Woah clean as Ben! Will sure look out for you now I've seen pics.
-
It makes me sooooo angry to read this. I would have been struggling so hard not to punch that loser on your behalf. :)
-
Ha ha, I was the same. Thought about offering them money but reminded myself that I have 3 corollas sitting in the driveway already and not one of them looks the way I want it to yet! Missed you at the show and shine :lolcry:. Met Martin with your old rolla. That is one sweet ride. :hmm: Will you be at the Victor Harbour cruise?

Rightio, well see you there then guys. About to go and polish the ksev now. Unfortunately won't have the 25 there but it'll definitely be at the southern cruise and might have a mate driving the old crusty 82 down as well. -
Really love what you've down with Tabitha. First you save her life and then you treat her nice. She's looking really good. I'm so jealous that you have two stockie steering wheels. Share the love, I don't even have one! :lolcry:

Better be more than 5 people though or it'll be such a let down. Are you guys from south still planning on being there? -
I would love to see more cruises and promise to organise something really neat in the new year. Maybe I'm just sad but I would happily wake up at any hour of the day to see a whole bunch of neat rollas. :lolcry: Raven, cruise and drive-in sounds awesome.

Mate, that is hot! You have got to come cruising sometime. Whereabouts in the Adelaide Hills are you? I'm in Banksia Park :lolcry:

So who's definitely going? We're up in the north already so will be at Munno Para shopping centre if a few of you are turning up. -
Adam, you're not flooding my thread at all! I'll take a close up photo of the badge for you, Ben. It's really wierd. At first I just thought it was an old JAF badge that had faded but it says something about Scotland... Really wanna see your car. Are you going to be at the cruise tomorrow? I saw this cornflower blue ke20 two days ago. The couple who owned it were in their 50s. It's only the second car he's ever owned. Bought it in 1970 for $2000. I thought of you straight away. You would've loved it!

Sorry guys, forgot to check my thread and noticed you've all been chatting on here... Soooo, yep I'm keen to find those lenses. Anyone got any links? I've fitted the dodgy ones just while I'm taking it over the pits. Got the little beast running well yesterday and took it to Regency for a look. They said to peel the tint off, change back to a stockie steering wheel and fix the ignition barrel and we'll be all ready to register it. Will get it done next week in time for the cruise on the 29th. :hmm: Not sure when she was resprayed but they did a lovely job. It has to be quite a few years ago because there are a few little scratches and a chip or two. If anyone saw the rx3 at the last small car Sunday, that's close to the quality of this paint job but mine is a bit tidier. Hah hah, it makes me so happy to say that. Not sure what to do under the bonnet. It's not a stock car so I'm not fussed on trying to keep things original but I'd like to do something era specific. The 5k idea is an option, or a 2tg maybe. :lolcry:

Have you got a thread for your van? I'd love to have a look. Yeah it's pretty overrated. Few little things to do but nothing to complain about considering it's 25 years old! Adam, Cheers for those pics. Love your fender mirrors too. Where'd you find them?
-
Ha ha, thanks guys. :hmm: Reckon if I have to roll the lip, I might as well flare the guards though. I either want to leave the guards stock as a rock or do a really decent job. Our panel beater says to bring him the wheels and he'll fit them to the car by cutting sections, pulling the guard out and welding in new wedges. He's awesome though so it won't be a dodgy job. We are hoping to fit 15x8s with about 3-3.5inches of polished dish. Does anyone have photos of some of these - offset wheels that have been fitted with minimal work? I'm open to being convinced. :lolcry:
-
Do you mean match the window seals to the door seals? I totally agree. The window ones are so chunky!
-
Thanks :jamie: Does anyone know what width 15 inch rim we can fit with the stock guards? Will 7.5 inch fit or is that still too wide? That's about as narrow as we want em, otherwise we have to live with less dish. Pretty keen to do reversible mods in order to keep it as original as possible though. All the stockie parts will be carefully stored in the shed.
-
I can't believe it either. Apparently heaps of people called about it but nobody turned up. We were so excited when we saw it that we hardly negotiated on the price because we felt bad for ripping off a pensioner. Lol. I like the windows but want different seals around them.
-
Nah, that was my old ae82. :jamie: I killed it... Thought I'd better keep the same username though.

Gotta love that blue vinyl and the AM only radio!
-
Definitely the Haggle ads. The dwarf makes me sooooo mad. Also that new corolla ad with the cats and the "What's frustration" ad where the kid says "Maybe she can do my homework". Grrrrr... Oh yeah, the AAMI one with the stupid boy playing with that remote control car! Love that ad on the radio with the guy interviewing the jockey though. That cracks me up. This too: Funny Does anyone else hate the baby nurofen advert. Hubby gets mad because one of the babies is so ugly.

Update On Ballie Growing 31 Jan 09*pic Up!!* Page 1

How gorgeous! My hubby wanted to call our new puppy "Sack" so that he could walk out the backyard and say "Has anyone seen my Sack". Lol Anyway his name's Rivet. Bailie is very cute. :jamie: -
Bought this off a retiree a couple of weeks ago. He bought it in 1990 and has babied it since then. When we found it, the van had been sitting in the garage for months. Came with thousands of dollars in maintenance receipts. Poor guy got ripped off bad by his mechanic. Initial plans are to fit quad headlights and subsequent front guards, wheels, flare the guards, tint windows, new windscreen, straighten bumpers a bit and add some fixed back seats. Hope you like.
-
Ben, just read this. So sorry to hear about you losing Josh. I can't even imagine how shocked you must still be. Thinking of you.
-
Ebony, that's one hot as panelvan! Here's ours: Name: Jordan and Kim Car: Ke70 Panelvan Motor & Driveline: 4kc, 4speed Suspension & Brakes: All standard Wheels & Tyres: Stockies Interior: Standard blue vinyl at the moment. Pair of OMP fixed backs to go in Body: White Other: Stock AM Radio. :jamie:

Sorry to hear about the setbacks! Those different engine numbers are a bit of an issue. Sounds like the mechanic has put in a 2tgte instead of a 4agte. What an idiot!! You must be rope-able.

TE278U, are they all in Australia?
