Even if the correct pressure is there from the pump, a s/h clogged efi fuel filter can cause this too :D If not replaced new - Do it ! :)

Where the green circle is, is the vacuum actuator for the Auto choke. There is a neoprene diaphram inside it and they fail after 30 years. Try Repco or a carby shop for replacement ones :)

Most likely cause was the gaskets between the Weber and the adapter plate and the manifold :) Loads of air being sucked in with also the possibility of clogged idle jets

my 2t did the same thing, changed out the point, re-gapped the plugs and put a new condensor on and she was all sahweet

The theory is that 3 are going to be restored - Maybe 4 of them, dunno yet? Have the parts but lacking the enthusiasm atm :P

UPDATE... Well its been ovr 2 years since we bought rolla girls lil beast BUT its back on the road n angry ! :( Now my Dads daily n he's 47 :D Resprayed, less pimped wheels & hunting the odd WRX - lols And no longer for sale

if all else fails, ive got a couple of spare ra40 axles up here in brisbane if it gets desperate

instead of doing the conversion how about you just buy the car that already has the conversion done? I've had the car for nearly 2 years, joy to drive

It only took me a weekend to fix all the damage to the car, had it back on the road for a little bit just to see how she drove etc then took her off the road to fix all the little things up. 2 weeks ago we finally finished the paintwork after 12months :jamie: We started to paint her morning of what now is known as Super Cell Sunday, spare of the moment she was left outside and got hail damage, fixed all the little dings and dents and final coat went on :bash: enough yibber yabbing heres some pics, what do ya think? will get some more pictures when i have more movement in my arm ( tore my shoulder 3 days ago whilst at work ) Also this is for sale, pm me for more info that i have not yet put in this post ( too lazy atm to write up a for sale thread )
