jst use car panels? that way it'll be the same thickness. as in spare quarters from another car or something? thats what i used for my rust repairs

well i won't be making these things for a while now i'm on arvo shift nowadays unfortunately.

i guess its just the type of people that join... i was there once too really young thinking my corolla was all that etc and thinking i knew all and just made stupid posts. suspensions is probs the only ways its gonna work if warnings aren't.... i was warned what?.... 8 months ago or so? and i'm still embarrassed that i still have that little warning next to my name. honestly i have a corolla but i'm spending less and less time on this forum as there are fewer and fewer posts and topics worth reading. i would like to see everyone getting along and obeying rules.... but its human nature.... if a forum member doesn't want to obey rules then are they even worth having if all they're gonna do is clutter up this forum with crap?

hmmm funny you say that because it was only about 3 months ago i rang regency about a few things... i asked about track they said 12.5mm or something close to that i forget each side. overall track is only allowed to increase by a small amount. i then asked them if i could get a wider track engineered and they said NO. BUT.... the same dude told me you can't get an aftermarket ECU engineered in SA when an engineer i spoke to and also another bloke i kno has been thru it all says you CAN get an eftermarket ECU through just takes a lot of time and cash.

here some wheel pics. rust repairs done all the doors are now ready for first prime. i would say the car is approx 90% done for first prime. just the annoying bits left.

shocks were probs stuffed before new springs. springs won't wreck a shocker.

ok well here are some more photos!! the work on this car is moving along very quickly. i should be working on my car but hey.... no rush!! this car was very much not straight! quite a lot of straightening has been done the the door in particular. rear window rust is quite bad! and of course all this work is powered by coopers!! hahaha i have more pics but they are on my other phone!

165 on a 7 inch rim?? thats a lot of stretch!!! wheels look sick! i say jsst polish tha shit outta em!! the tyres onn there already look fairly stretched.

cheers man! haha i shoulda linked ya to toymods.. only like 6 pages then.. lol so here are the braces ryan made for my ass!! lol he love it just a mock up! these have plates that go on the other side of the rail. and high tensile 1/2" bolts. also i got him to reset my oil pump spring essentially the same thing as shimming. so there'll be plenty of pressure at 9000rpm.

car is goin thru engineering this will all be part of it if its not legal. but it should be fine. the plan is to use a wagons or utes trye strap thingo. also where the plate is there are gonna be two rhs braces running from chassis rail to chassis rail. the reason for doing it is so i could make my stereo install semi permanent. i have an intank pump so i only have to worry about finiding somewhere for the surge tank. so plan is 12" sub in the centre of the boot. amp either side on custom made wall. and two 'doors' either side of the car to hide the battery and the surge tank. i just hated it when i had subs before. i got a flat and having to pull the stero out was a pain. now i can make the install without worrying about accsessability.

i don't know what u mean by insert? but i reckon that ones looks better. i guess i'm gonna have to put the grill in the bin. ok thanks to ryan i now have the hole filled in. jst gotta finish weldin it. also i've my oil pump pressure spring re set to increase oil pressure. and i have some cool mods coming this wkend hopefully.

car looks sick man!! would go hard. got a few q's for ya ok you used cressida struts i'm using the saem ones but how did you overcome the positive camber? did the camber plates sort it out completely? also what steering arms did you use?

Luke i'm not sure man.... the brackets i made are holfing well. the rotisserie itself would hold a hummer. it jst the bracket that bolt to the car. i wouldn't put much more than 1000kg on it. even then i'd be thinking of re making em

yeah still gasless. the floor pan is thicker so its weldin pretty well. i'm not doing it in small section in various areas. once some are joined i do one quick run over the top. good enough i reckon the heat doesn't seam to be a problem the floor pan isn't warping or anything. ryan yeah i could possibly be interested but you'd need to take engine out etc. so i could whackit on my rotisserie.

good stuff!! i kno what its like to feel like its not worth it but ay!! in the end the car will be how YOU want it!!

hahahaha i thought the same thing with my conversion. think long and hard before going to buy the sr. cos its the extra costts that're gonna kill ya brakes fuel sytem diff g/box wiring etc etc etc.
