  1. Hey guys been playing around with a logo of mine, I can't get it to look quite right. Any suggestions? Am I trying to squeeze too much in? This is the most simple version, I will make a more 'styled' version once I've decided the final benchmark.
  2. I'll come down in my KE26. Ill be there for sure.
  3. Sounds like a plan, I just need to tidy things up a little bit more and then shes looking sweet, just need some wheels at some point. Maybe we should try to organise another SA corolla cruise? hahaha I can't say no to getting these things, this one, my celica and my merc are truly exceptional. Then my beetle and type 3 square arnt bad either!
  4. The guard has been fixed! Found a panel beater that could paint the guard in acrylic so it matches the original paint as best it can. Two-pack would of looked way too glossy. Apparently wasn't a fun colour to match, and its not prefect but its quite close. I still need to play around with getting it lined up better, especially along the door line. Luckily the I bent the bumper back to almost perfect as well! Last thing was I added a 50/60's style RAA badge, I'm not convinced yet but will rock it for a little while. Before: After Guard removal, only some surface rust: [ Finished with all stripping:

Its my old 20, SLO-020. Its a flat canary yellow.
  7. Havent taken any interior shots as I'm currently playing with the shifter linkages and replacing the clutch cable so there is crap everywhere. Interior is bog stock brown cotton with vinyl backing, no rips however! Haha forgot everyone called these fattys. Not the most popular bug but at the price i paid it was a steal. I'm kinda hoping i can sort out finances so I don't have to sell the W115, its priced much higher than most W115's so i don't think its going to move super fast :)
  8. 73 VW Beetle 1500cc 4 Speed 15x6 chrome rims Hey guys thought i would share some pictures of my girlfriends new car. I picked it up for her the other day, we are going to fix it up together slowly. Got the car 'not running', it just needed a new battery! Runs like a charm, just needs some work with the linkages and the clutch cable snapped on my the other day. No its not the nicest model beetle but it was an absolute bargain and she loves it. Since we have had it I've fiddled with the splines and dropped the rear a tiny bit and I've lower the front a couple inches. Then we polished the car and polished the rims and put some Port-a-walls on her.
  9. For Sale 1976 W115 230.4 Mercedes Benz -68,000 Original KM -2400cc Four cylinder -T-bar 4 Speed Automatic -14” Whitewalls -Amber spotlights (brackets made as not to alter bumper) -Vacuum central locking -Early Steering wheel -Curb Feelers -Bowls Hat included -Great tires -Additional Brake lights -Tinted windows Hey guys I’m looking at selling my Mercedes, I really don’t want to sell it but I thought it would put it out there to see if anyone is interested. It gets so many looks and so so much positive attention but I’ve hit some serious business issues and I’m considering a change of career and may need a few dollars to back me up. I purchased the car from its original owner about a year ago, it had been sitting in their shed on stands since 1995, I turned the key and it started no worries! The only reason they sold it was because they were moving to a retirement home and couldn’t take it with them, as I drove off with the car the lady cried and I have since remained in contact with her. Body: Exterior is fantastic for age, a couple minor spots of rust but nothing major, paint is very easy to blend so could look overrated for under $500-600. The paint is original and is still in amazing condition, fantastic quality paint is used on the old Mercedes. The top of one guard was scratched from factory, this got repainted by the dealer but has developed minor crow’s feet now. There is a couple of minor dents here and there but the whole car is very straight. Chrome is fantastic as well are the colour coded hubcaps. Interior: Looks stunning for its age, all seats and trims are A1 condition, no rips, no tears and no stains or marks. Beautiful cream vinyl. The dash is fantastic apart from the pad which houses a couple of cracks but it covered by a dash pad. Carpet is quite good and I have fitted an early steering wheel which suits it perfect, the original comes with the car. The car has the headrests removed in one photo but they are included and are A1 condition. Has air conditioning and works well, just needs a re-gas. Mechanics: The 2.4L runs well, really don’t miss a beat. Although it’s in dire need of a tune, it hasn’t been tuned since 1994! I just never got around to it and I drove it only on special occasions. Auto feels tight and doesn’t slip. Suspension feels like a cloud, fantastic ride quality. Overall an amazing car! Could be used as a daily as it’s great on fuel, a weekend cruiser as it looks damn cool or the coolest thing on the streets if it got air bagged. Looking at $5000ono you won’t find a better example getting around. It’s truly a joy to drive. Call me on 0431 290 861 or PM me here Troy
  10. Lots of different styles you can do! You might struggle to widen the 12" wheels however, nobody will have the correct outer rim size available. Hope you enjoy it mate!
  11. Its all water that was in the spare wheel well, it had about 0.5L of 12 year old stale fuel in the tank! I recommend a sheet to protect the roof paint.
  12. Step 1: Get your tractor and tip your car on its roof. Step 2: Bash and throw things at the car. Step 3: Remove various parts. Step 4: Bin
  13. Took the visor off, I think it looks much better, cleans up the lines a little. Pictures: I love low, but I'm over super low with my daily drive. Got the moldings from supercheap of all places! As much as i would love to make this JDM style I'm not going to since thats what i have my celica for, this is too original to f@$k around with and get defected. Currently stock yes, although I will improve that shortly. This is my fourth KE2x, and hands down the best one so far.
  14. I like a little bit more tyre for walls ;)
  15. All good he was just pissed off haha, didn't want to get you into trouble with work! Yeh mate with the 5kg's in it. Drive a hell of alot better, just need to get the tracking correct now. Wont be 14's, i think 14's are a little too big imo. Some wide 13's would suit it down to a tee.
  16. Ive thought of a few things like that but its just so original that i don't want too mess anything up to much. Since its my Daily it wont be going low, maybe a tiny bit lower on rear? But I'm actually pretty happy with where it is. I brought the car with a smashed up front guard, its been like it for ages. I have a spare guard that I'm going to get painted up to match the original paint as best as possible.
  17. Well thanks to Nick I'm at the proud owner of a KE26 Panel van! Alot of you guys will know this car and know how good it actually is. The car is truly in exceptional condition. Looks to be original 100,000km. Body is fantastic with only a couple dents and no rust apart from very minor surface rust. Interior is amazing with an uncracked dash and dark blue NZ spec interior. Mechanics are good just need a few adjustments here and there. Since I brought the car from Nick i have: - Lowered the front with brand new 5kg 70-80mm lower springs (thanks Ryan) - New body molds down sidelines - Chrome wheel arch molding - Rubbed away alot of surface on the stone tray and other various spots. Just disappeared was an easy fix. - Painted the inner guards with black sound deadener - General Interior tidy up Future Plans? FIX THE BUNG GUARD (which some people will know about) I want the 'tough stock' look with this car. Its a daily so I don't want too much attention, biggest change will be widened 13" Mazda steelies with an interesting paint scheme. Will also get a rear venetian and possibly take off the visor? I haven't decided if it suits the Van. Anyway heres a few pitures, will have interior shots up shortly, my camera battery died!!
  18. Awesome work as always man, you must have some coin to be doing all this at your age! Did you get the 2TG cover power coated? Looks f@$king great!

  20. Bit of an update, didn't make it to AJP as i moved house on the Saturday and just didn't get time to get the car ready! Lately I have: - New Plates! - Lowered front 40mm - Installed side body molding - Chrome guard molding - Painted Dash Original Yellow - Removed Dash pad and painted under section (will do until I get a new dash pad) Also the paint has been rubbed back to matte, this wont be for everyone but it cleans the car up quite a bit, even if it doesn't seem in photos.
  21. Ok so I figure i need to run this diagram minus the top relay as this person was trying to switch hes headlights off with ignition. Correct? Ohh by the way for people interested I rang vehicle inspection to ask if running four low beams was illegal in SA and the guy said no worries at all :)
  22. Hey guys I'm going to have a go at wiring my quad headlights on my ke20 so that i have 4 sets of low beams and 4 sets of high beams. Is there anyone that can run me through how I'm going to go about this? Currently i just have the outside lights wired high/low as per standard and nothing to the inner headlights as of yet. It has been done, although the pictures no longer work in that thread! http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthread.php?4873-How-to-swap-in-QUAD-Semi-Sealed-H4-Headlights-(old-celica-etc)&highlight=headlights
  23. So who's confirmed for this event? Me and my shit 20 are entered haha
  24. All good man, not super stressed. Nah was easy, i used the entire TA22 front assembly, lights, backing plates, grille.
  25. Quick update on the ke20 - Quad headlights (still not finished) - Double whitewalls - Wicked cool mudflaps - All back interior - Celica steering wheel (it was lying around) Still needs a few things done, tidy up of somethings and most importantly waiting on some front springs to be made up, dropping the front 40mm.
