    My Ke20

Track too wide, too low. I've had several cars since this, alot of VW's, Mercedes and of course more Toyotas.
  2. Its four wheel drums. The fronts are the issue. Ive got all four being rebuilt, a bearing changed and a new booster done for $1200 now so that will have to do. Rear is air bagged, just need to do the front now.
  3. It is pretty awesome. Whats not awesome is $2000 to rebuilt the brakes as parts are not available anymore. Shit.
  4. Some bastard stole my rear springs. Stay tuned for restoration.
  5. Inspirational Bump
  6. Would you like to be the coolest person on your street? Well this is your chance. Up for sale is my 1971 Volvo 144. I’ve only owned this car for a very short time and I don’t want to sell it but something that I cannot say no to has come up for sale, my loss your gain. Anyway about the car: 1971 Volvo 144 Delux. 3 Speed Colum shift (Can you say awesome?) 2.0L 4 Cylinder 4 Wheel disc brakes Things I’ve changed since I’ve owned it: - Rebuilt Tail shaft (had a nasty vibration previously) - Service -Whitewalls - Painted Wheels - Painted tail light surrounds and boot trim - Lots of general tidying up - Made some patches for sun damaged sections of seats. - Moved front numberplate higher Body / Exterior The body is in very good condition for age, it’s a very straight car with a couple of tiny dents here and there. Paint is very good except for the roof (faded) and a couple of marks on the passenger side. Only a couple of very small bits of rust, nothing deep or bigger than a 5c piece. I’ve just painted the wheels and installed new whitewalls, and removed the grill badges. Interior Inside the car is very tidy with the exception of sun damage to the seats. I’ve made some average patches to cover the damage but a seat re-trim would see the interior almost perfect. Doors trims are perfect, dash is uncracked and it’s a comfortable place to be. Engine / Mechanics Fantastic condition mechanically. Starts first time always and ticks over very smoothly for an older motor. Very simple mechanics (much like an older corolla) and great build quality. Sits on the road very well and shifts very smoothly. Could be a daily driver easily. This is an extremely uncommon car and would suit anyone from a Volvo enthusiast to someone who wants a good daily driver or to someone who wants to do something completely different. This car has so much potential there it just needs someone to change a few small things. I had planned to put on wide Holden wheels (they share the same bolt pattern) and lower it all round but never got the chance. Price is $2500ono Contact Troy via text or call on 0431 290 861 Located 30min North of Adelaide
  7. Its surprisingly got alot of interest. These old Mercs are starting to become popular.
  8. Hey guys I have a 1977 W123 Mercedes 280E for sale. 1977 Mercedes W123 280E 2.8L Straight 6 – Mechanical Injection 4 Speed Auto New Whitewalls Air Con Central Locking AM/FM Radio Electric Ariel Completely Original Body / Exterior: Very clean and tidy outside, paint is original and still has great shine. A few bubbles of rust have developed, a little behind the rear arches, one about the front bumper. Brand new whitewalls have been installed and I have stripped the paint off the hub caps and polished them. Car is very straight apart from a couple of minor dents here and there. Interior: Interior is very clean, seats are wonderful and very comfortable, very good condition. Carpet is ok except for tear in drivers side and behind driver’s seat. Some small hair-line cracks in dash. Everything is untouched and original. Every dial and instrument works perfectly, even the central locking works perfectly and does not leak a bit. Mechanical: 295,000km on the car. So it’s just run in for a Mercedes. Runs extremely well, shifts beautifully and overall is a pleasure to drive. Rear section of exhaust is brand new. Sits on 110 very nicely. Good battery etc. Fantastic car all round. Not perfect but a very tidy example of a W116 and a car just waiting to become someone’s weekend cruiser. No money to spend, jump in and cruise away. Has 2 months of rego left on her. Looking for $2900ono. Located in Northern suburbs of Adelaide. Contact me via text or call on 0431 290 861. Troy

    No Spark!

How could something of changed while driving? As far as i understand when the points are open and the circuit isnt completed I should get 12V + on both sides?
  10. Ok guys having trouble with my Mercedes at the moment. No its not a Toyota but its still pretty simple. Basically i have no spark at all. I have none at the plugs, and none coming out the high tension lead of the coil. I do have power on both sides of the coil. I've tried spare coils I've had lying around and it doesn't change anything. What else could be causing this lack of spark? Points are opening and closing and i have tried a couple high tension leads. Help i want to drive my comfortable car again! Troy
  11. Realistically you will be targeted for other things first. Too low, rims to wide etc before they pick on finder mirrors.
  12. You'll find that there not legal at all unfortunantly. Even with springs mounts and electrics, well at least in SA.
  13. If you want something cheap and comfortable an older mercedes makes a great daily. Nice soft suspension and plenty of get up and go if it needs for a daily. Not to mention your look totally VIP haha.
  14. Keep it stock! It looks damn clean. Maybe some white walls and tasteful mods?
  15. Got my Girlfriends VW Bettle for sale! 73 VW Beetle "Superbug" 1500cc 4 Speed Rare 15x6 chrome rims Eyelids New Pedders front springs New Whitewalls New Clutch cable New shifter cupling Overall clean and tidy, the pictures make the paint look amazing but its nothing flash up close, it has some fading on the drivers side. Rust wise very minimal, some small spots here and there, none in guards or doors some towards the outside of windscreen. Dent wise quite minimal a few shopping trolley dents here and there. Mechanically fantastic, runs well and starts every time. Revs nicely and shifts quite well. Leaks a small amount of oil as many VW's do. Usually an easy fix with the engine dropped out. Ive put in brand new front sprints since the pictures as the old ones were sagged and starting to warp. Interior is very tidy. Brown cloth/vinyl seats with no rips. Could do with a bit of a clean but pretty tidy. Carpet is good and dash has a dashmat. Will have some new pictures up within a couple days. Any questions call Troy on 0431 290 861. $3000.00 ono
  16. Quick update guys, I've been busy fixing a few things mechanically. Biggest drama I had was an annoying weak spark issue that turned out to be the incorrect coil. Changes: -Stripped paint off hubcaps -Double Bumpers -Awesome static strap -Bead seat cover -New parcel shelf I brought this one because it Drives and Runs (with some recent improvements) amazing. They are cheapish to purchase but get a good one mechanically as parts can be costly, but looked after they will run forever. Standard springs are reset so they retain standard rate and drives well. Don't have part numbers on hand but will grab them when I'm under the car next. Nope didn't sell the W124, that's now my girlfriends car! So I still get to drive her :)
  17. Hey guys got bored with my W124 300CE (Newish cars just aint me) so I've picked up another W114 Mercedes to use as a daily! 1974 W114 Mercedes Benz 280E - M110 2.8L Injected Straight 6 (185HP or 137KW) - 4 Speed Automatic - Air Con - White Walls - Curb Feelers - Reset springs approx 3-4" lower all round - Adjustable Koni Reds in rear, Munroe GT Gas in fornt. Overall a pretty tidy car. Its been sprayed about 10 years ago and shows a few signs of rust but nothing major at this stage. It drive absolutely beautiful (despite being quite low) and is Mechanically A1, hence why i brought it as a daily. Plans are to keep it tidy (needs some TLC interior wise) and add a couple of minor bits and pieces. I've already done quite a bit to it.
  18. Honestly not alot! I've been working very hard and haven't had as much time as I would like for cars lately. I've been driving the panel the last couple weeks for the start of summer! Plans are to get the leaves reset, whitewalls freshened up and then later a nice 5K/5 Speed. Your talking the Sak Wags? Are you nuts??
  19. Don't cut those beautiful guards! The fronts will stick out about 25-30mm while the rears about 15mm, so probably pushing it a little for a daily even with alot of stretch. Also with flares they wont look aggressive unless you use spacers. So if you haven't purchased them yet try to find something that will fit perfect!

    Spotted

Awesome buy! I LOVE that car.
  21. I figured I had no chance of getting in. I was always going to join in the cruise but I figured it would be nice the has the rollaclub guys together for it, although it sounds far too difficult to get everyone together.
