  1. I found it in the new national standards while i was looking how many reflector's I needed. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/veh...vsb_01_b.aspx#9 14. VISIBIILITY OF TRAY On every trailer which is 2.2 metres or more in width and which has a body of the tray type there must be displayed by painting or otherwise across the full width of the rearmost portion of the tray a clearly visible white or silver coloured horizontal band having a uniform depth of at least 75mm.
  2. Because of the GVM I need a breakaway system the battery on the trailer that will hold the brakes on for 15 min. and may also later on be used to power a winch.
  3. last night I Painted 75mm strip on the back white as required then fitted some reflectors. today I took over a weigh bridge. the trailer weighs 810 kg.
  4. if you want a quick diagnosis get some flexible brake line scissor type clamps, clamp the back take for a drive on a quiet road with handbrake ready , if no better swap to left front, then try right front you should be able to quickly identify where the problem is.
  5. I would first unplug the wiring harness that goes to the stalk under the steering column . if the lights are still on with ignition on remove relays and fuses until it the lights go out with ignition on.
  6. was that the part above the speedo, they seem to warp bad even with a dash mat. rest of the Car looking good keep up the good work. :y:
  7. Hey nice toy Des, you will have lots of fun in 4WD no doubt. my project vote would be A 4WD KE70 also. :y:
  8. Jon you seem to have your hands full with lots of projects, how about selling her to me ?.
  9. its not pink but more of a maroon color. but I'm a bit worried it may fade.
  10. there is one other possibility the rear brake circuit should have a residual check valve fitted so the cups don't suck in. in systems with disc and drums without a residual check valve the rear wheel cylinders will require expanders.
  11. I would use 515 loctite in-place of a gasket, you will need to be careful and check the gasket thickness does not cause any clearance or preload issues. loctite 515 is also good enough to fix porous housings with gearbox's.
  12. jack up and slip off the calipers check for movement of the disc via wheel bearing and worpage, also check caliper mounts etc. something there is retracting the caliper whilst driving. that is all it can be. if the calipers were sticky the brakes would be dragging.
  13. wow that is one clean engine bay, I also love the taco it looks like it belongs there. good luck with the 5 speed conversion.
  14. I have the same problem, Its all good as long as they are all protected by being stored undercover.
  15. Could be either AMI or japan built still in 1978 too hard to tell without investigating Australian content used on your car
  16. Maybe try Checking these raven, 1 maybe one of your rubber brake hose that is "ballooning" when the brakes are applied. 2 Air still in system 3 tandem safety valve needs resting 4 front wheel bearings too loose. 5 Excessive disc run out.
  17. Today I finished wiring, I was not happy with the paint so I rubbed back and repainted.
  18. I love the ke70 limo thanks Trev. Today I wired up part of the trailer fitted wiring in conduit fitted breakaway switch, mounted a few lights etc.
  19. Trev, you got any pics of that? at least i will own a long trailer ready to transport such a project.
  20. LOL of corse. :(
  21. Thanks for the comments, hopefully I can add a Rolla project thread soon for all to enjoy too thinking of a steached KE limo, just have to finish my current car project first.

  23. Good project Cassey Look forward to seeing some pics of the progress.
  24. Hey looking good :( that is a fantastic job you should be proud, Are T18's very common there?
  25. the Air cond kit came with a decal kit with stickers all-ready mentioned also for the two rear vent windows blue with Nippon denso air written on them. the whole system can be fitted in about 4 hours.
