  1. The problem is that they need to be light truck rated as I am carrying 3550KG. I bought 5 rims all-ready the same as my Ute. pictured in previous post with the shackle pin close is my spare tyre off my Ute. the plan was to run light truck tyres & rims the same as my Ute so i can interchange if needed. Pictured these are the rims I'm hoping to use The R411 Duravis is a tyre designed for the Holden One Tonne Ute.   2. Day 6, 2 big problems, 1 wheel off set , 2 spring shackle bolt almost rubbing on tyre. I spent a lot of time today working out how to overcome these problems, I ordered the axle spring set to suite holden vy tonner rims,
  3. have you checked the oil in diff for metallic bits and level? I would suggest using a good brand 85 140 gear oil will quieten it down and also make it last longer.

  8. looks good, I would cut back with wet and dry ultrafine using a sanding block with water then use a hand cutting compound with a rag. I have found a elecric buff is just too coarse for a learner like myself.

  10. did you try using a window washer pump onto the bleeder and reverse inject clean fuild into the system?
  11. I have been thinking about how i can accommodate. The regulations say brake intensity must be adjusted from drivers finger tips AKA a brake controller. I was wondering if there is a remote control device that could be fitted ,to save a brake controller being fitted to every car i use to tow with.

  15. day 4.6 3 more hours on the trailer today, I fabricated a plate for the jokey wheel, welded draw bar and drilled and bolted hitch
  16. Good choice i have painted many cars in acrylic. 12 months back i tried two pack, i found it a nightmare. look forward to seeing pics

  18. the trailer is getting heavy, the coupling is rated at 3.5 tonne so i will have to put over a weigh bridge and then work out my carrying capacity.. for axle placement i used 1/2 inch back of center for every foot of trailer. if there is to much weight on the draw bar with a short car I will just put the car back a bit.

  21. I hope they did not weld on the car, it may have fry-ed a few sensors, also silicon has been known to cause problems with sensors, or i a rag in the inter-cooler hose.
  22. Ring up a tyre shop to get a quote. tell them What size wheels are on your car in metric see the response you get. harden up WE talk imperial still for tyre sizes, trailers sizes 6x4 7x4 8x5 thats the way it is.
  23. day 4.3 I have spent 3 hours after work this week will go hard on this project in the new year. I have another 4 days off :lmao: but on call again :)

  25. SA trailer and chassis on port Wakefield road, GVM 1600kg per axle 10" electric brakes x with springs and everything to hang them it came to $2793
