mm and i just checked that 215/35x19 have a 633mm diamter only 6mm more than the 215/45x17. So i thought it would probably be the most stupidest thing ever but its totally possible to put 19's on the old AE82 (may have already been done!!!?). You would need a 2 inch lip roll on front and back and a +35-38mm offset. Good show car look!!!! So i want to know what people have been able to fit under the guards of an AE92? Its a bit of a stupid post but I'm guessing there are other people who have played around with clearances compared to the 205/40x17's below they fill the guards right up the top pics are with standard springs, the last pic is with superlows.
  12. yep twin cam struts DO fit, i put Seca struts in my AE82 sedan, you just gotta pop the plastic thingy out of the 4th tower hole!
  13. Hey mate i just scored a free 4A-F and i'm ditching the 4A-C. The 4A-F and newer have intake on rear of engine and exhaust at front (radiator side) so you would encounter a problem. You could probably pick a free/cheap engine with a few problems cheaper than attempting to swap the heads. Cheers
