  1. learn to love it
  2. SA is very different to the eastern states. MY advise, start with a regoed or registerable shell, regency and old cars don't mixed well. Ive been several times with numerous cars, each time is has taken atleast two visits (which now cost almost $200 each) plus a repair bill of over $1K (usually closer to 1.5-2K) and i did most of the basic work myself.
  3. unfortunately i don't think ill be in Adelaide for this, if i am i will definitely attend
  4. oh the joys of old cars haha
  5. not genuine toyota, brand new from Phils Rotaries, bought through ebay. $30+postage can't really complain. NEW PREMIUM PLATES!!! slimline front, can be seen halfway down the previous page and a "square" rear plate :bash: suits the rear end of the '20 HEAPS better than a normal plate IMO

    Spotted

  8. Galant looked very very nice. looking forward to seeing how the rolla turns out now that ive seen the standard of car you produce
  9. goodluck fitting anything wider than a 7.5-8 inch rim inside a stock gaurd, I'm running 7's on the back, outer guard lip clearance is minimal (just enough so that it doesnt scrub) and ive got about an inch of clearance on the inner gaurds/leaf spring. All ive doen is roll the lip of the rear guards 7's front and 8's rear will fit with the right offset and minor rolling/flaring of the guards
  10. yeh thats what the g/box xmember mod will be for, so i can raise the exhaust up so its not so low. Should be able to raise it a couple of inches  NEVER going to happen mate! the car has been build as a sleeper and that is how it will stay, sorry to disappoint
  11. it was already pretty dented/flattened before, but its definitely flattened out the bottom of that section of pipe. Not to worry thats section is getting changed soon anyway. I'm more concerned about the rest of the engine set-up due to the fact the engine in basically solid mounted  Havnt had a chance to have a good look at it yet, ill take it to the workshop this week and chuck it on the hoist to sus it out. Fingers crossed its all good, pretty sure it is cos i didnt have any problems after it happened
  12. remove numberplates asap please!
  13. happy bday ryan, hope you had a good day!
  14. Couple of recent pics from the bday cruise over the weekend, updates coming soon :) Only a keen eye will spot it.... sitting in the loby pub carpark
  15. What happens when you drive 6k's on a dirt road with a flat tyre, 3 dudes on the car and two sitting on the roof??? Some of the locals getting there groove on out on the dancefloor at the local pub!
  16. halfway to my mates place, its all north up the dirt road from here Alot of nothing The pad! you can just see the peak of the veranda..... I got lifted up there on the tractor and jump off onto a matress haha
  17. its more than MASSIVELY uneven surface thats got my car completely airbourne that I'm concerned about
  18. Parked at loby What can your keen eye see??? Sorry thats all i took
  19. to be honest by that time of the day i was tired and sick of just waiting around doing nothing. Id had 1.5hrs sleep and already driven almost 200k's home from the country before heading out to the cruise. I was ready to go home, freeway=quick and easy  Trying to get my computer to work so i can upload the pics, didnt take many though. Hope everybody enjoyed themselves, and thank you respecting my house. I think the only thing broken was a (cheap) solar light in the back garden. Turns out my car really does fly...........in more ways than one haha
  20. wouldnt mind avoiding that first little section of road though.......
  21. well get taping and painting missy! its only ur mum bday, so you don't really have a good excuse at to why you havnt done it today lol
  22. ill get some pics up asap
  23. go see drew at AAA exhausts for the bends. Tell him the boys at MRE (mildren's) recommended you and he'll look after you
  24. killing the fuel pump may sound like a good idea, the car will still run for a few k's before dying. My concern is that this will cause damage to the motor due to leaning out as the car runs out of fuel that is in the lines. Smartest kill "switch" ive seen was wiring into a screw under the dash, you simply placed your finger on the screw which ment you acted as the earth and completed the circuit and you then started the car. Almost impossible to pick as long as you keep all your wiring hidden/neat
  25. bring her with you on the cruise, you'll have plenty of time in the car to talk
