bought it off of ebay for 80 bucks usd. The guy said it was for a pre '74 corolla......i asked specifically if it would fit a '69. got it, put it on yesterday, had to cut 1/2" off of the motor mount plate, finished it up today. leaking at head....that'll teach me to try to reuse old gaskets..... i don't really notice any difference, just is louder at the twice pipes any advice?

i've never chipped any gears; i'll just be driving along, and all of a sudden i got nothing, like it's popped outta gear then i have limp home in 4th, the only gear that'll work i JUST yesterday went to a toyota dealer and priced all bearings for under $350

that doesn't seem to make sense to me; if you have a flat top piston that generates 9.5 to 1 copmpression ratio with a certain cc head and then take that head and put it on dished pistons.......wouldn't that make lower compression? I have a kc head, a 3kc head, 2 4kc heads, 2 4ke heads; the kc and 3kc have HUGE ports and the combustion chambers are identical the 4kc's have smaller ports, heart shaped combustion chambers. the 4ke's have TINY ports and the same cumbustion chambers. now, you guys have some wierd stuff out there(5k's?) so i don't know how much of this is true out there.....i have never seen a dished piston on any "k" engine

well i just bought an extractor off e-bay for 79.47 usd. we will see if it fits.... also , i wonder if i could do a service to you guys by getting parts out here. i am buying a '77 dr (te3x or te4x) 3tc auto, factory a/c, maybe power steering. let me know what you might need.

well, i have 3 computers(the one i'm using and 2 spares) they all have 3 screws on one side w/sealer over them....i've been debating on whether to fiddle with them....... p.s. how do i get one of those stickers?

at what point do "wing"(fender) mirrors become passe'? i put 'em on the fenders in the jap spec place on my '69. i think it really suits MY car....but it's a ke18

how do i convert to a map sensor? OH!! DOES ANYONE HAVE AN EARLY SPEEDO GEAR I CAN BUY?! i think it's a 5tooth the one on the trans, not the cable

well, with the rear gears(4.30 i think) i am always running at 4,000 rpm. running the valves loose cured my burning prob. all of the transmissions had at least 150,000 miles on them, I always kept them full. the k60 did not make noise in the doner car; but i tried changing the front/rear seals for good measure, but could not get the front retainer off. i may have tried a little too hard, now it is noisy. thrust? endplay? backlash? not really happy running a 4grand all day every day(especially with so much trans noise) the exhaust is not a true dual, but exits dual...it's kinda loud.

i put a/c into my 69 ke18...the dash unit, condesnser, and dryer are out of a 74 corolla wagon, the hoses are custom made, the compressor is an aftermarket sankyo/sanden unit and the engine bracket is a toyota unit from a 82 starlet i should be able to get you guys parts out here; i'm sure the shipping would be killer though. p.s. i have almost everything to convert to a 4ke; manifolds, injectors, valve cover, fuel rail, ecu, airflow meter. you're on your own for a pump and harness. i don't know what the hilux pickups used for injectors; i used a set for a while, i noted an increase in low to mid range, but a drop in mileage of like 7mpg

also for the trans; EVERY k50,51 and now this k60 have bben noisy then failed. the k 60 is noisy in EVERY gear. The k51 i am currently running is noisy in all but 4th. i was thinking it might be the needle bearings in between the input shaft and mainshaft. also would'nt a cam mess with the airflow system of the ecu? i have 2" exhaust going into a stock Chevrolet Camaro V-8 muffler coming out in duals i tend to burn #4 exhaust valves, so i run them a little loose

:D thanks, "mate" i am in the us; i moved to texas from california, so there is no such thing as a 5k here. i was looking at info on a 7k, but i don't know how to get one over here, not to mention i don't have money. "extractors"? i am assuming that's what we call "headers"...i wish i could find some...there is a set on ebay for a 70-74, but that's a ke 20 and i don't know if they will fit my chassis. i have a turbo from a 88 dodge colt (mitsubishi mirage) i am just hoping it will work on this application. right now i have some head issues as this one has been shaved what too much; compression is not a problem, but the rockers had to be shimmed to get the pushrods in...i am losing a LITTLE oil pressure from there i have a good head, but it's 1,400 mi away. thanks again, i appreciate ALL advice i can get.
