You got another bargain Travis, clean the interior with Ajax powder mixed with water, then Armouroil it, to get rid of the smell burn incests in there.

Do they put salt on the roads there? It is a sure way to rust out a good rolla.

Jip probably saw the buckle loaded in the trailer and got excited. :P I put Ke 55 seat-belts in my ke30 as-well I found then more user friendlily. good luck with the project :(

Welcome Chris, you have a nice clean kE55 there you will find the built date on the compliance plate riveted on the firewall, Are you from SA?

This van is so clean, hard to find a clean commercial as they are normally knocked around good score :P . I love the wheels too, keep us posted of the progress.

I found out that Red arc breakaway controllers put the lights on, some brands don't. Interesting a 800kg trailer maybe with 3100kg loaded in the middle of the road at night no lights on, maybe in a 100 km/ph zone. I could fit a diode to stop power feed from the brake light circuit. I am starting the new project this weekend after a massive shed clean up.

It would be a lot of work you would need to cut up a 2 door ke30 to get pillars doors quarters probably a lot easier to find a 2door ke30 to start with and transfer your gear into that car.

Thanks everyone, today I got the trailer inspected and registration completed. I need to find out one thing, there is a breakaway system fitted to the trailer so if disconnected the brakes come on. Do the brake lights need to come on as well as the brakes? I asked the trailer place that inspected my trailer but he really was out of his depth with even placement of reflectors.

I think that ke30 bonnets look the best, but they are getting hard to find, the stainless strip on the front is even harder to find in good condition.

Get an old school on car wheel balancer and do the balance on the car. or use some balance powder.
