  1. its all these little things that people don't think about that make the appearance of a car fair neater, well done!
  2. now that you've heard about the floor clearance issues from other experience will you be modifing your floor to allow for more travel???
  3. :hmm: i can if you like, but there really isnt much to look at. The 5-10mm lip that is at right angles to the guard has simply be bent up (so instead of the guard having an L shape its now a U shape, if that makes sense). See here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=27050 for pics of what i got done, although mine was done using another method Took to the car up the freeway to clear it out a bit, havent had a chance to do it since before the diff conversion. Absolutely loving driving it again, make all the hard work/hassles/money spent worth it
  4. some neg offset rims suit fix the scrubbing problem (?)
  5. new studs and nuts plus labour (which i got cheap because i know the guys and paid cash) was $165, rolling the guards came at addition cost :hmm: EDIT: i got the workshop to do it because it was just easier, dropped it off in the morning, walked 10 mins to work and simply went to pick it up after work. Worked out better anyway, i earnt more in the time it would of taken me to do it than it cost for the boys a the shop to do it plus i didnt have to get dirty lol
  6. not likely! thats a LONG way from my house and the meet point isnt far from mine. I will take you for a spin before the cruise though, so make sure your there by 9 ; )
  7. today i got new 1/2 inch wheel studs put in the rear and new wheel nuts. Old ones for fairly trashed and the old wheel nuts where HUGE and stuck out too far. Also got the guards rolled, no more scrubbing. Brakes are all good too. My adjustable strut tops arrived last week, so they will be going in along with new shocks and springs. Ryan/SLO-030 ill more than likely be hitting you up to get the springs made at your work.
  8. you have to come! If your cars not ready in time ill come pick you up and you can ride with me :P
  9. how about you grab the phone book and then pick up the phone and make some calls :)
  10. goodluck getting me to post up a cruise route on a public forum....... You will be informed on the night
  11. haha what a joke, ive done it a dozen times without using spring compressors. The top hat hardly pops off the top when undone. If the strut is out the car, the spring is only just captive and under hardly any pressure so it wont fly off when undone. Ive even managed to put struts back together without spring compressors.
  12. Meetpoint: Burnside village Carpark, corner of Portrush Road and Cator Street Use whereis.com if you don't know where to go :P Time: 9PM, leaving by 9:30PM sharp! Date: Friday 27.2.09 I am meeting up with Henry (KE20ME), hopefully he will have his car back, for a catch up and a small cruise. Thought i would extend the offer to anybody else who would like to come. All are welcome

  21. haha yep!!! in my car you can hear the pumps over the exhaust at idle. Alot of the time the second pump is simply used as a fail safe incase one pump stops working. It really is overkill unless your running over 200rwkw, but i personally like doing things once, which means doing it right the first time. More expensive initially but definitely cheaper in the long run :D Looking forward to seeing dyno results, GOODLUCK!!!
  22. the VLT pumps should supply more than enough fuel, basically the same set-up that i have in my car. Mate had the same set-up in a S2 RX7 with a bigger turbo, made 215rwkw and the fuel set-up was supply ample fuel for it
  23. :D yeah pretty much exactly what i do, guys at the petrol station much think I'm a poor c**t who can only afford the min. amount of fuel needed Yeah i think ive fixed the brakes, took it for a drive today and they were perfect. Ill leave it overnight and see how they are tomorow, fingers crossed there fixed.
  24. I'm not counting my pennies till its in my bank account...........
