  5. Hey, after another ke20 anyone have any leads? Havent seen anyforsale for a long time, must be a neat example... Anyone know of my old one?
  6. lathes arent the best for machining flywheels, they wont remove hard spots cleanly, it takes more than 5 mins to machine one aswell. best to surface grind them
  7. you want ke20 struts? what you willing to pay?
  8. if the discs are glazed they will squeal. measure the discs and if they are machinable get it done, chamfer the edges of the pads and glue them in with silicone to the caliper.
  9. bring it to me at G&D in kingston mate. sounds like a wheel cylinder issue
  10. seen quite a few tyres like this on customers cars, usually quite dangerous
  11. sounds like your tappet clearances need adjusting badly, unless you have a kombi air cooled engine?? :P
  12. every engine is different, put it on a dyno with a wideband and do it propperly.
  13. thats nice for you evan G, and yes mate i have done all the work myself, i don't care what you have done to what car. How can you tell me to f@$k off when I'm just telling you the truth?? not who's being a wanker? just becasue someone is building a million horse power car makes them better than me? i really couldnt give a f@$k, mine is making a reliable 230rwkw and I'm happy with my efforts thankyou. no I'm not 14 I'm 21 actually.
  14. yes that was two years ago mate, hwo would they run rings around me? you don't know me, ive worked in and out of workshops since i was 12, I'm not a dealership mechanic, i do know what day of the week it is... ive also got many projects on the go, ive built and tuned my own car, a 74 rwd lancer, injected turbo 2.6, i have done all the work my self including wiring up the ecu, building the coilovers etc.
  15. ive tried this method a few times with snapped bolts, get a steel washer with a corrosponding hole size to the broken bolt, put it ontop of the end of the bolt and put a small weld in the center. then weld a nut ontop of the washer and put a spanner onto it, if your luckey it will come out.
  16. i did not realise you were running SU type carburettors. are they balanced correctly? what condition are the needles in, what oil are you running in them. Sorry but you have to admit that by reading the first post it seemed quite ridiculous. I am young but ive had lots of experiences working with many different engine, my old man is a fitter and turner, also mechanic, ive played with things form old v8's to morris marina's mate.
  17. hahaha i like it how you just deleted my 'how to wire a electronic distributor' thread from your links
  18. so you know what the occiliscope pattern of a functioning oxygen sensor looks like????? ive worked hard for my qualifacation and they don't pass people who don't know what they are doing, but my years of experience don't mean much then?? what do you do for a living?
  19. yep real mature, no wonder i hardly come on this forum, too many people with ke70's and no idea
  20. do you know what the normal pattern on a occiloscope of a oxgen sensor looks like? of course its a zig zag pattern, thats the sensor cycling from rich to lean! did you see what the fuel ratio was when going into and away from said wind??
  21. the car isn't going to run rich or lean depending on the wind direction! I'm a qualified mechanic, the only variation or the air fuel mixture is going to be in the jet sizes/ pump squirters, power valve etc. If you want to do something worth wile then run come ducting to the rad support panel for cold air. but of course you have a ke70, so you all know everything so continue to attach horrid cardboard scoops to your car :laff:
  22. mate you are a f@$king idoit, ffs your car isnt going to run rich/lean according to the wind direction. Its people like you who f@$k up decent cars!
  23. i really just wanted to do away with the distributor and use a single trigger crank angle sensor from a ford mondeo lol, only cos i got it for nothing off i engine i changed over at work. i have a electronic 5k distributor in it at the mooment i could use the signal from to go to the ecu, to pulse the injectors, and still retain the mechanical and vacuum advance with my current distributor? planning on running a under car surge tank with a vlt fuel pump.
