So it's not an RA60, it's an SA63. They're actually not that bad a shape. It's the RA40's that I hate - they're SOOO ugly. This is the same model that became the Interceptor for the first night motorkhana at Hidden Valley. :P

I'm so tempted to give this a go. I'd never get the position, but I'd hate to watch the show and think "I could have been that guy" and know that I hadn't even tried to apply.

No, it doesn't. RA60's did NOT come with a T50 gearbox. If you want a T50, you've either got to get a TA22/TA23 or an AE71 or an AE86. HOWEVER, the TA22/TA23 T50 will NOT suit your 4A-C or 4A-GE engine they have the wrong splines. An RA60 will have a W50 gearbox. Nope. It'd go in, no worries, but what's the point? The 18R is a far better starting point, or if one has modifying on the brain, you may as well go for a six or eight cylinder motor. Rhys, who sold me my TA22 and used to drive the yellow Holden one-tonner has an RA60 in Adelaide for sale with a 1G-GTE in it, registered. He mentioned something about it costing someone keen about $4,000 including freight to get it up here to buy the car. That's a pretty good deal - pity RA60's are ugly as sin.

Hi Stewart - welcome to RollaClub! Kings and Lovells both make low springs for the KE70/AE71. I've seen full sets for about $250 from memory on the internet. Just do a bit of a search and I'm sure you'll find something. There is also a company advertising here on RollaClub in the sponsor's section. He deals in a lot of suspension stuff, so you might want to find out how much he can do it for you for. Andrew wants to get some suspension stuff at some point, so you may want to get it at the same time as him and save on freight. Funny - I thought the NT section of RollaClub was also circling the toilet bowl. :dance:

Interesting that there was no comment by the guy taking the pictures about the silver R32 with a turbo'd V6 or V8 in it. Not sure how many cylinders it had as it was a bit hard to see. It was towards the end of the pictures, before the Autech factory, following on from the silver four-door R33 and the blue R34.

A KE50 Corolla - same chassis as a KE30/KE35/KE55 but with a three door body - sort of like an estate car. A TE72 T18 - same chassis as a KE70/AE71 but with a three door body like an estate car - basically the replacement for the KE50 model.

Gregor has a KE70 5-speed available for sale - PM Sbox for details. Do we want to risk another BBQ or just go out somewhere?

LOL - I love the 11,000rpm tacho. Completely unnecessary number of revs, but it looks cool! Mine goes to 10,000rpm, but I intend to use 9,000 of those rpm. Good to see some work progressing!

Hopper Stoppers are shit. I can't recall if their kits just use Corona brakes or a modified Commodore setup. Either way it's $1,200 down the toilet. For $1,200 I'd arrange for S4/S5 RX7 brakes for your car. Could probably just about do all four corners for that price!

Who are you??? You've had the interior apart? Just the boot for the strut brace, or the interior interior? BTW, I know you well enough - the mods don't.

Okay, Daven's back in town, and it's been a while since the last event, so it's time for another NT RollaClub cruise. This will be the last one for 2007, so I'd like to see you all there. What date suits you all best? Options are: Thursday 20 December Friday 21 December Saturday 22 December Sunday 23 December I can do anytime on any of those days. I do realise some of you still have work commitments, so I presume it'll be Saturday or Sunday, but the options are there. Do we want to do a BBQ again like last time? Mainly I need to know your availablility - the rest I can do. And I want you ALL there - Saturdays are no good for Andrew (ae174agze) generally, so we'll try and work around that. Although a Friday or Saturday night cruise would be good - BBQ dinner and then cruise around town a bit. I'll bring the GT-Four. :lolcry:
