  2. i will have to take pics so people can see the differences thanks
  3. ok i have a 5 speed gearbox that has a ke70 rear housing but i am unsure of the front half what model its from. Its not the same as a ke55 or a ke70 as i have both of those 5 speeds and the bolt pattern for the bell housing is different. The bellhousing has a flat section at the very top with a bolt hole. Is this pattern to suit a 3k? Did they come out 5 speed? Any help would be good. Thanks Chris
  4. a bit more info... is the starter motor turning over? is there spark at the plugs? is there power at the starter motor? is the motor properly earthed? its just more info makes it easier to help without seeing the car. thanks chris
  5. if you spent all that money on the engine its possible they replaced it and didnt put it in properly. check your reciepts
  6. they will be going to the emission control stuff.
  7. yeah cheers i will measure the chambers but i just want a starting point to get a head that i can use. need to suss the whole motor out as it wont just be a "lets build it quick and cheap" job. do it once and do it right. thanks for the info.
  8. just to add to this, i got scott's 5k and it doesnt have flat top pistons, its running the dished d shape pistons that my other 5k i have has. the 5k i compared it to has the lugs on no 1 and 4, 150mm push rods, d pistons and a small amount of combustion space in the head. so this means that it is running the 22cc psitons and requires a small amount of space in the head for combustion. now the question, i also have a 4k but that has a large combustion chamber in the head. the 5k from scott had a large compession area in the head which had been shaved down to decrease the area. do i use a dished piston head from a 4k or will i have to use a d piston 5k head. i have been doing some searching and i think as long as i don't use a flat top 4k head (as that will increase my combustion chamber size too much) i will be ok? i thought i would just add to this thread instead of starting a new one. thanks chris
  9. i have seen 20 rails they seem different i think this will be model specific.
  10. i didnt even know about this section of rollaclub. could be why you havent had more replies. cruises sound good to me just need the notice and if its a goer. chris

  15. try ringing an exhaust shop tomorrow they will source it alot faster then just looking up ebay
  16. you will have to read the numbers on them and then source them from somewhere like cbc last that i checked you can't source the bearings from toyota thanks chris
  17. +1 but depends if 1&3 2&4 are paired or its different
  18. as the fuel pump is a lift type in the head of the 4afc and the 4afe uses an in tank pump you can't just swap the manifolds over as the heads are different. the blocks are the same but the heads are different on the inlet side. hope this helps chris
  19. +1 for white walls and it will be worth the effort once they are done
  20. keep the quads and if you get or have rear se or sl trims you could hide speakers behind the standard speaker covers that they have.
  21. must be thinking of a 2ac from a ae82. least we have established the motor now and shouldnt be too dear for you
  22. ok so basically i was making the point that they don't come with 4age from factory, and i have seen a 2afc in one at work.
  23. if its a nova it wont be a 4age. it will be a 2afc, 4afc or a 4afe. these should be a little cheaper to buy as its not really known as a performance motor. hope this helps chris
  24. other option is to find a newer car loom you can rape (u-pull-it) and try to make your own loom from there
