possibly but maybe not. the rear vent i'm gonna want to get rid off again anyways. also trying to find a rear quarter that isn't rusty will be difficult. we do however have the wagon next to to use as a base to correctly shape the pieces. i will persevere!! i will win!! lol.

the hatch?? yeah the whole car is in primer apart from the bay. well long story but over the last few months i've been thinking to myself.... i botched some of those rust repairs. used waaay too much bog and fibreglass. although it more than likely woulda been fine i've still decided to start over. i have recently become aquainted with a qualified panel beater and he's agreed to help me out with this beastie. so... i stripped the drivers side rear vent section, flare, and rust repairs. here is pics. before cut this out. the gaping hole. we're gonna kinda tub it but reverse... the inner arch will be replace with a new arch kinda box shaped to allow clearance for wider wheels, the old job still only allowed for an 8" wheel i'm aiming for 9-10" bare metaled and the vent section cut again. my god this car had warped badly. since cutting and stripping tho its kinda gone back to it original shape. also i've started stripping the engine bay as i've decided to go a different path with the bay. progress should come along quite well now... hopefully.

yeah through the front i'm hoping. it should fit. all the windows are out so it should be fine.

ok my rolla finally in its new home at the workshop.

car is getting a 2 tone job. black around the windows and following the bodyline down to the quarter panels accross the bonnet. the rest will be silver. with a red pinstripe separating the two colours. this will continue inside the door jams and doors and boot.

yah mate painted gloss black with a green/gold flip is the plan. also got some trick ideas involving LED's and downlights.

shhhh!!! lol yeah 100 points to you sir!! fibreglass roof lining is going to be in the works very soon!

couple more pics for good measure. the paint as almost cured not tacky but can still sink your nail in. once completely cured will take some snaps of it with a better camera and out in the sun!

new addition to the shed! should supply a really goos amount of air.. oh and the thing weighs 10 milliion tons!!

KE55 = Behind the drivers side kick panel. Under all the relays.

Apparantly you can still get these pistons thru Toyota. They might be able to help you out.

well this side of the cars window is done.. coat of gloss to see it better.. reasonably happy. a good solid prime should fix any scratches etc. 1 more to go!! sigh...

well update for ryan here is his diff now after powdercoat. and here is the DNA Clear and the little container of Plazma Pearls. .. hope to be laying some colour on the bay this wkend..

jst doing some costings now its gonna cost approx half of what i thought. thanks goodness so i may get started in this sooner rather than later.

cheers mate good luck with your conversion. anyways here is a small update.. i just cut the roof of another ke55... here are piccies i won't tell you what planned for this but i can tell you that you probably have never seen it done on a ke. or almost any car for that matter.... hehe and for those of you that know... keep quiet!!

jst got a new gearbox low km's a ke55 5 speed. so no kesev box for me! yeww.

Its a KE55 4dr. Picking up T-minus 8hrs

30 and 55 LCA's are the same length. you can't use the 20 LCA's because the radius rod mounting position as well as the sway bar link aren't the same. trying to make it all fit would be like trying to squeeze 2, 200pound ladies through one door at the same time.
