  1. stock control arms the brakes are mx62 struts and brakes. ra60 power steering arms flipped. to L is R and R is L. seems to have given a bit of neg camber. which is good due to the kingpin angle of the cressy struts creating a bit of + with normal gear.
  2. keep the pics flowing man! love the progress.
  3. cheers Luke!! hehe will be but i got a long way to go yet...
  4. aight.. update . got my wheel. the texture pearl black looks wicked in person.. powdercoated my other steering arm so the front end is bolted up not low enough.. not low at all. dodgy springs... will sort it out soon enough. also the front end offset is very good now.! cheers, Luc
  5. aight so another update didn't do much but hey every bit counts. so i took this out.... lol and put this in..!!!! mid ke30 booster with a pajero MC on it. also tomorrow i'm picking my wheels up from CDT freshly powdercoated and balanced and with NEW tyres!!! yeww. cheers, Luc
  6. yeah i thought perhaps just another thin line doubling the first?
  7. fitted up the splitter... i remeber now how much of a bitch these are to fit properly on your own.. how how much they DON"T line up properly. but hey after much messing about its on and it looks good. also this side is all bolted together. waiting on cash to get my reco steeringbox. also i powdercoated my steering arms.. but on one of em i forgot to mask the tapers! DOH! so thats in the stripper at work setting me behind. oh well. i'm powdercoating my rona steelies tomorrow and hopefully picking up my new tyres.! cheers, Luc
  8. haha its good when you've got everything in the shed ready to go!! well todays update. painted this.
  9. this thread is just ridiculous. how many timejust PERSONAL CHOICE hae to be said. simple as that. what a stupid question to start with.
  10. did aight today. sorted alot of stuff out down the workshop. and as for the car... i installed new front brake hoses. put the last caliper and fresh pads on. and installed brand new indicators brand new rear lisence plate lights brand new radiator overflow bottle. also installed all the hardware for 4 door central locking. now for people that have done the central locking thing.... how much is the rear doors a pain in the ass.!! lol anyways hopefully and update tomorrow.! cheers, Luc
  11. also just think... i reckon early model commodores with late model style kits looks gay... but to the individual and to some of the commodore community they reckon its looks good. but thats my opinion NOT the opinion of some others.
  12. different strokes for different folks. you guys have different opinions to those that like em. i for one do like em and will be putting them on my daily. and quite frankly i don't believe anyone really gives a crap what other people think. at the end of the day cars are for the individual.
  13. the table i have says they are both 10" discs but the ra60's are thicker by 2 mm
  14. if you stick with a carbed motor the wiring would be really easy you wouldn't need any cutting or splicing. perhaps bigger fuel pump and suitable wiring. mounts are easy. mock the engine up to where you think it need to be. pick an easy to get and easy to work with rubber mount and make the pieces accordingly out of cardboard and then steel.
  15. sounds all good but just so you know 2 pack shouldn't react with acrylic. acrylic reacts with enamel.
  16. ok so UPI went pretty well today. got some ra60 p/s arms also got one of those under glove box trays. and some coupe seat belt ends. still need to find a good condish rear seat in brown.
  17. stay away from the miata engine. would be a massive waste of time. the kw/per litre ratio is shitehouse. 4age is a much better engine. the honda f20c would be an interesting and i believe rewarding swap! although the engine is quite heavy. quickest would be a 13B rotory on carbs. these little engine have outrageous kw/litre ratios.
  18. nah cool as. should last but if you get motorvation i'd put a clear in it anyways. bit of extra protection. also you could add a sparkle to it!!...
  19. thanks man much appreciated!! my progress for tonight.. pulled the cruddy old x member out.. and put a powdercoated seam welded one in. also put this in. well most i don't have a good steering box atm nor the correct steering arms so its half bolted in. this stuff is all new with urethane bushes. tomorrow i'm off to UPI hopefully to get a good condish brown rear seat also hopefully some ra60/65 power steering arms and whatever else tickles my fancy while i'm there.
  20. crown looks great.!!! loving it man!! straight 2 pack colour? or a clear on base?
  21. jeez that powdercoating looks nice!!! hehe
  22. also with above sway bar its gone from a 19mm one to a 22mm sway bar. urethane bushes. i also purchased a full set of corona 14" steelies yesty. gotta strip em. will be powdercoating them a texture black pearl. new tread with whitewalls should suit the car rather well.
  23. fair amount of work done tonight.. well i think so. first thing is i installed the other seat. then i took this out.. and put these in sounds good. i then took these out. and put these in. i then took all this out. and then got this, (half of it.) and put it in cheers, Luc
  24. installed these seats. early honda prelude. nice height and very very comfortable. and the mounting looks factory.
  25. its at my work. i can only use it for my stuff though. if i paint someone elses car it cost approx $400-600 to rent the booth out. eek! lol
