  1. so many colours. :blinks: lets people see whats going on though. good work
  2. bad news is it in bad condition. check with a engine place but as previously stated if you compare to the other cylinders its not looking positive. the other issue is it may be repairable which will be pricey but could be too soft which would mean its a throw away job :bash:
  3. keen on some decent tyres for the 12' to keep its stock looking nice work
  4. negative not available new any more but i am surprised at some of the stuff i am discovering still avalible
  5. just do what you first said, reco the head, change the head gasket, run oil in it and then drain it after a short time. It should be fine. If the oil is milky its isually due to gasket failure between the coolant and oil gallery. Hope it helps
  6. cyclists in the adelaide hills enough said
  7. Ok so it misses on start up and goes away after 2-3 mins. Likly to be related to the vehicle after you have turned it off the day before. For example leaking injectors will cause a miss once the car is started because of the excess fuel in the combustion chamber. Also cracked head or head gasket problem is related to car being warm then sitting after. Coolant will leak into the combustion chamber until the engine heats up and the engine components expand and stop the leak. Electrical problems can also be heat related due the the metal components that expand and retract so water temp sensor is a possibility as the ecu might be overfuelling the engine which will cause a miss until the motor warms up. There you go a heap of stuff for you to check on.
  8. Use genuine parts and coolant. saying that i actually work for toyota and always use the parts so its really a given i would say this  If you develop a good relationship (sorry that sounded a bit gay) with the spare parts bloke at you toyota dealer you can get really sweet prices. I get below trade on everything (perk of the job) and works out cheaper then a majority of after market versions of the parts you will need. Just give it a go, if not then try to get someone who can get trade to buy parts for you from repco, supercheap, ect. Lastly the places might say they are giving it to you at trade but they are probably just taking a couple of $$ off (better then nothing though). Hope this helps chris
  9. without pics mate it would be a guess, and everyone will tell you the same. have a good look and decide for yourself from there. if you are unsure then take pics and ask tomorrow, hope this helps.
  10. exactly go and talk to them about it
  11. just look up ae86dc, that will cover ke70 and ae86.
  12. its easy as you will need the whole heater box setup and tap. it will be a straight change over job
  13. well there you go, easy fix. happened to a mates skyline after a big weekend. made the same sounds as you said.
  14. might have broken the centre out of the clutch plate
  15. mate has been covered before try searching the site as i tried to link you the page and it didn't work. from what i remember you use a manual pedal box fro a ke55 and modify it to run a hydrolic master cylinder to work the t50 you will need to go behind the 4age. hope you suss it
  16. wheel alignment, camber of the road (as previously suggested), tread difference on the tyres and if the rear drums are adjusted more on one side then the other. just a few suggestion but try it again in the dry and see how you go hope that helps chris
  17. if you undo the engine mounts and lift the engine up on an angle it would make it easier it get it past the oil pick up and cross member. i would recommend using genuine toyota FIPG (form in place gasket) as this is what we use at work during all engine repairs. its in a blue tube, can buy it over the counter at any toyota dealer. just make sure both surfaces are completely clean and oil free. hope this helps chris
  18. just fixed a similar problem on my car, replaced the manifold gasket and just like that its running smoother and idles quiet as. all for the massive cost of $10.80  really cheap but gasket for extractors might be more. hope this helps
  19. i am in the same boat. I need new tail light seals as mine leak and they arnt avaliable genuine
  20. no, a waste of time!!! :bash: good luck with the sale s12 are pretty tough
  21. mate i have had a few flywheels machined and some have had it all machined even when it had a raised section. Even if the raised section is lower you can adjust the clutch cable accordingly to give you that very small amount of more travel that you need
  22. well if u don't know why waste the time saying so. Google will be your best option buddy
  23. i had the same problem on my skyline. the plugs weren't gaped properly. gap them to .7 and that should fix it. if it doesn't your coils have had it but try the plugs first as even second had coils are 70 each. hope this helps
