Hey guys, Ive been checking out all the other members rides and decided to start a thread on my project.
My AE82 CS sedan with the boring old 4A-C (It's not that bad i can think of worse).
Basically i've wanted to clean it up then wanted to get rid of it and now i've decided to keep it (any corollas better than no corolla.)
A few details
09/1988 Corolla CS Sedan
5 speed manual
White, blue and soon to mix a bit of red in temporarily.
Original driveline 330 000 kms and still going strong.
Future plans include
*4AGE smallport, then turbo/Sc when i get my blacks
*Fitting unknown front bar in my avatar (have seen the exact same on a few AE86s)anyone have more info, i'll post pics of it later.
Fully functional AE92 Dash
All electrical features
Set of 16s for cruising
19s for show lol no really
New KYB Excel G struts (quoted 580 for all 4 yesterday, how does that price sound?)
and fit the superlow kings i have lying in the shed.
Clean up and body filler the rain sills
For the moment i'm replacing the shot standard brakes with those from a standard AE92, not much difference but a fair bit fresher look and feel.
window tint and all the other usual improvements
The main emphasis at the moment is cutting out the bloody rust.
A few photos- bit rough (1.3Mpix phone resolution)
Dash and rest of the interior is coming out for AE92 conversion, sandblast and fresh coat of paint
My wheels, scored 3 off the uncle-in-law when he bought his wife her corolla and he couldnt
find the forth so he handed them over and i tracked the forth down. 4 for the price of 1.
Currently paint stripping them for a respray, I'm thinking white. I've snapped up progress
pics of the rims.
1. Too shiny damn i hate chrome
2. Paint stripped
4. Primed up ready for sanding and paint.
The rear end has been stripped so i can blast it all and upgrade and respray everything. (Do
rear sway bars meant for the twinky fit in the sedans?? comfirmation please)
more stripping
The exhaust i scored off one of my mates.
And not to forget the house rattling Lightning Audio stereo setup(soon to be powered by jaycar)
And lastly a few shots of the father-in-laws 2002 Beetle. Have to say i was pretty anti -volkswagen
until a drive in this and a turbo jetta. Rims have slowly been growing in size,
15..16.17.18(current).. and he's now been tempted into 20s.
And
